“-so that should be all the information you need for the task I’m giving you; do you have any following questions, Midas?” <Akaibu>
“Hmm, know, that sshould be more than enough to deal with ssome beasstss~.” <Midas>
After Midas had agreed to accept the job from Akaibu through some ‘convincing’ she had begun telling the snake the minimal information. One would question which god ever needed to bribe their own archangel into doing their job yet the multi-headed dragon could only suck it up since it was their choice to take the risk on “Mei Dias”. Sure enough; it was difficult to make a selfish snake actually do charity.
Seeing that they were done there Midas had begun to walk away as she obviously intended to take full advantage of the fact she could create her own pearly gates. Through that method she could essentially drop down into any spot in the ‘realms below’ the {Heavenly Realm} yet that wasn’t as vast as one would assume. While the {Demon Realm} could reach across every realm that was due to it constantly being maintained while the realm they were in had a long period of being abandoned leading to it not being as vast… Though due to the two being physically connected it was technically possible for those in the {Heavenly Realm} to take advantage of the vastness of the {Demon Realm} to get anywhere.
That was if they could get in & out of the home of all demons alive that is; something the battle hungry demons wouldn’t mind letting anyone try.
Due to her location being within the {Genesis - Mortal Realm} that simply wasn’t something she needed to concern herself with. Still she couldn’t help having her eyes wander across the massive black skeleton connecting the two realms in the distance - her eyes narrowing with seemingly having a bit of deja vu. She merely shook her head without any more action with the full intention to continue walking away.
<If it is truly important I will remember it when the time is right ohohoho~!>
There was one person who wasn’t as laid back as Midas though as she watched all this go down she couldn’t help frown while readjusting her glasses.
“Why are you keeping everything so hidden even from yourself?” <Akaibu>
Hearing the goddess’ words gave Midas pause for a moment as they froze in place while seemingly debating where to answer or walk away. Fortunately it seemed that their disrespect for their ‘superior’ wasn’t so extreme that she could just do that - turning to look at Akaibu with the same sultry smile as always. There was a dangerous glint in her aqua blue eyes that she narrowed till the blue only became an ominous gleam.
“While it certainly makess thingss quite muddled it iss better than letting my enemiess in on the true depthss of my sschemess shashasha~!” <Midas>
“Surely that wouldn’t be a worry when you finish merging?” <Akaibu>
“Shashasha~ thiss body iss far from perfect and I cannot accept any lesss~!” <Midas>
“I think you’ve gone straight past careful and straight to paranoid; there shouldn’t be any other enemies out there except for Munzumira so you don’t need to get everything perfect.” <Akaibu>
Midas didn’t respond to the insult though and instead continued the process of walking away with one hand behind her back. The other meanwhile tapped her temple as she looked at the obviously befuddled goddess - another gate opening in front of Midas’ path. Just as she turned away from the Akaibu the gate was fully open with her crossing through it where they would promptly close once more.
“Strange…” <Akaibu>

It was a day before the wedding between Lord Aqua Liger & Lord Cobra were to be wedded yet not every power in the desert intended to attend the wedding.
In fact it could probably be said that the most powerful factions within the {Central Cities} had little interest in the mess which was human culture. Afterall, those powerful clans were not filled with human members but beasts, most of them having eaten their fair share of humans over the long years of their evil acts. These powerful beast clans were often just referred to as the {Desert Beast Clans} though that was sometimes even prefixed with an ‘evil’.
Although there were obviously many reasons why the {Golden Dust Desert Continent} was considered one of the most harsh environments in the world - that wasn’t all. These beast clans had long taken advantage of their natural adaptations to desert life to take ‘advantage’ over humans to ensure they remained in power. This came in many forms such as treating the cities as ‘meat farms’ where they develop various methods to essentially ‘steal’ the talents from the humans that they devour gruesomely; hence why they are considered evil beasts.
Often people theorise that if it weren’t for those beast clans the {Golden Dust Continent} could have caught up to the core continents that the {Four Cardinal Empires} were based. After all they weren’t lacking in qi - even if that qi tended to be far higher aligned to various yang elements - plus they had more resources than maybe the core continents. They would have been mostly cultivators of sand/earth, sun/fire & poisons/venom like they currently were but at least they would actually be of a decent level unlike current.
As mentioned many a time; even wild wandering beasts tended to be a higher level than the cultivators let alone those of clans or ‘beast lords’ with their own territories.
Outside of the {Earth Lion City} were one of these many beast clans who had laid claim to the desert through their evil acts that abandoned the {Heavens}. These were almost like a smaller slimmer variant of the {Desert Hounds} who yet compared to the wild beast they obviously focused far more on pack behaviour. Their hair was obviously the same as the sand however they also were able to achieve a humanoid form at foundation formation due to their individual power lacking somewhat.
Due to this many of them looked more like tiny wolf-kin as they were guarding their temporary camp or setting up some evil formation around the city. Another thing of note was a large snaggletooth each possessed among their somewhat otherwise time fangs; a strong reason for their name of {Snaggletooth Dust Coyote}. Although they were physically weak they had the impressive ability to summon a dust storm using their pack-combat formation allowing them to more easily take down prey from unexpected angels or escape from predators. Some rumours even say that higher-realmed {Snaggletooth Dust Coyote} could turn into dust to fully vanish into the dust cloud that their pack creates.
These were even stranger variants as the stronger members even had a black-ink-like circle drawn with a single ‘brush stroke’ upon their forehead. This obviously wasn’t actually drawn by themselves but a symbol that marked them as beings ‘blessed’ by the {Munzumira - The Evil God Empress}. Although it made them somewhat easy to recognise these evil cultivator followers it also marked them as beings with usual abilities that were impossible to predict.
Obviously their abilities were related to the omnipotent spirit abyss yet that was essentially pointless to know due to Munzumira herself having many different powers. She had her hand in everything from martial arts to spacial magic; one thing was often similar between all of those different blessed evil cultivators though. All of them consumed gluttonously in order to advance their cultivation powers at an even greater rate than other evil cultivators.
A female spirit elder ranked beast led a meeting between many {Evil Snaggletooth Dust Coyote} with quite a few being blessed including the leader himself.
“How are we with the city leader?” <Elder Coyote>
She spoke with a voice far less cute than her rather fluffy & small appearance led her to appear at first; being gruff and gravely like that of a gnarled old crone. Hearing that elder speak made even the other coyotes shiver with fear yet that was more due to the evil aura of death that exudes from her naturally. They weren’t surprised by her voice though as most of them were elders of their clan (branches or not) themselves thus had been just as badly affected by their foul actions.
“He has indeed left for that wedding thus it is the perfect chance to strike!” <Coyote 1>
“Why are we even hiding out here instead of just ambushing them at that party of theirs to suck up their souls for the {Abyss}!” <Coyote 2>
The strongest among them snorted, causing the other coyotes to quickly become silent as they didn’t even dare to interrupt the woman.
“Do you dare mess with a game that the Demon God Empress is playing, because I and the other core elders don’t, thus we’ll focus our efforts on weakening the humans! Even if we cannot stop the {Aqua Liger} from combining with {Purple Cobra} we can instead weaken them by taking out their other ally while they’re undefended! Now tell me, how close along we are with finishing my [Evil Soul Stealing Gem Formation]?” <Elder Coyote>
“We’ve never needed to make the formation this big or even in the field like this before so I can’t say for sure but from the last report w-” <Coyote 3>
“Stop right there woman!” <Coyote Guard>
That yell got their attention as they all turned to look towards the guard as they were just sitting around a table on top of a carpet laid across the sand. Thanks to that they could easily talk while at the same time not needing to bother setting up any structures as that would be a waste of time and make them easier to catch in the act. Due to that they all managed to notice the very voluptuous, toffee-skinned, woman walking towards them.
At first they were terrified she may be an oni as they couldn’t sense any qi around or in her which was an obvious sign you were dealing with one of them. It made sense there would be an oni roaming around considering their ‘little’ princess was making quite the ruckus in another city allied to the one they were plotting against. They quickly calmed down upon seeing that she had no horns on her forehead nor blood around her eyes (though she did seem to have electric blue makeup on her face).
With that she must have just been a really weak human or something since there were no signs of her being a beast; how could they not deal with a human?
It was within the second they regained their confidence when she reached into her plentiful bosom before expertly throwing a knife towards the guard. Without even being able to react the guard was hit right in the neck causing him to sputter blood before dropping to the floor enraging the spirit elder. Even if she didn’t care about some random dying, that bitch dared kill one of her race right in front of her with no hesitation.
“What the hell do you think you're doing!” <Elder Coyote>
In response that woman just gave a sultry smile making them all feel a shiver go down their spines as well as a warmth in their pants.
“You are right, it iss quite rude of me to usse weaponss on little thingss like you, how about I sshow you the difference between uss and fight you all without ussing my armss?” <Midas>
Seemingly mocking them as she indeed crossed her arms behind her back.
