As soon as my target lowered its guard completely, I skewered it with my signature killer move and ended its life swiftly.

Oh dear god, grinding for points is gonna be tiresome, ain't it...?

Iron Stomach, Disease Resistance and Taste Enhancement, huh? Asides from Taste Enhancement, the other two are really good now, aren't they? I got enough points to get them, so why not. And while I'm at it, I'll get the other skills which I have deemed necessary for my survival.

Ok, four thousand points have been spent now. As for the remaining amount of points, should I use them to level up? No. I should garner more points first. Since levelling up is an emergency healing method after all. I can't let it go to waste, especially when I have no idea how much points will be needed for me to reach level 5 after moving on to level 4. So, I'll have to leave it for later.

Leaving aside 5000 points though, I can still get more skills. In which case, should I get Dark Magic? I mean, I already have Dark Domain but having it wouldn't hurt, right? Plus, it'd be pretty cool to use magic. And I am a demon after all, so why wouldn't I?

Alright, let's just get it.

Upon using the skill, however, a magic circle appeared and immediately blew up in my face. I got knocked back, and landed on my butt.

Ouch!

A great pain was then felt on my bottom, as I had landed on a sharp pointed rock. It pierced my left ass cheek, causing blood to spew out when I pulled it out and quickly used Dark Domain to stop the bleeding.

Oh... Well, it is possible for me to learn the first two already, but Magic Vein ain't in the list of skills I can learn.

Dammit, I wasted a thousand points on a skill I can't use. Oh well, at least I won't have to spend points on it now that I've gotten it. I'll just put the skill aside for later until I get Magic Vein.

Whoa. What... is this?

All of a sudden, I begin to see a strange phenomenon of mystical colours, floating everywhere around the dungeon like mist; flowing beautifully as well like a river. The rocky terrains, the monsters in the area, me, and even the dead corpse of the wolf which I had just killed. It flows around and envelopes everything in the area.

Is this... magic? Is this what it feels like?

I cannot physically touch it. It is more of a... metaphorical feeling? I'm not really sure... It feels really weird yet, it doesn't really gross me out. Rather, it feels nice, and I welcome it. Warm, gentle and yet, odd. It fills my heart and calms my soul, as if a desire of mine which I had once dreamt off has been fulfilled.

But what was it though? That desire of mine.

...I don't know. I simply do not remember. Did I forget it because of my reincarnation? No, it's not that. I simply forgot about it, mainly because I knew it was something I would never be able to achieve, no matter how hard I tried...

I straightened my back, took a deep breath in and out and closed my eyes. Calmly indulging myself to the wonderous and sensational feeling of magic in air, all around me.

Whew~! That felt great! Somehow, my stress is all gone now after that short meditation.

But anyways, I should store the wolf's corpse into Dark Domain and leave the area now. Wouldn't want to encounter into any monsters now after coming so far.

Oh wait. I just realised... I haven't finish reading the note from Evil God-san yet, have I?

You know... After all of which has happened, I think it's safe to say that I am somewhat of an idiot, aren't I?

I am now surrounded by multiple wolves, who are most definitely angry at me for killing one of their kind. Their teeth visibly revealed itself as they growl; their glaring eyes glows bright red, seething with anger.

Sweat dripped from my head, as my knees shook. The calmness which I had, left immediately, as the stress which I had just lost, came back.

The hell? Fear Resistance levelled up all the way to four? Are they using some sort of intimidation skill?

Somehow I feel a lot calmer now, thanks to that.

I stood up, and calmly swept the dust off my butt while the wolves slowly approach me. I then moved closer to the dead wolf corpse and place my hand on it, without taking my eyes off the other wolves.

Sorry boys, I killed one of your friends here. But hey, you know what they say in a place like this...

Survival of the fittest. So, bye bye!

I grabbed the dead wolf corpse and threw it at one of the wolves in front of me. The wolves dodged; moving out of the corpse's way which ended up creating an opening in their formation.

Now, Super Speed!

Without a moment's waste, I activated my skill which increases my Speed stat by 1000 and ran past the wolves. They tried chasing after me, but with Super Speed and the Coward title effect now active, I was able to outspeed them easily and escape from their clutches.

It's a shame I wasn't able to collect their dead friend's corpse for meat, but living is more important than that. Besides, I still have some leftovers from the first wolf I killed.

So goodbye, doggies! May we meet again when only one of you is alone!
