At Night,

Primo turned to his side, looking towards the girl sitting beside the bed, on the chair, staring at him.

"Sweety, that is so creepy," Primo took a deep breath, sitting up, rubbing his eyes. He looked at Ruby, "what is going on."

Ruby chewed in her mouth, without saying anything, "nothing."

Primo sat down at the edge of the bed, stroking her head, "that doesn't really work with me. You see, the moment when you sat there. Before I even opened my eyes, the moment I felt your presence. Thousands of other possibilities came to my mind. I probably already know why you are here."

Ruby crossed her arms, staring at him, "oh. Then why don't you tell me what?"

Primo clutched the edge of the bed, closing his eyes, "you want to talk about it?"

Ruby shook her ankle, closing her eyes, chewing her lip, "no...I don't. Dad..."

Primo looked up with a soft look in his orange eyes, "you are still calling me that?"

Ruby sniffed, taking in a shuddering breath, "I don't care...you are my Dad."

Her nose twitched, her eyes became red, she sucked in her lips, "you...are my...Dad..."

Primo stood up, standing beside her, hugging her head, with her head resting on his stomach, "yeah...you are my daughter. And that is all you need to know."

He hesitated, kneeling on the floor, kissing her head, "so baby...about that joining house thing?"

Ruby let out a laugh, wiping her tears, "you are the worst Dad ever."

She looked up, looking into his eyes, "why do you listen to me? If I didn't follow...if I didn't...hear...I would never have noticed."

Primo raised his eyebrow, "take that worst Dad comment back, and I will tell you."

Ruby glared at him, making him raise his eyebrow, stare back at her, "oh, all right."

He sat up on the bed, "because...you were like me. Created to be a weapon for someone else's desire. But the ones that did the creating wanted us to be weapons...no humans. Denying the fact in their hubris that we were humans...not weapons. I had few choices that day...kill you...give you to SHIELD...wipe your memory and let the system have you. But I rather chose this..."

Ruby looked down, "couldn't you have given me better childhood memory? You were like the worst father when I was a kid. You were never there. I had to do everything on my own."

Primo held her hand, rubbing it, "well. I wanted to give you the best childhood ever. But I knew something this big would never be kept hidden...so...as screwed up as it might be. I didn't want to screw up even more. I didn't want you to think that I manipulated you into thinking I was a good father. I wanted to be that...earn that."

Ruby held his palm, looking away, "well...ever since we came here. You have been the best father. The coolest...the kindest."

Primo's ear twitched, a smile appeared on his lips, "say that again?"

Ruby stood up, "say what again? I didn't stay anything."

Primo chuckled, "wait, I know there is something else you want to ask?"

Ruby puffed her cheeks, turning back, "mmm, are they...alive?"

"She's alive...I don't think there was he, to begin with."

"Ok."

"Won't ask where?"

Ruby lightly hugged him, "don't need to. As long as I know, it's not that twisted that I am calling the murderer of my parents my father. I don't want to be that cliche."

Primo tapped her head, chuckling, which turned into a burst of laughter, "all right. It's not that. Right, does that mean I am out of house arrest? And we can make this a base?"

Ruby took a deep breath, "ok, this way I can keep an eye on you. And Dad...how many women are you sleeping with?"

Primo awkwardly backed away, "yeah, you should go to bed."

Ruby curled her lip, "get tested for any disease tomorrow and be careful and not make someone pregnant. I don't know what you were before...but you are human now. Women get pregnant."

Primo made a disgusted look, covering her mouth, walking towards the door, "yes, yes, get out. Like right now. You are 13!! For god's sake! Who taught you these things!"

Ruby removed his hand, controlling her laughter, "I have internet."

"Is there parent control on these things? If it hasn't been invented yet, then I am making one tomorrow. God, ew, what are you even watching online?!"

"You want to have the sex talk?" Ruby raised her eyebrow, looking at him with surprise.

Primo took a deep breath, "yeah, your internet rights are being revoked. May...or Bobbi, someone will have the sex talk."

Ryby sadistically grinned, opening her mouth when Primo put his fingers in his ear, "lalalalalala, I can't hear anything."

Ruby curled her lips, leaning forward, kissing his cheek, "goodnight. Dad. Love you."

Primo stopped shouting, removing his fingers from his ears, tilting his head, "I heard that."

Ruby walked away, waving her hand, "no, you didn't!"

"I did!!"

New Earth,

Jay looked out the window with a smile on his face. He turned, watching Emma control the woman, who was the leader of this company, "really? Starting this big. Taking the AIM's Supreme Scientist under your control?"

Emma knelt in front of the woman with olive skin, chin-length short hair, stroking her cheek. She looked at the dazed look in the woman's eyes, "you said to make myself and the mutants indispensable, right?"

"Not like this. This will invite attention."

"I am not like you...I didn't control her...I just showed her. What's in my hide. What I know...what I want to achieve. My vision."

The light appeared in Monica's eyes, a confident smile appeared on her face, "I have created nano-tech that protects those areas of my brain. If she tried to change my memories or mind controls me. Well, she wouldn't be standing."

Jay stood up, glancing towards the street, the cars, people, the lights shining. He looked towards the two women, one standing, the other sitting, "the two of you have plans for me?"

Monica walked over, looking at him in the eyes, "if...you can achieve even a single thing that Miss Emma showed me. You'll have my utmost respect and protection."

Jay opened his mouth, closing it, nodding, "No. I won't be doing that. I am not giving you that much power."

Emma raised her hand, lifting his body in the air, squeezing her fingers, "you said you would do anything!"

Jay shrugged, and his body became free, glancing towards her, "you read my mind when I let you."

He walked over to her, standing face to face with her, staring down at her, "you know how long I have lived. Since the day I was born...I have protected the world from people like her, like you. You think just because something went wrong once, I am going to do shit like this."

He laughed, "you are more naive than I thought. More delusional if you thought that I would just give you that much power. That I would ruin everything over one mistake that wasn't even in my control."

Emma confusedly stared at him, "how did you get out of my power?"

Jay laughed, sitting down on the table, "you mean your telekinesis? What can you do? Bind, push, pull, grip, strike, levitate? Freaking basic. You don't even understand that immense power that could become. Childs play. Even without my powers. I am Jay. I have more titles than the words you have written in your life, each earned. Be clear with who you are dealing with."

He slashed his hand, making a knife with his palm, and the taser wires coming towards him got cut into thousand pieces.

"Aaa!!" Monica took back her hand as the taser gun broke down, and cuts appeared on her palm.

She looked up, only to find his cold scarlet eyes looking at her. For one moment, it overtook her whole being, "stay out of this."

He felt something sneak into his mind; he glanced towards Emma, bringing his palms together.

Emma fell to her knees, holding her head, "you don't even understand how you can invade other's minds. Do you not understand, for telepaths. When they attack, they are the weakest. Empty hand gestures and a trained mind. You can trap that part of their mind and crush them with you. Drawback? Need a stronger mind. Well, I have one."

Emma growled, staring at him, "you said!! You will do anything."

A storm rose around Emma, cracking the floor, but Jay walked through the storm, dodging every single wave coming towards him. He knelt down in front of her, holding her chin, "I will. I will even give you all that power, fulfill your vision. Just bring other people in. The Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and you. Work with the people I know I can trust, and I will give you everything you desire."

"Bullshit! Bringing them in?! And what will we get?! Do you think Mutants would be taken care of? Be important?! Reed Richards and Tony Stark will get all the credit!" Monica scoffed, stepped back towards the table.

Jay shot a look at her, "no, they won't. You will have close ties with the strongest superhero organizations in the world who will protect you because that is who they are. You will have the goodwill of the public. You will have leverage over governments of the world that know that the world is too dangerous. Do you know the problem with this plan? You don't get to be unhinged and rule the world. Goddamn, get over that and see the bigger picture. If you can't, then both of you can go fuck yourself. I'll leave."

He walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
