Jay entered the meeting room, narrowing his eyes as he looked at Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Coulson, and Natasha, "so the whole gang is here. Just for me?"

Fury slid the table towards Jay, "for this."

Jay glanced over towards the pictures of him. Being in LA in one second and coming out in New York in the other. He slid it back, mockingly sitting down, "Oh, wow, after so many years of working together. You finally figured out my big secret. Should I applaud you? Say that you did good work?"

He scoffed, turning his eyes towards Maria, "the list of SHIElD agents that were on Vanko?"

Maria's mouth twitched after hearing his comment. He wasn't wrong. He worked for SHIELD for so many years, and they didn't know anything. She glanced towards Fury, who stared at Jay, smiling, "you wanted us to find out. Why? You hid it for so many years. Why now?"

Jay slowly blinked. His scarlet eyes watched Fury, "things are different now. You will understand sooner or later when you have a disaster over your hand. Oh wait, you already have one, don't you? Vanko created an Arc Reactor. Bruce Banner is on the move and coming towards New York. Your search for Captain America in Greenland didn't bore any fruits, and World Council doesn't want you to waste resources on Avengers Initiative?"

Fury's eye glanced towards Natasha, who turned towards him in surprise, "you are trying to find Captain America?"

Jay laughed, "Oh, you do compartmentalize. Director, I can call you Director, right? Do you seriously think you are the only one keeping an eye on me? I am also keeping a close eye on your actions. So, let's stop playing this game over who knows what or who has the upper hand."

Fury looked towards him, "it was a field operative of ours. But Ten Rings were able to help Vanko getaway."

Jay wanted to tell Fury to shift Vanko to a SHIELD prison. But then, giving Hydra access to Vanko didn't seem like a good idea, "I already know those things. Stop playing coy with me and tell me information that I can use?"

Maria cleared her throat, "It was Mark Smith."

Jay glanced towards her, nodding, "thank you for that. Now, do you have plans for dealing with Hulk?"

"No, we are going to track him for most parts," Fury said.

"Keep me informed. If Hulk runs out of control, then tell me and send me a location. I should be able to stop him."

Fury leaned back, smiling, "you will interfere? Reveal yourself to the world?"

Jay glanced away, shaking his leg, thinking. He turned his eyes towards Natasha, "should I create a costume?"

Natasha shifted her eyes towards Coulson, Fury, and Maria, back towards Jay, "don't ask me. It's up to you. Do what you want?"

"Coulson, cape or no cape?"

"Huh? Um...No cape?"

"Maria, what kind of mask?"

Natasha leaned forward, rolling her eyes, "stop it. We both know that you don't like things like that. You will drop it the moment you make it. Don't you have anything important to talk about? Or you wouldn't have come all the way."

Jay leaned back, pressing his lips, "hmm, revealing myself doesn't sound like a good idea."

"It isn't a good idea. Tony Stark has taken the mantle of a superhero. But that is what has made his influence decrease. Because the government sees him as a superhero. You are the new face of the Stark Industry. In some ways, people are more amiable of your suggestion than they are of your Tony. You reveal that you have powers, and it goes away."

Jay waved his hand, "Hm, I know." Jay scratched the back of his ear in annoyance, "I just don't like the idea of hiding. Anyway, you are so worried about my influence. Whom do you want to pressure? Is this still about the Avengers Initiative?"

"Yes, I need some extra budget, to say the least," Fury leaned back.

"I gave the extra money to SWORD. I don't have any extra budget left for you," Jay apologetically shook his head, "maybe next year. Although I was working on a new project like digging machines and constructions one. I can lend you some to dig for the Captain."

Fury tapped his finger on the chair's arm, thinking deeply, "that would do. But SWORD? Why?"

"Because of Monica Rambeau. I can feel Primo's fire in her. It is much, much bigger."

Jay glanced towards Fury, "it's in a league of its own. There are only a few other people that I have seen something like that in."

"I don't understand. You want to awaken it, or you want to keep Monica sleeping?" Natasha leaned forward, asking.

Jay was a bit lost, "I don't know. For now, I am just keeping an eye on her. Frankly, she has all the qualities that I'd want from a hero. She is someone like Captain America, even though it's only a bit."

"That would be more than enough for me," Coulson kept his smiling face, looking at Jay.

Jay smiled at him, letting out a breath, "I know. And I don't think it's about what she would turn out to be. But..."

"Whether it is your place to decide what she should be like?" Fury said, "and here I thought you had the guts to do this job."

Jay pressed his lips, "Yeah, maybe I don't. I don't like deciding the fate of people. Once you give her that push, she will be thrown into a world that might not be so kind to her. Just because she is different."

He stood up, "anyway, thank you for this meeting. It was good seeing you. But there is something that I have to do."

He opened the portal, making Fury stand up, "wait, what is that? Some kind of technology?"

Jay waved his hand, "it's magic."

Maria looked at Jay disappearing, watching him, "he was joking about the magic part, right?"

Coulson let out a hollow laugh, "I don't think he is?"

Natasha looked towards her hands, softly asking, "what are you going to do about Monica?"

Maria narrowed her eyes, looking at Natasha, "you know that this might be a trick? As far as I know, Jay, if he told us. He wants us to do his dirty work by triggering Monica's ability."

Natasha shrugged, without saying anything, looking towards Fury.

Fury was lost deep in thought, "he didn't leave me much choice. He said that the fire inside Monica is shared by a few. I need to know how strong she is, to know how strong these few others might be. Moreover, I know about her. It wouldn't be a lie that she has things that I would want from a hero and soldier. I'll call for her."

He turned his gaze towards Natasha, "can you fight against her?"

"Yes, I can."

"Good, Coulson. Get those machines from Jay and transfer them to Greenland. I want Captain found."

LA, Underground Room,

"Echo, are you keeping an eye on Vanko? Tell me if there is a change."

"Yes."

"What do you think about the idea for a dress?" Jay flicked his fingers down, and a mirror appeared in front of him.

"Sir doesn't like accessories, so how about a hood?"

"Hood?"

Echo created a holographic projection of him wearing black pants, a black t-shirt. He wore that under a long black coat with a circular neck and raised collar that reached his chin. His holographic projection raised the hood, making it hard to see his face, "I am sure you would like the challenge? To not let your face being shown while you fight?"

"Well, this would do for now," Jay waved his hand, and the holographic image disappeared with the mirror.

"Is there anything else that I should know about?"

"Other less important matters have been put into reports."
