*Ringtone*

Jay woke up at midnight, hearing the sound of his mobile ringing. Natasha sleeping in his arms, squirmed, opening her eyes, "it's yours."

Jay turned to his side, picking his mobile from the side table, looking at it, "Sorry, sometimes these calls are urgent."

Natasha closed her eyes, "you don't have to explain that to me."

Jay put the phone on speaker, "hello?"

"Jay? Jay! I messed up! I think I killed someone! Please! Help me!"

Natasha and Jay sat up, "Felicia? Wait, what do you mean you killed something?"

Felicia was hyperventilating, "you said if something happens, you will help me! I didn't mean to kill him! I swear! He was being forceful, and I pushed him, and somehow he slid down from bed, and the lamp fell on him and then...It was an accident. I didn't plan to kill him!"

"Felicia, stop, calm down. Take a deep breath. Where are you? I'll be right there. It will be fine, I promise. Just calm down and tell me, where are you?"

Felicia breathed heavily, "I am at Flushing, my house. Where you first met me? How long would it take for you to come over."

Jay hesitated, looking towards Natasha, turning his eyes towards the phone. If he wasn't wrong, then he knew what happened. And if that was, so it would be a bad idea to make her wait.

He took a deep breath, "give me ten seconds."

He cut the call, looking at Natasha, "sorry, I will explain everything later?"

Natasha watched him closely, "10 seconds? From LA to NY?"

Jay stood up, opening the wardrobe to take and wear a robe, "No, that was for finding and wearing this robe."

He rotated his wrist, and orange sparks appeared in front of him, opening a portal, "come, I will explain it later?"

Natasha parted her lips, looking at the portal, without a change in her expression, "you were talking about honesty?"

Jay pressed his lips, shaking his head, "No, I remember saying there is something that I can't change. Come with me."

He walked inside the portal, making Natasha stand up, taking a robe for herself. She touched the sparks of the portal, expecting to get shocked, but nothing happened.

She put her hand inside, waving it, stepping in, breathing two different types of air, "if you are at the center when it closes, you will be cut into two."

Natasha glanced towards Jay, stepping on his side, watching the portal close, "you can teleport?"

"No, that's just magic," Jay said, looking for Felicia, "Fel!"

Natasha turned her eyes towards Jay. To the girl who opened the door, rushing out, scared, shivering, crying, hugging him.

She had platinum hair and an athletic body. Natasha couldn't see her face since it was buried in Jay's chest, but the side of it was beautiful.

Jay stroked her head, hoping to calm her down, "Natasha, can you see what happened?"

Natasha nodded, passing by them, entering the room. Her eyes fell on the body, which made her frown.

It wasn't because it was a body, but because of how it died. Natasha stepped over it, reaching the bed, watching the signs of struggle, pieces of torn clothes.

"She pushed him," Her eyes turned towards the broken pieces of a lamp, "He fell down, and somehow the lamp fell on his head."

Her eyes fell on the blood on the pieces, making her look at the young man's head. There was a single gash on the other side of the head, but it wasn't from the lamp.

She checked his sole, watching blood, "He got up, shaky, stepping on the pieces, falling down. His head hit the bed, getting this injury. It was just bad luck."

She squatted down, checking his pulse or heartbeat. It made her narrow her eyes, "Hmm."

She walked out, looking at Jay and Felicia, "he's alive, barely. If you want to save him, then you should hurry."

Jay stroked Felicia's head, whispering to her, "did he?"

Felicia shook her head, "he tried...I am sorry. I freaked out. There was so much blood."

Jay cradled her face, wiping her tears with his thumb, "sorry for what you went through. You made the right call. I'll handle everything, but you might have to come with me. I will need a little more time a few minutes to pick things up?"

Natasha crossed her arms, leaning against the mull post, "that boy could die anytime."

"I'll take him with me. Stay with Fel?"

Natasha nodded as Jay passed by her entering the room. He rotated his wrist, and a portal appeared beneath the boy. But his body didn't fall. Instead, Jay stepped in before the portal rose, closing, "I gotta make him teach me."

She turned her eyes towards Felicia, who walked over to the sofa, sitting down, "Sorry. It must be uncomfortable, having someone you don't know barge in at such a delicate time."

Felicia covered her face with her hands, looking up, "No, it's good actually. It's something to divert my mind. You two are...?"

Natasha bit her inner lip, looking down, thinking, "Hm, not sure. We are something. Ex-colleagues? I am working undercover where he works, and so we are just together."

Felicia gave Natasha a double-take, "undercover, you are an agent? Like him? Isn't that classified?"

Natasha shifted her green eyes, "yes." But there was something she wanted to know.

Felicia looked down, cleaning her face, "thank you."

"So, how did you know him?" Natasha curiously looked at Felicia.

"I...He came to my high school to meet someone else. He came to see their performance, and I was performing too. Once I got into college, his company sighed a contract with me. It was a simple contract, not even that binding. But he knew about me more than anyone else, and when I panicked. He was the one that I thought of."

Natasha looked towards the blood, "hm, was it like, he knew you? Somehow?"

Felicia looked up in surprise, "Yeah, something like that. It was creepy, and I thought he was a stalker. But then he told me he was an ex-agent and read about my father in a file. Although I still get why he helped me."

Natasha's eyes narrowed as she whispered, "yeah, I don't get it either."

Felicia looked down, "when I started college, I went to a party. I drank too much, and I went to the washroom. Some drunk senior came in, and he...tried to... Rick saved me."

Natasha looked down, walking towards her, sitting down beside her, taking Felicia's hand in her palms, "Rick...the guy in your room?"

Felicia looked towards her hands, wanting to pull away, but she didn't, "yeah. We became good friends, and we spent most of our time together. Until tonight, he suddenly said we should take our relationship further. I didn't want to. And then he tried to...rape me too...and I just pushed him, and he fell, and everything went to hell. I still don't understand why..."

Natasha parted her lips when a portal opened. And Jay was standing on the other side, "come."

Felicia blinked blankly, "what is that? Is that a portal? Wait, how did you come here so soon?"

Jay smiled, "it's good that you are thinking about these things. Come over, I'll tell you."

Natasha looked up curiously, looking at the room behind Jay, walking over, with Felicia following.

The two of them entered a small room with a pod on the left. And a supercomputer on the right side of the darkroom.

Rick was inside the pod. The gash on his head was healing with naked eyes, "that is?"

"A healing pod works with Chronicom technology," Jay sat down in front of the supercomputer, and a hologram of Primo appeared, "ever met this guy?"

Felicia looked at Jay, with plenty of questions, before turning towards the hologram, "I don't know...looks familiar."

Jay clicked on a button, and an outline of numerous men and women appeared in the hologram, extending from Primo, like a graph, "as far as I know. Primo meets with people, puts a flame in them. This flame shape energy lays dormant in them. Until they are extremely negative mental state, in danger, looking for help. When that happens, this flame bursts out, giving them an ability, allowing them to protect themselves."

Felicia confusedly looked towards him, while Natasha turned her eyes towards Fel, "you mean?"

Orange sparks appeared on Jay's palm, turning into a sword, then shield, then hammer, "I have magic, so I could sense these flames. I met someone who went through this process, and I figured it would be a good idea to train them. To teach them to control their powers before they hurt someone."

He pointed at Felicia, "like yours, you manipulated probability, making that accident happen with a single push, nearly killing that guy. It's not like he didn't deserve it. But if you don't learn to control it, you might cause someone close to you to be jinxed. And most likely, die."

Felicia covered her face in annoyance, feeling hurt, "so you knew about this? That was why you knew everything about me? That was why you even became close to me?"

Jay walked up to her, putting his hand on her shoulder, making her look towards him, "to protect you, and others like you, yes. You might not like the way I do things, and you might stop thinking of me as a friend too. But there is only one way out of this place, and that is with my permission. You'll say here, and I will teach you how to control your powers, and then you are free to go."

Felicia slapped his hands away, "get away from me."
