Heyo~

This chapter is a lot of world building but explains where you can expect the story to possibly go in the future. Is it skippable? Probably, but it was fun to write it so hopefully fun to read it. On the other hand if you want to read ahead…

Anyways, enjoy~♥

The warm sun slowly filtered into the Oni princess’ room thus on top of herself.

Her brow wrinkled as she twisted and turned gently on her pillow causing Ashue (who’s thighs were being used as pillow) to gently stroke her Ojou-sama’s violet hair. A soft grin was on her face while gazing gently over towards the bottom of the bed where her partner was also being made use of. Unlike her though Violet used Slate’s abs as a footrest while hidden under her ploofy quilt. Slate had to bite her lip softly to quell a squeal  as Violet ended up slamming her heel down with quite some force; she managed though.

Little Qin was the one who had been left to guard during the night so she got to watch on as her boss’ were used as something slightly better than furniture by her Ojou-sama. With how her Ojou-sama had been she was a tad surprised it ended with that though; perhaps the busy day followed by a party tuckered her out? She wasn’t sure what happened since she herself was only a lowly servant who wouldn’t be invited to the party of upper echelons… But everyone heard the excitement involved in that party.

There were even some reports she’d received that vampires had begun to appear during night to attack the sects right where it hurt as soon as they heard the roar! It showed how beautifully respected Oni were from their ‘descendent races’ if even the prideful vampires had gotten off their creaky thrones and out their dusty coffins just to pay their respect. These were mostly just messages from her communication Jade so they weren’t the full reports (couldn’t have any noise while their Ojou-sama was sleeping). Most wonderfully, all this was caused by her very own Ojou-sama.

Although, as part of a race that just loved to quickly run very far, she wasn’t as excited about the outbreak of war. Then again you don’t work for the {Asura Yakuza} without bathing a village or two in blood so she knew how to have some fun. She herself was rather excited since her and the servants were partying on the topic of coming war.

They were servants so they were hardly in the know and shadow guards like herself couldn’t exactly share intimate details about their masters. Despite this a certain rumour kept popping up that made everyones blood boil - looking over the tuckered out Violet she couldn’t help but feel the same excitement as them. The rumour was simple but had huge implications that made the members of {Asura Yakuza} as well as the other top families who were on the ‘in’ very excited about the possibility…

The executives - specifically their legendary female elders - were going to make a move on the front lines!

What did that mean?

It meant they were presenting themselves to the wider world once again as the mighty {Little Hannya Family} ruling over not only the {Asura Yakuza} but the whole of organised crime! No doubt they would even go into secretive underground competition with Munzumira and her crime syndicate - {Insight}. It will be just like they’ve waited for since going dark to vanish from the world!

And, at the forefront of these rumours, was that their newest Ojou-sama was going to lead the charge against the enemies. Going even further as she leaves in a couple years to present herself as the face of their {Little Hannya Family}; letting the entire world know she’s their next leader. Going even further by attending school publicly and attending the upcoming {Divine Invitational Continental Competition} to show the entire world how amazing they still are!

Little Qin heavily doubted Violet would do it for anything except her own amusement yet she certainly could see her competing in {DICC}. If just for the fact she got to beat up some cocky kids and be rewarded for it.

{DICC} was your usual intercontinental competition between different academies. There were many different facets as it was something set up by the {Mercenary Union} which was secretly run by the [Radiant Lions] but there had also been rumours that the [Water Dragons] were involved. Obviously the noble [Imperial Phoenix Family] as well as their loyal [Three Footed Golden Crow] as they were the forerunners of uplifting the {Mortal Realm}… Oh also there was the previously mentioned {Insight} & {Asura Yakuza} involved.

The first round was to discover the top 10 academies in the continent on various matters such as alchemy, artefact crafting, arrays and obviously combat. There used to be only one academy per-continent but they ran into an awkward situation due to the Phoenix's themselves.

The Phoenix & their servants are known for their countless academies. If an {Imperial Phoenix Academy} branch isn’t on your continent you are either on the west side or currently doesn’t exist… Or hasn’t yet reached a level to communicate with the outside world. Even then they may exist because they are just that integral to many. This led to an interesting problem when it came to the {DICC} and put simply; it turned into a competition between different branches of {Imperial Phoenix academy}.

They had a system where all knowledge was archived together no matter which academy it was discovered in - from there it could easily be requested by any other academy. Thus information was easily accessible while secure because you’d need to be some sort of slippery angelic snake to steal anything from the Phoenix who lived in {Heavenly Realm}. This wasn’t as simple as ‘they were really good people’ but more it made it so every single academy had access to top level techniques if the students put in the work to unlock them.

This wasn’t even talking about the fact they had just the greatest teaching staff available - really good HR as well.

I mean like, wow, they had some really great scholarships!

But this led to many of the original {DICC}’s just being filled by countless branches of the {Phoenix Imperial Academy} which was awkward since they already had an internal competition to select their own best students & academies. As such the {Imperial Phoenix Family} itself requested to up the numbers… Though one spot is always designated for themselves basically.

The second round is just like the first but in a tournament with completely random competitors/teams put against one another till the top 100 or so is chosen.

The last stage then takes place in one of many possibly {Holy Lands} and is chosen by the managers of the event but how the management actually is decided is mostly unknown. Only the most powerful forces are chosen to help manage the entire thing. According to Ashue, who is not just dumb but bad at lying, Matriarch Ebony has already attended many such meetings as did the other former matriarchs.

Thinking how Ebony would be able to plan the ultimate stage for which her daughter would rock the world if their silly theories were right… It was so exciting!

As if sensing her servants' excitement Violet’s eyes shot open and slowly turned to gaze towards Qin; feeling the child's gaze the shadow guard leapt up in surprise. Violet didn’t say anything though but instead lifted up her foot before slamming it down causing poor slate to let out a grunt. After doing that she punched upwards to catch Ashue’s chest causing her to gasp before she finally got herself out of bed. She walked up to her closet while looking at Qin with a tilted head as if questioning her.

The greyhound-kin cleared her throat while falling to one knee with her arms crossed behind her back. A proper posture for a shadow guard to take when making a report to their charge.

“Although it would indeed be time for you to wake up if this was a normal day, however, from what I know from other servants they are still all out cold in the meeting hall from last night. It seemed there was an after party. Then another… Then 5 more. We believe they won’t be up for awhile and even if they are they will be fighting for at least a couple of hours while they work out their hangover so the area is considered a black zone. No approach is allowed until orders otherwise.

They have already provided pills & water for when they finally stop fighting or somehow manage to peacefully settle their headache… Well that’s unlikely. Because of this, until Onyx-Hime arrives, you are in complete control of the entirety of our local forces.” <Qin>

Violet just nodded softly as she began to slowly dress herself as her two assistants were recovering from their Ojou-sama’s violent streak. From the room she also took an all too familiar bamboo hat which she placed atop her head - the veil perfectly hiding her face. Seeing this Qin couldn’t help but get giddy.

“Prepare Shadow Guard. Get the few elders who aren’t hungover and get them to bring hats as well as own men. War starts now.” <Violet>

The dog was excitedly fidgeting with a big grin and a wagging tail behind herself; she didn’t need telling twice as she jumped back from her position to seemingly vanish. Violet didn’t really pay attention to that though as she made sure she was dressed properly before walking up to get some breakfast for herself and her servants. She wasn’t a demon… Well she wasn’t evil?
