Now that she thought about it, Liana could use magic, right? With Ayuna’s high magic stat, maybe she too could use it? Maybe if she asked Liana to teach her...

She imagined an image of a little girl shooting out a magical spell. The radiant magical light shooting out at her enemies, and then… BOOMMMM!!!

 

Just seeing it in her imagination alone was so cool already, what if it was in real life?

 

She couldn’t help but feel excited about what the future held for her. She reminded herself to go ask Liana to teach her how to use magic after she finished checking things up.

 

She glanced at the pink translucent system screen again, looking at the next option in the menu panel.

Ayuna’s eyes widened as she read the contents on the screen.

 

It seemed like her hypothesis was correct. This new body of hers seemed to hold a very high potential when it came to magic. 

 

And that racial skill… Maybe her hidden race was very good at magic? That seemed the most likely since her magic power stat was higher than any other stats. And all her skills… All of them were magic related.

 

She focused on the “Racial - Natural Magic Talent”, and the new screen popped up.

Ayuna’s eyes sparkled. It seemed like she was right after all! This new body of hers was very good at using magic, or so it seemed.

 

Her heart started beating faster and faster, and her body began trembling excitedly. She felt like shouting out loud, letting the world know how excited she was, but tried her best to suppress it.

 

Calming down her excitement, she quickly looked through the next skill.

 

Active - Magic Sense

When activated, allow the user to sense the flow of mana in the air.

 

This one seemed simple enough. If the magic system in this world was anything like in those fantasy novels she’d read, then this skill was the very basic foundation of any magic spell. 

 

It didn’t seem to be an offensive spell, going by the skill’s description and her knowledge from the novels, so maybe using it here wouldn’t do her any harm.

 

Thinking about using the skill for the first time made her heart beating faster and faster again. She took a deep breath and calmed her excitement. 

 

She then thought of activating the skill. 

 

As expected, the moment she willed the skill to activate, a different sensation suddenly appeared in her mind. It’s the similar feeling to when she opened the system. She felt like there was a switch in her head, and she just happened to know how to turn it on and off.

 

Taking in another deep breath, she turned on that switch, and in the next instant the whole world changed…

 

The ordinary-looking world from earlier turned magical instantly. Everything around her became more colorful. Sparkling lights in different colors danced around her as if the aurora was descended unto the earth!

 

Ayuna’s eyes sparkled in wonder and astonishment as she looked around at the colorful aura.

 

Hell yeah! This was it. This was real magic!

 

Her suppressed excitement shot through the roof. She felt like she couldn’t contain herself anymore. She really, really wanted to scream out loud right now, but before she could do so…

 

She turned off the switch in her mind and deactivated the skill. The colorful world turned back to normal.

 

Ayuna sighed in relief.

 

That was close. She almost lost herself from the excitement for a moment there…

 

She shook her head and looked at the next skill on the list.

 

Next up was… “Natural Magic Absorption”.

 

Passive - Natural Magic Absorption 

Automatically absorb the mana in the air and use it to replenish the user's energy and stamina, and also use it to repair the damage done to the user’s body.

Ayuna was at a loss for words. Just when she thought it couldn’t get any better, this skill's description just blew her mind!

 

Honestly, when she saw the skill’s name for the first time, she didn’t know what to expect, but now that she knew what the skill could do, she was beyond surprised!

 

Going by the skill’s description alone, she already knew the potential of this skill. 

 

It was technically auto regeneration! A very powerful skill that allowed the user to regenerate their HP, MP, and Stamina just by absorbing the mana in the air! 

 

Receiving damage? Her wounds would heal instantly!

 

Getting tired? What was that? Come again? She didn’t hear ya…

 

Running out of mana? Hah! There was plenty around her!

 

That said, as long as there was mana in the air, she would be technically invincible! And heck, mana was everywhere from what she’d observed just now with her “Magic Sense”…

 

Certainly, this skill was extremely OP!!

 

In the midst of her excitement, Ayuna finally realized something. 

 

She thought back to that moment in the BloodHorn forest. That time when she was dragged around by Liana, she was able to catch up to her speed without getting tired at all. 

 

For the speed, she wasn’t really surprised by that. She’d already found out from her status panel that her speed stat was a lot of times more than normal humans. Surely, achieving such a feat was to be expected.

 

But… that still didn’t explain why she didn’t get tired at all. 

 

Even a very capable Liana who seemed very well-trained still lost her stamina as the time passed by, but how come she didn’t get tired at all?

 

She had wondered about such a thing, but now that question of hers had been answered.

 

It must be due to this skill. “Natural Magic Absorption” was a passive skill—that meant it was activated at all times—thus constantly replenishing her stamina. 

 

She concluded that as long as she had this skill, she would never get tired. That would be really great!

It seemed like she and Liana had become best friends already. Ayuna wasn’t really surprised by this, though she still thought that their relationship developed really fast. Too fast, maybe.

 

But now that she thought about it, Liana told her that she had been living alone for all her life, so maybe she didn’t have many friends. Although she said she loved peace and quiet more, maybe she felt lonely deep down. That’s why when they met, their relationship developed really fast.

 

That’s what Ayuna believed.

 

It hadn’t even been a day, yet, but they were already considered best friends—at least by the system standard. That was extremely fast, but it wasn’t that shocking. 

 

In her past life as Eric, he and his two buddies also became best friends real fast. Common interest, he supposed. Those guys were similar to him in many ways. For one, they were total NEET.

 

Thinking about her two buddies, Ayuna suddenly felt sad. She would never meet those guys again. They’d been good to her in her past life, so at least she wanted to say thanks to them before she’s gone.

401+ = Obsession 

 

Ayuna read until the last line and cracked a wry smile. 

 

Obsession, huh? She thought she had an idea of what that was. And to think that it even went beyond Eternal Love…

 

Ayuna chuckled to herself and shook her head. 

 

So Yandere really was a thing in this world as well, huh? If so, then she hoped it was a good type instead of the psycho one. That would end this game in a tragedy…

 

Ayuna noticed the (+) on the screen and focused on it.

A plus symbol indicates the potential of how the relationship will develop. Plus(+) being in the positive way while the minus(-) being the opposite.

 

Well, that made sense. More than that, this also implied that it was possible for the relationship to deteriorate as well. Ayuna noted this to heart.

Ayuna’s eyes sparkled as she discovered more and more items and skills in the shop. 

 

This was technically a treasury! There was a lot of cool-looking stuff in here. Though, the price for the cool stuff was really expensive. Although it made sense, Ayuna still felt her mouth twitching as she smiled at the system screen as if wanting to file a complaint.

The moment Ayuna saw the legendary sword, her excitement shot through the roof, but then she saw the price and instantly became depressed…

Ayuna sighed and shook her head.
