sorry for the late upload, stuff got in the way before uploading the chap, anyways, enjoy another 1600+ words.

The day after the announcement that Haruda is going to be the next village chief, was time for me to go on my ways.

In the morning I met up with Bernard and Haruda.

“Well, it’s time for me to go on my ways further, it was fun being here, I was not bored.” I said my goodbye to Bernard.

“Okay hop on, since we have business in the city, we will drop you off there.” Haruda spoke.

“Okay, okay, new chief of the village.” I made fun of him for a little bit.

“Please stop that I’m still not used to being called like that by people.” He answered a bit unsteady.

“Then get over it, because you will be talking to the Demon lord in the near future, remember that.” I told him.

“What? But there is, no new Demon lords announced though?” he asked.

“You stupid, I will become the next one.” I told him.

“Well, if the time comes, I will be doomed then.” He spoke in an exhausted voice.

“Haha, then good luck in the future. Okay let’s start going now, I need to go to the city.” I quickly said whilst getting in the carriage.

Yes, you heard that right, a carriage, I thought this was supposed to be an alternate earth, but this village reminds me of the medieval times in earth. Well, no use in bothering yourself about it.

“Okay, let’s get going then.”  He told me.

And we started going after loading up those thirty-six wolves, and then after some bargaining, I took fifteen of the wolves to myself since I made the plan. Then we arrived at the city, meh it was your normal everyday medieval looking city, nothing much, so I asked Haruda.

“Is there an adventurer guild or something like that? And if there is, to register do you need to pay for registration?”

“Hmm… There is a guild for adventurers because that’s where we sell our materials we have left over from hunting, and there is no registration fee, but that is the only guild that will let you register for free, since it has a very good rating from lots of famous adventurers, they became popular so now there is no registration fee. Don’t know about the demon guilds though. Why do you ask though?” he told me this useful information.

“Well, because I’m going to register as an adventurer of course.” I told him, plus I don’t know any easier jobs to earn money whilst having fun.

“Ah, is there an orphanage in the city?” I had to ask him this, because that will be where I stay.

“Yes, there is one, we will bring you there once we finish up.” he told me.

“Also, can I request something to be made out of the fur of these wolves?” I asked again.

“Yes, if you pay for the work, then yes it’s possible. What do you want though?” he asked me back.

“Nothing much just a cloak made from the fur of these wolves. Also tell me how much does one wolf cost.” I commanded him.

“Okay, one wolf intact sells for about 50pec with 65dem depending on the demand, the lowest price can be 35 pec with 50dem.” He told me, so, I did some math. If I sell nine wolves for the lowest price, I would get around 319pec and 50dem, now with the normal price I would get, 455pec and 85dem. (This was done with my “excellent” math skills. (Otherwise known as my calculator))

“Okay, then can you sell nine of my wolves for the normal price and the rest will be for the cloak.” I asked Haruda.

“Yeah sure, I can do that but the cost for the cloak is going to be yours.” He told me that.

“Yeah, I know, so that is why I’m going to register to the guild first then do the selling.”

“Well, then towards the guild we go.” He spoke.

And we arrived to the guild, Haruda went with me to register. Since I was taller than him it looked really awkward, because Haruda was short he was maybe 165 centimeters and I was around 175 centimeters now. So, you can imagine the difference in our height.

Anyways, we went over to the counter, and the receptionist spoke.

“Welcome to the guild “Antalia” how I may help you.”

“I came over here to register, as an adventurer.” I told her.

“Do you have your parents notice or anything of the sort?” she asked.

“No, I’m an orphan so I don’t have one.” I told her.

“I’m sorry to hear that, here is the form please fill it out.” She told me.

“I can’t read and write.” I told her.

“Please tell me your name then.” She asked me.

“Rosette” I answered with a fake name again of course.

“Age”

“Fifteen years old.”

“Weapons you use.”

“Swords, bows, daggers and some hand-to-hand combat.”

“Do you have any mana?”

“Yes.” As I answered that I saw her eyes widen a bit.

“And lastly your occupation?”

“Swordsman.”

“Okay and you are set, please come here tomorrow to collect your guild card.”

“Okay.” I answered her.

After I registered, we went towards the place where I can sell the wolves.

The place was really big, as we went in Haruda went to say hello to one of his friends who work here.

“So, yeah, we basically want to sell you nine wolves for the best price for our savior, because if not her our village would’ve been taken over by now.” He told one guy.

“So, you say that this little girl devised the plan to kill all those wolves?” his friend asked looking at me.

“Yes, and she killed at least six of them herself during the battle.” Haruda told him my achievements.

“Wow, you really are something, my name is Kurobara, thank you for saving this fools village.” Kurobara thanked me. (Yes, I know, a very creative name.)

“Well, I didn’t come here for thanks I want to sell nine wolves and to use the other six for a coat for me. Can you do that?” I asked him.

“Yeah, for the best possible price looking at these wolves you would get around, 60pec for one wolf I can take at best, so you would get…” he said.

“540pec for nine wolves.” I finished.

“Yeah, 540pec for nine wolves, you really are good at math, huh.” He spoke. (I wish I was…)

“Okay, anyways, how much for my cloak?” I asked.

“It will be, 140pec for your cloak, if you pay now, you can get it back tomorrow.” He told me.

“Okay, I will come tomorrow for my cloak here.” I said as I took my money for the wolves then paid for the cloak, leaving me with 400pec in my pocket, I think if the prices are what I think they are, then I should be able to last for a while. I thought.

After Haruda and his group finished selling their wolves, he took me to the orphanage that was not so far from the guild. As we came in, we saw that the receptionist was missing from the post. So Haruda shouted.

“Amnestia where are you!?”

As usual I had to guard my ears. And after a minute or two she came in.

“I’m sorry Haruda, the kids needed a little more attention than usual so I had to help.” She spoke to him. Then she turned to me. “Oh, why are you here? Do you want to take one of these kids home?” Came into the room a long-haired brunette woman that had two braids on each side and she spoke to me.

“Hell no, I’m still fifteen, I came here so that I could stay here until I’m eighteen.” I told her.

“Wow you certainly don’t look fifteen years old, so why are you going to join us?” she asked me again.

“I told you that I have nowhere to stay, so I’m asking to stay here, I won’t get in the way of the orphanage as I’m going to do adventuring, during my stay here.” I told her.

“Oh, an adventurer, then could you help us out in the meantime then? Because we really lack funds, during these past ten years, lots of parents died without leaving their children to anyone. So, orphan numbers really shot up.” she asked me.

“Okay, if I can do it, I will help, but don’t expect me to always bring back lots of money, because I just registered.” I told her.

“It’s okay, a starting adventurer is still better than no one to help us.” She spoke really fast.

“Welcome aboard then.” She welcomed me.

“Well, then if you are done, I have to go back to my village.” Haruda said.

“Yeah, yeah, go back they really miss their new chief.” I teased him about it one last time.

“Oh, stop it.” he talked still being unsteady.

“What!? Haruda is the new chief of the village!?” Amnestia shouted.

“Congratulations!” she jumped onto him and then started hugging him. (Guess that was the ship that sailed today.)

“Okay, don’t you have a new resident in the house to take care of.” He said way too serious.

“Okay, okay.” Then she turned around towards me. “Well then let me introduce you to the kids.” She told me.

“Okay, but first of all, thanks for your help Haruda.” I thanked him.

“Yeah, and thanks for your help with saving the village too, Rosette.” He thanked me also.

“No problem, because in the battle I saw something beautiful.” I told him as I remembered, the day of the wolf massacre.

“Yeah, I don’t know what happened. But let me introduce you to the kids now.” She took me away by the hand. Towards the room where she came from.
