About 4 years into the time skip.
"You're surprisingly obedient."
[Where's this coming from?]
"Well its just that I thought you'd jump to some other host the moment you got the opportunity. I'm not going on genocidal rampages like you'd want and you can't force my body to do so. Aren't you dissatisfied?"
[...You know why I wanted to kill everything right?]
"Of course, You want to become the ultimate existence by gaining the power to kill anything and everything."
[Yeah, well I'm not sure I even am an existence right now.]
"Is it because you are a copy?"
[Mmn]
"..."
[The moment I formed a connection with you, I realized how fake everything around me was. I felt like at any moment the universe could snap its fingers and I'd vanish in a puff of smoke, never to be seen again. To prevent that, I think my only option is to cling onto something thats real. You are that thing.]
"Surely everyone else here is real as well, so I still don't get why you stick to me."
[...no, I don't agree with that. I don't really get why, but I can still feel it. Like the world is just an illusion.]
"..."
[Don't make that face. This world definitely feels different from one of Karakata's. I just think it still has that fake quality.]
"I-I see... What about Sky then? She's also a reincarnator."
[Well she is definitely real like you and she reminds me of my old host which is a plus, but I think she'd definitely reject me. There's no point in really trying to jump to her.]
"So I'm the only real host available."
[Yeah, however even if another real host popped up, I don't think I'd switch and go on a rampage at this point. I realize now that I was kinda dumb for trying to kill everything immediately. Its better to go slowly and let life reproduce so that there is always more power to get.]
I take a moment and look up into the night sky. The full moon is surrounded by twinkling stars, a sight that had become rare in my old world. The moon's pale light gives the surrounding nature a beautiful shimmer. Its a quiet, peaceful moment.

"Hey I don't know if this helps at all, but in my old world there was an idea that went 'I think, therefore I am'. To put it in simple terms, it meant that the act of thinking is the proof of your existence."
[...I think I like that idea a lot.]
"Im glad to hear it. Let's head back now. If Mi'ara found out I snuck out in the middle of the night to kill monsters again, I'd get an earful."
[Yeah, I think that might be a good idea.]
