A short time after Roxanne had taken Roy away, somebody arrived to the scene.

“Neo, you’ve disappointed me”[???]

“FATHER NO! DON’T SAY THAT! I-I-I tried to but-.... Sh-They refused to cooperate!”[Neo]

“Stop talking. I am taking you back to do some more research. We cannot allow for our president to be powerless any longer. Let’s go”[Neo’s Father]

Neo quietly followed after him.

Roxanne managed to get Roy out of the forest and was on her way back home somehow, she was extremely tired however.

Upon nearing their house, Roxanne spotted their mother opening the door while carrying some groceries.

Roxanne had been carrying Roy with the help of her shadows but that was still quite a distance. She was nearing her limit.

She fell on the ground with a thud and so did Roy who was totally knocked out.

Their mom heard this and looked back. Worry written all over her face as she quickly dropped her bags to check the condition of her children.

“Roxanne! Roy! Are you both ok!”[Rose]

She grabbed Roxanne and checked if she was still alright. Other than Roxanne seeming pale and fatigued, she should be able to quickly recover. Roy on the other hand, seemed totally out of it. His heart beat slowly and his breathing was sparse, she brought out her phone and called for help from the hospital.

It seems she didn’t know what else to do as she hesitated on whether she should move them or not.

She sat down on the ground and put both of them to lean against her as she awaited for an ambulance to pick them up. It didn’t take long for help to arrive.

*Knock Knock*

“Come in”[President]

“Mr. President, I’ve come with the report on the state of the current plans.”[Secretary]

“Very well, hurry it up. I am sure you know I have a meeting later.”[President]

“Ah… yes! First I’ll report on the situation regarding the recruitment of more government troops. It seems to be going well amongst the youths, we managed to recruit more than 100 new agents with a decent level of loyalty...”[Secretary]

The secretary paused to think about how to deliver the next piece of information.

“Very good, why the pause?”[President]

“Well… most of the retired agents seem to be against joining us. We have an especially problematic situation when it comes to Silvia Harmony who used to work as an assassin. She seems to be working at a radio station spreading prohibited information. In consideration for you, we have yet to deal with the issue. As such we require your instruction.”[Secretary]

“Mmm…” He started to contemplate his choices,”Give her an ultimatum, it seems she didn’t take the previous threats seriously. If she still refuses to cooperate eliminate her on the spot.” He stopped to think once more,”How about you send someone she knows to bring her over to our side again.”[President]

Secretary was slightly startled by his cold approach when dealing with an old friend.

“Will do Mr. President. What about the other retired agents?”[Secretary]

“Is there anyone particularly noteworthy or of value to me?”[President]

“The ones who were valuable already sided with us. Should we silence the rest?”[Secretary]

“If that is the case I don’t see why not.”[President]

“In terms of the empowerment plans… Unfortunately the catalyst escaped. It seems the professor's men couldn’t get the job done.”[Secretary]

“That is troublesome… Did you hear back from the professor?”[President]

“He says he will take care of the issue and punish those involved accordingly.”[Secretary]

“In that case I have nothing to say to him. If that is all I’d like to continue with the rest of my work.” He grabbed his pen and started signing documents,”Bring me something to drink”[President]

“Of course Mr. President, I will relay your orders before getting you the beverage so I apologise in advance for the delay”[Secretary]

“Yes whatever” He was making a shoo-ing motion with his left hand while reading some files,”You may leave”[President]

The secretary made her way out of the office and went to relay the president’s orders.

“Silvia huh… Maybe I was too decisive in the past…”[President]

‘Why does everything hurt? I am sore all over!’

Roy groggily sat up. It was a familiar environment.

‘This room again huh?’

He was once more inside of a hospital room. The room was dark as the curtains were closed to let him rest.

‘You sure know how to scare someone. I thought I’d die a second time you know?’

‘Wait… I don’t remember what happened after I unleashed the wind…’

‘After you were knocked out we also lost our vision to the outside. I can’t tell you much. Oh! But your soul nearly shattered, I am surprised it survived that honestly. Any average person would have lost their minds after fracturing it in so many places. Not to mention what we did was hardly a fix.’

‘We?’

‘That wind power guy, he formed a contract with you before. Not much of a talker though. It seems he has been strengthening his soul inside of you the whole time.’

‘Wind turbine!?! Ah wait never mind that! I almost died again!’

‘Wow I am surprised, for some reason you seem very attached to that guy. I thought you’d look over the fact that your soul looks like a collage with all those cracks. No wait… is there a better comparison?’

‘How do I fix it?’

Before Dr. Franco could answer that question, not that he could, a nurse entered the room. Upon seeing Roy was awake, she made her way to the window and opened the curtains a bit.

“You are awake, I came to check out your condition. Are you hungry?”[Nurse]

“Ah, yes actually I am a bit hungry. Stomach feels empty.”[Roy]

“Very good. Your mother recently left to eat something with your sister, I’ll call them here.”[Nurse]

Roy’s mind blanked for a second. How will he deal with Roxanne and his mom. He couldn't think of any logical explanation.

‘Ah… I am screwed…’

Roy was contemplating how to get out of this predicament.

Oh! He uploaded next week too! Gasp! That's mighty rude of me to think, because no one that stuck this far will complain seeing as though they are such good people. I start finals next week so let's see how long it takes for me to upload a new chapter next time.

This series already has nearly one hundred pages which is quite the surprise for me. Probably the most I've written for a single thing. I want to thank those who made it this far, you get nothing as a reward. With so many pages the first volume? arc? season? ummm... let's go with volume since this is technically a book, is nearly over! I am excited to see how the author ends this story! no wait I have to come up with that... They say planning ahead is a smart thing to do, I believe it.

The upload schedule should be the same and I have no hiatus planned so do not worry. Then again it depends on how the final chapter will be received. All joking aside thank you one reader for getting here!

To clarify in case someone is confused the next chapter is not the last one. Also I believe Scribblehub shows that this series has more than 100 pages but my google doc says otherwise.
