… Yeah. More new cards. I know you are probably bored of them, but what am I supposed to do?

Outside of fissures, it isn’t like I do much. … well, I do a lot of small things on HomeBase, but my daily routine is quite boring. Do you really want to read my diary where every day I do the same things?

At least by ‘reviewing’ Yugioh cards I have something interesting to talk about.

So until the States make their move, you all will have to wait. And deal with me just getting new cards.

I have three options for sets today. One of the Legendary Duelist sets I got yesterday, or Maximum Crisis. And I’ll start with Maximum Crisis, since it is the oldest.

I’m missing … 25-ish cards from it. And since that is quite a few, and having extra copies of cards is never a bad idea, I’ll start with 200 packs speedrun style, and get the rest with Capsules.

21 new cards. So my estimate of missing 25 probably wasn’t that far off.

Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring is first. And what do I say about it? Overpowered handtrap that I most likely won’t use, since it isn’t that useful in my use.

Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio is basically summon Darlingtonia Cobra the card.

Ariel, Priestess of the Nekroz can change its level by revealing Nekroz cards in your hand. And if tributed, you get to search for a non-Ritual Nekroz monster.

SPYRAL GEAR - Last Resort is a decent equip monster. Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects is great, as is the targeting protection. And Last Resort even allows for double attacking. Basically the only thing it doesn’t do is give the monster an attack boost, which would be appreciated in the archetype.

Performapal U Go Golem, as a scale, lets you search for a Performapal, Odd-Eyes or Magician Pendulum monster if you Fusion summon. And if a monster, and it was Pendulum summoned this turn, you can Fusion summon using it and a Dragon you control.

Majesty Maiden, the True Dracocaster can be tribute summoned by tributing a Continuous Spell or Trap. You know, like basically all True Dracos. And if you control a tribute summoned Majesty Maiden, when your opponent activates a card or effect, add a True Draco or True King from deck to the hand.

Dinomight Knight, the True Dracofighter has the same ‘tribute Continuous Spell or Traps for tribute summon as Majesty Maiden. And like Maiden, when your opponent activates a card or effect when you control Knight, you get a search. But with Knight it is for a True Draco or True King Continuous Trap, and you can even activate it directly from the deck.

Dreiath III, the True Dracocavalry General has the usual tribute effect of True Draco. Protects True Draco and True King monsters from targeting and card effect destruction. Except Dreiath III can still be targeted for some reason. And if this tribute summoned monster leaves the field, special a True Draco and True King from the deck.

Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior has the same tribute summon effect as all the others. And like Dinomight Knight, it can search for True Draco or True King Continuous cards, but Ignis Heat searches Continuous Spells. And yes, they can be immediately activated.

Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King has the tribute summon effect. It is unaffected by the types of cards tributed for its tribute summon, you know, monsters, Spells and Traps. And if you control this tribute summoned card, you can banish a Continuous Spell or Trap from the GY to pop a card. And you can do that during either player’s turn.

Sylvan Princessprite is a pretty good Rank 1. Detach 1 to ‘excavate’ the top card of your deck, if it is a monster, send it to the GY, if Spell or Trap, add to hand. You can also send a Plant from your field or Hand to the GY to resurrect a Sylvan.

Zoodiac Chakanine has the usual Zoodiac effects. And you can detach 1 to special a Zoodiac from the GY, but its effects are negated and it cannot be used as Xyz material that turn.

Tornado Dragon can detach a material to MST.

Performapal Gatlinghoul does a bunch of burn and if you use a Pendulum monster, it pops a monster and does even more burn.

True King of All Calamities is nice. Just change everything's attribute, and make it so monsters with that attribute cannot attack or activate their effects. And you can even destroy your opponent’s monsters to special summon the True Kings, and the one True Draco, that can be special summoned by destroying 2 ‘monsters of that attribute’ from your hand or field.

Duelist Alliance is a set. … but for some reason it is also a card. Which wasn’t even printed in Duelist Alliance. This is Cyberdark Impact! all over again. It searches for a "Pendulum" Pendulum Monster or a "Pendulum" Spell or Trap.

Magician's Restage resurrects a level 3 or lower Spellcaster. But that effect can only be used once, because Restage is a Continuous Spell for some reason. At least it does search for a Magician Continuous Spell if sent to the GY.

True Draco Heritage lets you potentially draw 3 cards. Gives you an additional normal summon, though it has to be a tribute summon and a True Draco or True King. And if sent to the GY from the Spell & Trap Zone, pop a Spell or a Trap.

True King's Return, if sent from the Spell & Trap Zone to the GY, target a monster, destroy it. But wait, there is more. You can resurrect a True Draco or True King, but you can’t special summon for the rest of that turn. And you can also tribute summon a True Draco or True King during your opponent’s main phase.

Phantasm Spiral Battle just destroys a card. Sure you can activate it from the hand if you control Umi, but compared to the True Draco/King cards, this feels like nothing. Yeah it can also banish itself from the GY to move all Phantasm Spiral Equips to a normal monster you control, but that also is quite little.

Unending Nightmare is just an unlimited MST. Yes it is once per chain, and yes you have to pay 1k per pop, but ‘unlimited’ MST. It honestly might make for a good install for myself, just so I can destroy any incoming spells. Because with Health Conscious I shouldn’t even have to pay any life, even if the skill version would demand it.

That was everything new from the 200 packs, now let's see what I missed.

The answer is three cards.

Dragonic Diagram grants all True Draco/King monsters a 300/300 boost. The first time a tribute summoned true boy would be destroyed by battle, it isn’t. And you can destroy 1 card you control or in your hand to add a True Draco or True King card from your Deck to your hand. … do you see why this archetype is busted? It is so fricking good. And I kind of love it.

SPYRAL GEAR - Fully Armed can only be equipped to Super Agent. It gives it +1000 attack. If the equipped Super Agent destroys a monster by battle, you can banish both the destroyed monster and 1 other card. And when Fully Armed goes from the field to the GY, special a Super Agent from the GY.

Last one is a fun one. Number S0: Utopic ZEXAL. Most of its effect is just summoning condition and so on, but it gains 1k attack and defense for each material it has, and it can detach a material to prevent your opponent from activating cards and effects this turn.

But that was it. No special edition cards for Maximum Crisis.

Also, I planned on getting more cards this chapter, but this is long enough, I’d say. So I’m getting more in the next one.

I do want to add a fun note here at the end. I got the ‘Pack Addict’ achievement on YGOPro as I was doing the openings for this chapter. So apparently I’ve opened over 10,000 packs for this series now. And in case you want to know, I got the Collector achievement (3000 packs) on 2023-11-13.

Also, I'm sorry for all the packs. They'll stop soon. Just 2 more chapters of pack openings, and then I'll start the 'war'.
