As soon as I said that, all the passengers in the train turned to look at me. Some had a look of surprise, some looked embarrassed, and some looked like they were trying to suppress their laughter.

I could feel my face getting a bit hotter as I hurriedly sat down and tried my best to keep calm. Though, a tinge of red on my cheek would give myself away anyway.

I couldn’t suppress the urge to clear my throat. It cleared off all the awkwardness and made me a bit calmer.

Then a familiar *Ding!* suddenly rang out. I opened my eyes, and in front of me was the system screen.

[MISSION SUCCESS!]

[Congratulations! You have received fire magic-affinity.]

A smile crept on my face as I looked at the screen, thinking, ‘Cool.’

I then went back to the menu screen and clicked on Status.

[STATUS]

[Name: Noel]

[Age: 16]

[Gender: male]

[Power Level: 16 (a weakling cannon-fodder)]

[Affinity: Fire]

The word ‘Fire’ was now in the Affinity as I expected. Though, that didn’t change the fact that my Power Level was still the same, and I was still a mere weakling cannon-fodder.

I couldn’t help but wonder how this all worked. Would there be any explanation if I clicked on them? It wouldn’t hurt to try, right?

So I clicked on [Affinity: Fire], hoping something would pop up. And to my surprise, something really did pop up!

[AFFINITY]

[Everyone in this world has different affinities. It is decided from birth, so you cannot change your affinity unless you succumb to the taboo means. Each affinity will enable you to have access to different skills, but you cannot practice any skill without having the right affinity.]

I read the explanation and couldn’t help but think that I was such an idiot. Things would have been a lot easier if I were to figure out the system’s explanation sooner.

I just laughed it off and shook my head.

Didn’t wait any longer, I quickly went through all the explanations of the functions in the system. Here’s what I found.

[POWER LEVEL]

[The number that indicates how strong you are. Individuals with higher Power Levels will be much stronger, much faster, and more intelligent than those who have lower Power Level. However, some individuals with lower power level can have the advantage over those with higher Power Level by using skills.]

I read the explanations and nodded to myself.

‘I see. So there’s no RPG stats in this world. The strength is measured by the Power Level, huh? Cool, that makes things much simpler,’ I thought.

I smiled and went to the Skill section next.

[ACTIVE: FLEE]

[Increase the user’s speed by 40% upon activation. Having a 30 minutes cooldown.]

[PASSIVE: NATURAL SEDUCER]

[The user has cultivated the art of seduction to a profound level! Every time you talk to girls, you will be able to seduce her with ease! Go get her, tiger!]

My eyes widened after reading the explanations. The Active Skill: Flee was nothing I didn’t already expect. It would increase the chances of me getting out of danger.

But—the Passive Skill: Natural Seducer…..

I started to wonder what the original Noel did in the past to have such a godly skill.

Was he a player..?

Well…whatever he was in the past didn’t really matter. I was now Noel, with the same body and the same skills.

Though, I didn’t have the same memories, but whatever… I sure hoped to at least not run into his enemy if he ever had one.

Although it was unlikely for him to be one of those young masters in Xianxia novels, that didn’t make it less likely for him to have some enemy. Especially if he was a player. He sure as hell would raise a lot of jealousy from other men.

I shook my head to clear off these thoughts.

There was no use thinking about it now. All I could do right now was getting stronger, so even if I were to run into some of Noel's enemies, I could handle it.

Thinking so, I smiled and looked at the explanations on the screen again.

I couldn’t help but chuckle. This skill was very interesting. There sure to be something fun happening in the future, that’s for damn sure.

My smile deepened by that thought.

Suddenly, I could feel the train slowing down as the female-voice rang out from the speaker.

“Vodia City. Please mind the gap between train and platform,” the voice said.

I sat up straight, patted my clothes, and readied myself to get out. The excitement in my heart that had already calmed down began to grow again.

I mean, who wouldn’t be excited when you know that you’re about to see another world’s city. I couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear as I felt my heart beating so fast in my chest.

I might have looked like a country bumpkin right now, but I didn’t care. This was a dream-like moment for an otaku like me.

After a while, the train finally came to a stop, and the door slid open. The passengers on the seats all stood up and walked toward the door, and so did I.

After walking through the door, the first thing I noticed was how clean the platform was. It looked just like any platform on modern earth, but there was also some technology that I’d never seen before.

Then, my sight met with the security guard, and my eyes widened in surprise!

The security guard wasn’t your regular security guard. Heck, it wasn’t even a human! Rather, it was a giant robot!

That’s right, the security guard was a giant robot, standing at around 2 meters in height. Its body was made purely from metal. It kinda reminded me of Alphonse Elric from the Fullmetal Alchemist.

There was also a blade handle strapped on its waist, though, no blade connected to that handle.

I wondered why…

Then, a sudden realization hit me, making my eyes go wide open!

‘No way! That couldn’t possibly be a light saber, could it!?’ I thought in astonishment as I kept staring at the giant metal robot.

Some passersby looked at me dubiously, possibly wondering why I was staring at the security guard, then they just kept walking, minding their own business.

I kept staring at the security guard for a while until I heard a voice.

“Hey, cutie pie~ I heard what you said just now in the train and became really excited~ So—wanna go get some~?”

I shuddered at the voice I just heard. Somehow, the tone of voice and the way it was spoken sounded so familiar to me….

N-No… It couldn’t be right?

With a rigid movement, I turned around and faced my horror….
