"Sir?"

"Yes, Maria?"

"Mr. Aldrich Killian is here to see you and Pepper. Miss Pepper is waiting in the meeting room."

"Hmm, all right. I'll go," Jay was leaning on the chair, with his legs on the table, staring at the colored hologram of the 21x21 Rubick's cube floating in the air that he was playing with.

He let out a tired sigh as he shut the hologram down, "I work too much."

*Cough* "Congratulations on the new achievement of making an AI feel that you are absurd, Sir."

Jay chuckled, which turned into a sparkling grin, "you know it's hard work to not solve a Rubik's cube. I mean, it's all solved inside my mind, but I have to keep moving my hands to solve it. Do you know how tiring that is?"

"Yes, Yes I do." Echo replied, "that is why I don't have a body, Sir."

"Ah, that explains so much," Jay rubbed his chin, his eyes twinkling, "No, you cannot get rid of your body, Sir."

"You suck, Echo," He disappointedly sighs, walking out of the room. He crossed Maria's desk, waving his hand as he watched her talking on the phone.

She smiled, waving back while talking, writing something down on the paper.

Jay crossed through the busy department, climbing a floor, reaching Pepper's room.

He walked inside the room, looking at the handsome sitting opposite Pepper. He waved at the man with a light smile on his lips, "you must be Mr. Aldrich? It's good to see you."

Aldrich frowned before a smile appeared on his face, "it's an honor meeting you."

Jay pulled the chair, sitting down adjacent to Pepper and Aldrich, looking at Peppe, "what happened?"

Pepper was holding her head, looking at the file in front of her, "did you buy AIM's shares?"

"Yeah, I have acquired 33% as of this morning. In fact, I am the highest shareholder, but I still want 51% of them," Jay smiled, happily telling her.

Pepper raised her head, noticing Aldrich's frustration, knowing that he realized the same thing as her. She cleared her throat, "Mr. Aldrich Killian is CEO of AIM, that you are in the middle of buying."

"Ah," Jay winced, glancing at him, with his hand covering his lower face. He raised his hand, his eyes lit up, "if you are worried about your job, then don't. I have no plan of running it."

Aldrich gaped before trying his best to smile, "I just wanted to know why are you even buying the shares of my company? Is there some particular project you like? Do you want the ownership of one of our items? Is there something you need for one of your projects?"

Jay rubbed the Ring of One, using provoke on Aldrich, "Nah, nothing like that. It's because of the name. I like the name Advanced Idea Mechanics, so you know. I thought since I had nothing better to do with the money. I started buying. It's nothing personal, really."

Aldrich gritted his teeth, grasping the armchair, standing up, "you can't do that! I gave everything to build Advanced Idea Mechanics! You can't just come and take it because you have nothing better to do."

Jay pressed his lips, innocently blinking, "don't worry. I won't do that. Although mostly it's because I have already done it, but I promise I won't do that again."

Aldrich glared at him, "Stark, and you won't get away with this!"

Pepper stood up, "wait, Aldrich, I can assure you Tony or Stark Industries has nothing to do with this."

Jay nodded, shrugging, "I can attest to that. He doesn't even know who you are."

Aldrich glared at him, calming down, looking at Pepper with a cold gaze, "thank you for your hospitality."

He turned away, walking towards the door, "Aldrich...wait..."

Pepper looked at Aldrich's back, not paying attention to her, walking out as she sat down, shooting a look at Jay, "what was that about? You didn't have to be so rude?"

Jay chuckled, "I tried to be as nice as I could be. Don't worry about it; as you said, this has nothing to do with Stark Industries."

Pepper rolled her eyes, "that is what I have to say. What do you want from AIM?"

Jay became silent, looking away, making Pepper raise her eyebrows, before she stood up, "Oh my god! You don't trust me?!"

She turned around, covering half her face with her hands, "you don't actually believe me enough to tell me why you are doing this."

Jay pressed his lips, blinking, "well, it's not that I don't trust you...I just don't trust you with this."

Pepper pointed at the door, closing her eyes, "get out."

Jay scratched his chin, without standing, sighing, "all right. It's not like I think you are naive. But you do see good in people and want to believe them. So, I am worried that you'd want to believe in Aldrich and slip. It might spoil everything. Also, I don't have any proof yet. But I am working on it."

"By buying the whole company?" Pepper stared at him.

"In the wrong hands, this project could be catastrophic. To destroy it, I would have to kill someone. So, I am going taking a long way around, controlling it," Jay stood up, "don't worry about it. It will be over before you know it."

Pepper sat down, letting out a breath, "so this is not a company-related thing, but your Superhero thing?"

"Hmm, I guess it is," Jay said, smiling, "didn't think about it like that."

Pepper held her head, "how bad?"

Jay narrowed his scarlet eyes, "you'll know soon enough."

The Next Day,

Primo entered Aldrich Killian's office, "what did you say to Jay?"

Aldrich was lying on a relaxing chair, trying to calm himself down, "don't worry about it. That problem will be taken care of soon."

"You mean by her?" Primo put the tablet in front of him, making Aldrich frown and open his eyes.

He looked at the video of experimentation going on, the video of him talking to a woman, her arm regrowing, and then another one blasted.

"What? Where did you find this!" He growled, clenching on it.

Primo shrugged, "it's all over the news, with your face and the headlines. Our stocks are taking a dive, and it probably won't be long before he starts buying again. I am sure there will be many of them who'd be more than willing to sell."

Maya rushed in, "Primo! Aldrich! Open the Tv; it's all over the news!"

Primo glanced at her, "saw. It seems our Boss went ahead and picked the fight. Now it seems he sent one of the test subjects to assassinate Jay. If Jay dies, well, he's going to jail for murder. If he doesn't, then he's going in for attempted murder and other charges. Either way, we are done for. Unless you have any brilliant idea."

"Shut up!!! Let me think!!" Aldrich shouted, turning towards the table. When Primo opened the Tv, looking at the news.

"We have breaking news!! We are live near Stark Industries, where there has been a deadly attack on the co-owner of the Stark Industries."

There was video footage of a woman attacking Jay with a glowing body. She punched him, but he dodged while her hand melted the car's gate. But Jay slid to the other side of the car, opening the door. He took out the gun, shooting at the woman, but she barely twitched before walking towards him.

She walked near him, grasping his neck, causing the smell of skin burning to cover the air.

Yet somehow, he ignored the pain, shoving the Glock in her mouth, tilting it, shooting her brain out.

The woman widened her eyes, falling down letting go of Jay's neck, which was burned as he fell to his knees.

The guards from the building came running, surrounding him, holding their weapons towards the woman. And the reporter rushed over, with the cameraman behind her.

"Mr. Jay? Are you all right?"

Jay stood up, taking off his t-shirt, revealing his muscular body, making even the reporter speechless. He wrapped it around his neck to cover the gruesome burned mark. He spoke in a rough voice as one of the guards took off his jacket, giving it to Jay, "ugh...yeah...good thing that I know Ms. Helen. I wouldn't have to wait long to get rid of this scar...maybe. Hopefully."

He wore the jacket, but it was too small, but it hid most of his chest and nipples, as he looked towards the woman with a pained expression, "do I need a lawyer?"

"Sir, it was self-defense," Happy walked over, with a few bodyguards, when Iron Man landed beside him before it turned into nanoparticles, retreating.

Tony looked at Jay, pulling down the t-shirt, "you are hurt. What happened?"

Jay scratched his cheek; he took a deep breath, speaking fast, "kinda my fault? I think. I was buying the shares of AIM; they have successfully created a hologram tech of their own. It's like putting a part behind the ear, and it can show the hologram of the brain. I thought it would be helpful with our own project. But then Adrian came over, and when I said I bought shares because I wanted to work together. He rejected and stormed off. I spent the night researching deeply and came across a video. So, I was going to confront him and ask if this was another super soldier governmental project like Hulk and went wrong. But before I could leave, I was greeted by her. I thought I was going to die, so I posted the video before my death, but I ended up killing her."

He let out a breath, patting Tony's shoulder, "so, a person Enhanced by Science. A Mad Scientist and a superpowered assassin. This one is all yours. I am going to get Helen to heal my wong."

Tony frowned, "I'll deal with his, get healed."

"What I said."
