Chapter 8: A fake Princess

"Shao Nuying will definitely be aiming for the new rookie award. We can't let that happen, can we?" Liu Zemin smirks as he points at Wei Xiaohui, 

 

"That's why you are going to take it away from her." What better way for Wei Xiaohui to take revenge than to beat Shao Nuying at her own game. 

 

"!" Wei Xiaohui didn't expect Liu Zemin to think so ahead. However, her eyes lit up with fire now that she hears about it. 

 

'He's right!' If Shao Nuying took everything away from her, she would ruin her career. Wei Xiaohui was the one who started Shao Nuying's career. So she should be the one to end it.

 

Liu Zemin sat down at the table. He adds, "Also, I'm going to hire a person to teach you how to use a sword." The script the director had taken a liking to was a traditional drama.

 

There will be scenes where Wei Xiaohui would be wielding a sword.

 

"Alright! I got this!" Wei Xiaohui shouts. She was going to do everything she could to win!

 

Lu Zemin claps, "Alright, let's eat now."

...

While Wei Xiaohui and Liu Zemin were happy with the news, over at HOPE,

 

"Dammit! Why is that geezer so strict?!" Shao Nuying throws herself to the couch. The sweet and pure expression was nowhere to be found. The only thing there was a dirty and smug look left.

 

After Wei Xiaohui left the company, Zhou Liqin told everybody that she's the new lady boss of HOPE.

 

The worker was surprised by the change of the lady boss. However, they couldn't do a thing about it. The workers and board members treated Shao Nuying with respect.

 

She was a princess.

 

However, that wasn't the case on set. When Shao Nuying arrived there, the director had scolded her for being late.

 

What made it worse was when the director told Shao Nuying to retake scenes. Shao Nuying got angry, causing her to argue with him.

 

This scene has been occurring so much that the others on set are unfazed by it.

 

Today was a day where Shao Nuying had enough! She exploded and left the set in rage!

 

'Why couldn't Liqin do something?!' Shao Nuying had gone to Zhou Liqin, asking him to do something about the director. 

 

After Shao Nuying had gotten the main female lead in the new series, Zhou Liqin started investing in the series. That's why Shao Nuying could talk back to the director.

 

Zhou Liqin gave her a wry smile. Even if he was one of the largest investors, the other wouldn't agree. He even told her,

 

"Don't cause any trouble with the director." Thinking about it now, Shao Nuying went into a fit of rage! She threw her water bottle across the room!

 

The manager who was with her shudders in fear.' How could she be our new lady boss?!' She was formerly Wei Xiaohui's manager. But she was then appointed to be Shao Nuyings now. 

 

Seeing how Shao Nuying was acting, the manager couldn't help but shake her head. The difference was so much. 

 

Wei Xiaohui would be kind to everybody. Whenever there was a problem, she would try her best to adapt to the situation. Never did she put weight onto her coworkers despite their insistences.

 

While Shao Nuying is the complete opposite. Everybody is in her world. Everything will go her way, or it's the highway. She would order the workers around, making them bear the burden.

 

"Hey! What's-your-name! Stop standing there and get me another bottle of water!" Shao Nuying shouts at the manager like a servant. 

 

The manager nodded and quickly left the room. Outside the room, she couldn't help but curse!

 

'How does she not know my name?!' She couldn't believe Shao Nuying would just call her like an object.

 

Even if she goes and complains to Zhou Liqin or the upper management, they wouldn't do a thing. Her status was just that high. She wanted to speak up about what happened to Wei Xiaohui, but Zhou Liqin shut her up, threatening her. 

 

He was keeping everybody that knows suppressed.

 

The only thing she could do now is to shut her mouth. As the manager went to get water, Shao Nuying looked at her phone. 

 

Somebody texted her.

 

Can you come over?

 

Shao Nuying smiles and texts back,

 

I'll be there in a few minutes <3

 

The manager came back with a bottle of water. However, Shao Nuying ignores her and leaves the building. Even when the manager was asking her where she was going, she just ignored her.
