CHAPTER 10: Lv.1 LIGHTNING STRIKE CONQUERED!!

Winter had arrived~ 

It has been two whole months (5 whole months after his awakening) after Mo Fan cast his first lightning strike. In these two months Mo Fan had been doing nothing but practice casting the spell. 

At first it took him a while to cast it (8 Seconds), but he soon got accustomed to the process and now he was familiar with it to the point where he can cast Lightning strike within 2 seconds!!

It was huge progress for him. Truthfully it was all thanks to the amount of Magic Stamina (Mana) he accumulated through out the first month after his awakening, that he was able to cast 5 spells in a row before his mana running dry, after that he had to wait for 1hr until little loach restored it to full! He basically maxed out the Magic Stamina one can accumulate at the 0-1 level. That's why no matter how much he meditated it didn't budged even a little.

But after casting the first spell, he felt his Stardust's bottleneck loosening, so Mo Fan kept casting for 5 days straight and when the bottleneck was completely gone he started meditating again and accumulating Magic Stamina (Mana). He did that every time he finished practicing Casting the spell. He basically didn't rest for even a little bit, and because of his Arduous Efforts, his mana capacity increased and he was now able to cast 10 spells continuously.

It was because of the wonderful passive meditation function of the cheat item that he had been able to gather so much mana when he just started out and even now! Without it Mo Fan could at most cast 2 spells a day and that’s the end. But in the first place if he did not have the mana he owns right now, he probably would’ve been practicing control even until now.

Mo Fan did not cultivate further as he kept on practicing to increase his Magic casting speed. He had painstakingly gone from 8 seconds to 2 seconds within two whole months by casting magic like a madman daily (18hrs a day). To be honest it was taking quite a toll on his body just by casting the spell! His mind would start to hurt and he would feel nauseous, His vision would become blurry and he would be on the verge of blacking out every time his mana ran out. 

But this process was also helping him as his Mental Strength had increased again by +0.2, he was not feeling any different than before but it was visible that he was able to cast more fluently than before.

The season of winter had brought changes even inside the classroom as the ‘bigshot’ of the class Mu Bai was able to control 5 stars and Xu Zhao Ting was able to control 4 stars.

Mu Bai would always look at Mo Fan’s side and look smug. But Mo Fan completely treated him like a retard.

Zhao Kunsan would come and talk shit all the time, it was basically his routine by now. Even the class was getting annoyed by him by now.

Mo Fan stopped practicing Casting after he was able to release magic in one and a half second. He felt that it was enough for now and started focusing more on Cultivation of the stardust.

So he put all he had into cultivating now. He had to nourish the Lightning Stardust with his magic stamina and increase its level. This process was quite arduous as mana and mental energy will be consumed like water. He was able to cultivate without any loss in mana because of little loach, but the others would only be able to do this for 2hours, before fainting miserably.

He regularly cultivated till the last month of the semester (6 months passed after awakening), he even skipped school for this month and only went for written mock exams. He poured his heart and soul into cultivating the Lightning Element.

“Brother Fan, where were you all this time!!” Zhang Xiaohou saw Mo Fan after 2 weeks and quickly ran towards him with a silly smile.

“I had to take care of something, so I was not able to come” Mo Fan replied with a smile.

In reality, he had not come out of his room for so long that people had thought he was not in the room. He was having closed door cultivation session all this time.

His Lightning Stardust was Glowing to the brim and was acting weird, he hit another bottleneck in his cultivation, and for some reason the Stars were flickering violently like they want to break free of their current binding.

“Hmm~~~” the Monkey like boy was staring intently at him like he was going to poke a hole through him.

“What? Why’re you staring like that? I don’t swing that way!” Mo Fan felt weird for some reason.

“It’s just that something feels different about you. I can’t put my finger on it but you seem more mature for some reason.” Is what Zhang Xiaohou said while tilting his head to the sideways.

“What nonsense are talking about! Forget about that and how’s your progress?” Mo instantly changed the subject as he was afraid of anyone finding out his second element. 

_This guy is unusually sharp at times, I have to be more careful as to not let the lightning element's aura leak out even a little_ Mo Fan swore to himself.

“Oh hehe, glad you asked! I can now control 5 stars in my Stardust.” Said Zhang Xiaohou with a smiling face as he did he peace sign.

Mo Fan was surprised that he was able to keep up with people like Mu Bai in his cultivation.

“Good Job~ Keep it up” Mo Fan genuinely praised him.

“Hah! Says the kind of dreg who can’t even control a single star!” Zhao Kunsan butted his way into the conversation and started to insult Mo Fan like it was natural for him.

“Piss off Fat ass” Zhang Xiaohou said with a displeased look.

“Forget it let’s leave, you can’t really shout at a dog, as it would not understand us and keep barking” Mo Fan said Casually and left with Houzi.

Hearing this comment, Zhao Kunsan spat on the floor to spite Mo Fan.

Hah even after almost 6 months, he was not even able to control a single star! Why was he acting so high and mighty when even he, was only able to control 3 stars.

A few days later after Classes, Mo Fan left the school campus in his jersey for the first time in a while. 

He basically hit another road block and was not moving any further in his cultivation. 

He was able to release magic in just a second now. He perfected his lightning strike to the point where no energy was lost in the process of casting and the spell was Released In peak condition. It was quite destructive to be honest. 

Mo Fan thought he couldn’t become any faster in casting the spell and gave up on improving his casting speed.

“It has been a while since I went for a walk huh.”

Mo Fan flipped his t-shirt and noticed that his perfect and alluring abs and muscles were almost gone. He was disappointed with the fact that his body was not improving with his growing cultivation. He had to keep up with his muscle training alongside his cultivation.

“Sigh, in my previous world, there was no magic so, many people only focused on improving their bodies. But now I have to keep an eye on the state of my body and cultivate as well!” Mo Fan Sighed.

A well trained body was a necessity for every mage as they need to be in their top form to get away from Magic beasts while fighting them. Otherwise doing things half assed would only get them killed in the process.

Mo Fan started his jogging. Even while he was jogging his Stardust was in a passive meditative state because of little loach. His Magic Stamina (Mana) was in a state of inclination all the time.

After 2hrs of continuous jogging he noticed that he had arrived quite far away from school. 

“Its getting dark, I better start heading back after taking a short break.” 

Mo Fan took a short break and drank water from a drinking fountain in a park nearby. It was already 7pm in the evening, all the kids were running towards their mothers, as it was time to go home.

He sat down on a bench nearby. Mo Fan peeked inside his Spiritual World and noticed his Stardust was flickering even more violently. The passive meditation hit a bottleneck as it was not improving any further. but the mana capacity had increased greatly. Judging from the glow of the Stardust alone, he was sure that he can cast at least 15 spells continuously. 

He knitted his brows and started Cultivating, he thought he will be able to break past his bottleneck but it was no use.

“Sigh.. forget it. Oh right speaking off, Mingwen Girl’s middle school was quite close from here. Let’s pay a visit to Xinxia first before going back!” Mo Fan Happily decided his future plans and left the park and headed towards the school.

“Guguguu” 

Suddenly Mo Fan heard a weird voice. He turned around to look but there was nothing there.

“Was it my imagination?” He continued on his way care freely.

Inside the sewage on the road where Mo Fan was standing on previously.

There were two Colossal Eyed Ape Rats heading towards the same direction as he was. 

There was a new huge tunnel inside the sewage where these creatures were commuting to and from. It extended all the way towards the Mingwen Girl's Middle School. 

Little did Mo Fan knew that his point of view towards this new world was going to shift tremendously from now on.
