The carriage stopped near the outskirts of the city. Luluka got out followed by Ruby.

 

They walked into the forest nearby. This forest was named The Forest of Beginner, located near the capital city. 

 

Why was the capital city located near the forest filled with monsters? 

 

Simple, everywhere in this world was full of monsters. They were creatures created by pure mana and will continue to respawn even if you were to slaughter all of them.

 

If that was the case then, wouldn’t the monster also respawn in the city, you asked?

 

That wasn’t the case, because every city or town was considered to be a Safe Zone. There was a huge magic stone provided by the Mage Association in the center of every city or town.

 

This huge magic stone was imbued with a very powerful barrier spell that could repel any monsters. Thus, was the reason why there were no monsters spawning in the city or town.

 

The Forest of Beginner was filled with low to middle-low level monsters and was the perfect spot to build the capital city nearby. Traveling around here was also relatively safe.

 

Once on the edge of the forest, Ruby couldn’t help but warn her mistress. “M’lady, although the monsters here aren’t that high-leveled, you shouldn’t be careless and get hurt, okay?”

 

Ruby sounded like a big sister just now. Luluka couldn’t help but giggled at her worry-wart maid.

 

“Yesss~ I understand, big sis.” Luluka said in a childish tone as a mischievous smile appeared on her face.

 

Hearing that, Ruby couldn’t help but blush again. Her mistress was so cute! She felt like hugging her, but managed to restrain herself.

 

They walked a little deeper into the forest and finally, a monster appeared!

 

It was a Horned-Rabbit. It looked just like a normal rabbit, except, it was thrice the size of a normal rabbit and had a razor sharp protruding horn on its forehead.

 

Ruby took out her twin daggers and took a battle stance!

 

“Get behind me, m’lady!”

 

She shouted like a knight in shining armor trying to protect the princess. Luluka could only smile wryly at her maid's exaggerated reaction.

 

Sure, the Horned-Rabbit was very fast and its horn was very dangerous, but it’s body was very fragile. Luluka felt like she could handle this level of monster, no problem.

 

She unsheathed her short sword and walked past Ruby. “Don’t worry, big sis. I can take care of it.”

 

Luluka said in a leisurely manner as if she was an old lady on a sunny vacation. 

 

The Horned-Rabbit saw a lot of openings in Luluka and lashed at her at fast speed! Ruby saw this and was about to react, but— 

 

*Slash!*

 

Blood gushed out as the Horned-Rabbit's body split in half. Luluka stood in her place with her short sword raised up high. Droplets of blood dripped down from the blade.

 

So fast! 

 

Ruby was astonished at Luluka’s speed. Luluka’s speed was as fast as her, a trained battle maid!

 

She knew that Lord Arthur taught Luluka swordsmanship, but never once had she thought that Luluka would be this fast! A newfound respect for her mistress suddenly grew in Ruby’s heart.

 

Luluka swung her sword to get rid of the blood. She then turned to Ruby and smiled beautifully. “See? Easy, right?”

 

Ruby took a moment to recover from her shock. After that, she sighed and smiled wryly. “Yeah. That was amazing, m’lady,” she said sincerely.

 

Luluka laughed out delightedly after receiving such praise. 

 

They kept walking deeper into the forest. Every time the monsters came out, Luluka would take care of it in the same manner. Her elegant swordsmanship and relaxing stance captivated Ruby’s heart.

 

Luluka kept slaying monsters one after another, while Ruby used a Storage Ring to store the monster’s carcasses. 

 

After hunting for a while, Luluka started to get bored. The reason why she came here in the first place was to try out her [Blood Sucking☆] skill.

 

She knew that her father didn’t allow her to use her Racial Skill. But, if she was careful not to let anyone see her then, maybe it would be fine?

 

‘Argg… I’m so curious! I just wanna know!’

 

Luluka decided to sneakily test her skill out as quickly as possible and pretend like nothing happened.

 

But now—there was one problem.

 

‘How should I get far away from Ruby without being suspicious?’

 

Luluka tried to think of a way to isolate herself for a while. 

 

Would saying that she needed to go pee worked? In such a forest filled with monsters, if she wanted to go pee then, Ruby would surely follow her and guard her, so that was a no no.

 

Luluka was lost in thought for a while when a light bulb lit up in her head! Yes, this could work!

 

Luluka stopped walking and looked at Ruby. “Ruby, let’s take a break for a while, shall we?”

 

Ruby looked at Luluka and smiled. “Are you hungry, m’lady? You haven’t eaten anything since you woke up.”

 

Luluka rubbed her stomach and smiled wryly. “Yeah, I’m so hungry. I feel like I could eat a whole cow!”

 

Ruby giggled and tap her finger on the Storage Ring. A basket filled with warmed-foods suddenly appeared in her hand.

 

Seeing this, Luluka laughed. “Hahaha~ You’re very well prepared, aren’t you? What a capable maid you are. How admirable~”

 

Ruby smiled proudly. She was glad to receive such praise from her mistress.

 

Those days of hellish training weren't in vain!

 

Luluka began eating her food, while Ruby kept watch. She ate for a while until—

 

“Ruby, I need to go pee.” 

 

Luluka said with a blush on her face while clutching her hands over her crotch. 

 

“Alright then, I’ll go wi-“

 

“No thanks! I don’t want someone invading my private business!” Luluka interrupted Ruby with an embarrassed face.

 

Seeing this, Ruby giggled as she understood what Luluka meant. She tapped her finger on the Storage Ring again, and a fist-sized blue magic stone appeared in her hand.

 

“Understood, m’lady. But take this Barrier Stone with you.”

 

Luluka nodded and took a Barrier Stone. She then hurriedly walked away while shouting, “I’ll scream if something happens! So don’t follow me, okay!”

 

“Understood, m’lady,” Ruby nodded with a wry smile on her face.

 

Luluka came to a stop at an isolated area. Basking in silence, an evil smile slowly crept onto her face as she began to chuckle.

‘Finally, time to myself.’

 

*Rustle* *Rustle*

 

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from the bushes nearby. Not long after, two Horned-Boars came out of the bushes!

 

Unlike the Horned-Rabbit, the Horned-Boar had both the same appearance and size as a normal boar. The only distinct feature was a sharp long horn on its forehead.

 

It pointed forward like a spear. Unlike Horned-Rabbit, Horned-Boar was considered to be almost the middle-ranked monster. It could pose a serious danger to a newby adventurer if one was to be careless.

 

The two Horned-Boars rushed at Luluka like a mad bull! 

 

But unlike before, Luluka didn’t unsheathe her sword this time—instead, she took a battle stance similar to Ruby’s. A smirk on her face grew wider as her bright blue eyes turned blood red. 

 

The nail on each of her fingers grew longer and sharper. She rushed at the incoming Horned-Boars head on!

 

The two forces rushed at each other and were about to collide! Luluka spun around and twisted her body to avoid the sharp horn! 

 

She then fiercely swiped her claw at one of the Horned-Boars! The sensation of ripping the monster’s flesh felt so exhilarating!

 

One of the Horned-Boars cried out in pain as the other one changed its direction to face Luluka. A faint red light suddenly enveloped its body as it rushed at her again, this time with an unimaginable speed!

 

Luluka was alarmed and tried her best to dodge!

 

She rolled on the ground and quickly got up.

 

A sudden pain on her right shoulder reminded her of her injury. She took a quick glance at it and realized that her sleeve was torn open with a shallow wound on her shoulder!

 

The tip of the horn must have grazed her just now! The wound on her shoulder was slowly closing on its own. It was the power of her special pendant.

 

The reason why normal vampires could walk under the sunlight was because this pendant had the ability to regenerate at a rapid pace!

 

When the vampire was exposed to sunlight, their skin would be burned slowly, but this pendant had a regeneration ability, thus continuously negating the effect of the sunlight.

 

Although Luluka was the Vampire(Variant) now and could walk under the sunlight normally, the pendant was still very useful.

 

‘Damn it! What the hell was that!’

 

Luluka began to panic as the Horned-Boar readied its next attack! 

 

She held her hand toward the Horned-Boars and activated her next skill, [Blood Manipulation]!

 

A stream of blood came out of each of her fingertips and formed into five bullets. 

 

The Horned-Boar's body glowed again as it rushed at her with speed faster than before!

 

A wicked smile appeared on Luluka's face as she shot her Blood Bullet at the incoming Horned-Boar! 

 

tu! tu! tu! tu! tu!

 

Each bullet pushed the Horned-Boar backward and made bloodied holes on its body! Luluka then rushed toward it and finished it off with a claw swipe!

 

And just like that, the two Horned-Boars met their end…

 

Luluka chuckled coldly as she looked at her now torn sleeve. 

 

‘Tsk! How am I going to explain this to Ruby?’

 

She shook her head and decided to think about it later. Right now, there was more important thing for her to do. 

 

Luluka chuckled delightedly as she approached two Horned-Boars corpses. She kneeled beside it and opened her mouth. “Thanks for the food~”

 

She dug her fangs into the Horned-Boar’s body and began sucking their blood. The rich flavors spread through her tongue…

 

This was amazing! 

 

It tasted like the combination of stakes and desserts combined together into a perfect flavor! The more she sucked the more she became addicted to it.

 

‘Not good… If this continues, I’ll….’

 

She couldn’t stop herself and continued to suck. 

 

*ding!* A notification message suddenly popped up in front of her, but she couldn’t care less. The only thing on her mind was to savor this wondrous flavor till its last drop.
