What will happen if two opposing laws, combine each other? Simple, a dissonance will occur. Those near it will become corrupted as the laws applied to them are corrupted also.

Antinomy, where rules of different laws oppose to one another. Creating an abomination or an object that is incomprehensible to any living beings. Legends alike.

When a crack appears an Area of Law was created at the same time if an invasion occur, in a form of a small bubble. While their size isn't increasing, the area they affected is large enough to cover a village. It isn't to be underestimated, as they overwrite a Law or merge with it.

Rules are thrown out as logic doesn't matter with this said abomination/object. They gain power, they die as their body cannot take it. There are other cases too, that results in a creation of another corrupted higher being, or an corrupted creation.

Their appearance is the definition of anomaly itself. They have a small control to manipulate reality itself. Unaware of such power because of it's low intelligence. They'll rampage on a killing spree on every being they see.

They are quite hard to kill. But we haven't seen the bigger picture yet. There also beings that are stronger and has higher intelligence.

But that's for another story...

"Finally, we're here already I'm fucking starving." It was time, that they moved to the designated checkpoint. The refugees couldn't help but sigh in relief as their stomachs cannot take in the hunger.

"No shit, my belly's been aching for an hour right now." Another average person said.  He brought his rations, and opened it. Revealing 3 small salty sardine and the rest are full of jerkies.

"Fuck, those minutes felt like hours. Especially if you're in a hurry." An average person rubbed his belly. Drooling as he looked at his freshly opened ration.

"Welp, I'm going in!"

On the far side, the six man team silently looked at them.

"Hungry?" Leight looked at the seven. Their bellies screaming in hunger.

"We can't help it, these people are showing off their food in front of us. So why not?" Mivon opened his ration as the six nodded.

"Yeah, I don't se why not. It's almost afternoon anyway." Leight concluded ending the discussion. He unpacked his bag, however-.

His spine shivered for no reason while his eyes widened in shock, the same for the others too. He wondered what that was , he checked his surroundings only to find nothing.

"...what was that...?" To him, it felt like a directed killing intent. The others cautiously looked at their surroundings, with Sharon and Ildi activating their Light [Magic Detection] that spands miles ahead.

But they couldn't find anything.

"Ya think it's just the cold wind?" Klover couldn't help but question the thing that caused their emotions in intense turmoil.

"Yeah... I think so.... Maybe?" Klover looked at the windy landdscape, his eyes squinted. As small leaves clogged his vision.

Their mood to eat was spoiled by the sudden chill. The same goes for everyone too, they couldn't forget it.

Something was really wrong, and their mind just couldn't figure it out.

85D 18H 13M, Afternoon.

The strange sudden shiver was still present. The guards are on high alert, so as the adventurers. Their paranoia of something really bad will come out was not an imagination at all.

The citizens, showing signs of slight unease. And the feeling of wanting to go home.... They frowned, concerned etched on their faces.

The wind blew furthermore. Their weapons gripped hardly to it's handle. Lips quivered and it's guard to it's maximum, they hastily kept walking whilst keeping an eye on their surrounding.

"...." Klover kept looking at almost every direction, the shiver got all time worst. He released a small cold breath from his mouth, releasing a chilling cold air.

It was slowly getting colder the farther they went. There are no small signs of snow yet, but the chilling air made everyone reconsider their thoughts. They hastened further, in fear of provoking something sinister they unintentionally awoke.

"Let's hurry up the pace everyone!" The said guard who yelled at them earlier. Convinced them to hasten their journey, they nodded.

The fear of death looming closer than ever, dispatching scouts are useless too. With someone with this kind of killing intent released, they would only gain more casualties or possibly killed. Hindering their overall manpower.

"...I think we should.... This is the first time I'm feeling this kind of thing." Leight clutced his folded arms, convincing everyone to follow the guards order.

"For a veteran like me, this is really not normal at all." He concluded, his team nodded. He smiled in relief.

"Yeah, I think we should." Everyone too acknowledge Ildi's decision. They walked slightly faster, albeit keeping an eye for any looming dangers.

If they kept going at this pace, they'll reach the second checkpoint in no time.

But alas, unfortunate as they was. Something unknown was following them, it's footsteps barely audible. Which also signifies the thing getting closer, they changed their pace. With more haste than before, that thing has no mana vein.

But it's pressure proved that wrong. Every living being will always have a mana vein on them, even if they have no affinity in magic at all.

For Klover, he was an exception. He doesn't have an ounce of idea to why he has a vein in the first place. Once an infant is born, a mana vein is almost complete. Now that they just have to wait for a couple of years for it to be truly usable.

Maybe it was already inside of him? He doesn't know, nor does he intend to find it out later on.... Yet.

As long as it benefits him, he won't complain about it.

"It's getting even closer now...." Leafa with her creepy smile gone, now showing her true expression of caution and concern. She bit her lip, her Light [Mana Detection] completely useless from this "thing" that is arriving for them.

"Mommy..." A child cried in such intense pressure. The other's followed suite. The fear of the unknown and childlike naivety clashed against each other.

"It's alright. Nobody is going to hurt you, I promise." The mother caressed her son's head in reassurance, and carried him on her back instead. Letting her take her son's burden.

"It's alright okay, I'm here with you..." With all the reassurance from their parents, everthing got resolved as quickly as possible. They stopped for a bit with the looming dread coming behind them.

They dare not to look back, only looking and moving forward. With them finally catch up to the group, with sighs of relief.

They always moved in a herd. Only expecting to not be targeted first, that's just survival instinct. They don't want to die.

There are still things that they have done yet. Life is an experience, and they will let some mere monster take it.

Since their purpose have not yet ended.

"It's almost here." The stronger ones of the herd moved forward. Covering the weak ones behind their backs. Their weapons ready to be unsheathed as the ground rumbles, it is near.

Some are shaking in fear, but they ignored it. Their eyes focused on what's in front of them with their eyes in fear of closing.

A silhouette finally showed up. The size was bigger than they expected.

And then-

"Wh-what the fuck?" They could not believe what they are staring right now. The morale lost was greater than they expected, but the couragous just looked at it in fear and disgust.

"E-eeeekkk!" Others fell at their feet. Shrieking just seeing it's appearance alone. Gazing over 15 foot tall stood a monster of everyone's nightmares. It's mutated body of different types of monster. From goblin, orc, ogre a dragon... With it's leg with the head of a goblin, dragon for the arm, and ogre like face mutated with that of a goblin, whilst black blood spilling from it's neck, it's entire torso fo that of an ogre and the scale of a dragon.1I like to think of this as chimera. But more mutated and ugly looking.

The ground shook further, the earth rummbles signaling the arrival of the others like this monster standing before them. Dread course through their veins, as the color of their faces paled.

There's more of them, and it wasn't just one or two. But dozens of them. Their appearance aren't the same with the one they just saw.

The morale was lowered even further. How can they kill this monstrosity, they don't know. A single one might work, but dozens...?

"I-it's all over...." A person fell to his knees, his eyes shows despair to the situation around him. The others followed suite, their weapons fell from their hands as they kneel at the hopelessness of the situation.

"N-no we can't give up..." They shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but just the appearance alone is enough to intimidate and scare the shit out of them.

"...." Klover was scared speechless, but he dared not look back and run away. He can't do this alone, but atleast he'll support everyone with the best of his abilities.

His resolve strenghtened, his eyes shone determination and uncertainty. He unsheathed his dagger, the cold air spewed from his mouth. Taking deep breaths.

"To everyone who's incapable of fighting right now... RUN AWAY!!!" The leading knight surprisingly said.

.

.

.

With the knights words, those who can't help and fight ran. The horses whose nobles have tied into a grandiose carriage outpassed those who hadn't.

"Ahhhh!" "Kyaaahhh!!!" They screamed in fear, running farther away in the battlefield. Some of the knights and adventurers ran with them too. As a resort to protect them while the main fighting team is occupied.

"•=¥#££@&£(¥¥!!!!£" Their distorted roar resounded through the deep forest, nature trembled before them. Disturbed, other living beings either stayed in their homes or flee away from the area.

The anomalies charged before them. Their distorted appearance slowly rotting, their of that of a rotten meat as those in the battlefield stayed away from them.

"Charge...!" The used was that of an uncertain one. Unsure if they would survive in the first place, if it's to complete their order. Then they'll do it.

*Swooosh*

A pointy glowing green spell was thrown at the anomalies. It was Leafa, her eyes in deep focus as she charged another shot.

Suprisingly it worked! Their skin shows sign of no regeneration. But they can't be so sure about it, this is a new enemy they are facing.

A few seconds later, their worst fear came true. Albeit slowly. The slightly small open wound of the mangled monster regenerated.

"Tch..." Leafa spat in disgust. Her eyes squinted. As she prepares another shot.

...

Meanwhile-

"Arggghhhh!" In a speed almost invisible to the human eye the duo Leight and Klover, barely keeping up as their blades charged to the anomalies.

*Swishhh* A sound so satisfying, yet it results destroys that. Dealing almost no scratches to the said monster.

"!%&&#(A£+!!!??" The anomaly was angered it's arm with the head of the dragon spew a deadly black flame.

Aimed directly at Klover. With no time to react.

"Shit!" Leiggt pulled Klover out of the said area, the others were busy fighting the other anomalies too. Leaving them only three to spare, whilst barely dodging it.

Once Klover was pulled back, he tripped outside down. Losing his balance as he regained his vision. Though his determination was praisable, his strength just wasn't enough to prove it.

He grit his teeth, he needs to help somehow.

He returns to the battlefield, his daggers prepared to cut the malformed entities. A fire in eyes glimmered.

Another claw attack was then aimed at him again, this time he dodged it rather easily. It's force in conflict with the ground, causing it to crack showing a small crater.

'Those things are deadly.' Klover thought, not noticing the shocked fighters.

'One hit, and you're dead.' That's what they thought.

"25th Page of the Book of Magmeis." Sharon's wand glowed.

Fire [Uya Scuyti]2Tinkered the name for a bit. Originally Uy Scuti, known as the largest star ever observed. Her newly bought wand glowed with blue light. As a small blue ball of magic was formed.

The magic spell can adjust it's size if the user wills it. If it's in a higher scale type of attack. It will mostly deal slight to severe burn damage to almost everyone in a vicinity in a certain meters. Though with a small scale spell, it's heat is strong enough to evaporate a living being near it. Though not enough to cause a forest fire as it's flames evaporate as fast as the speed of light. Living only a wasteland or a small crater. Though that mostly depends on the user mana capacity and output.

For Sharon, it was strong enough to only weaken those things, though she was not sure. But temporarily.

The blue flame became larger, as her mana was slowly being drained. Her hanfs trembled as if she was carrying a heavy object, like chains restraining her frok even raising her arms in the first plave.

"Klover! Leight! Stay away! She warned them, looking at the two, currently busy inflicting damage to the malformed entities. Albeit having little to none progress at all.

But they heard her voice. But not quite heard the details she said.

"Can you say that again!?" Leight demanded her to speak up once more, the desperate cries of people fighting blocking her voice.. This time dividing his focus into two parts.

"I said, get away!" This was her final warning. She had no idea what she was doing. But she needs to be useful. Her arms almost not taking it no more, on the verge of collapse. She either release it, or cancel the spell itself.

Fortunately, he heard it. Leight, signaled Klover who was still distracted about not getting hit. Barely dodging it's attacks. With it's indifinite pattern of attack, he would not test his luck with the cost of his life.

"Klover, let's stay away for a bit." He gestured him. He nodded immediately, whilst not looking at him. Another swing with an arm of a malformed dragon head struck him.

*BANG* It resounded, fortunately he dodged it in a nick of time. However-

The said arm with a malformed dragon head started releasing a hot air of fire. Klover's eyes widened in surprise, his expression turned ugly as mind turned into overdrive.

"Shit!" Not knowing what to do. Panic overtook him, he dodged out of instinct. As the hot flames distorts the air, representing just how dangerous it is.

"Ghkkk!!!" He barely dodged it. His adrenaline giving him a short burst of stamina as another malformed anomaly approached him. It's head consisting of a goblin and an orc dripping albeit in dissonance with black blood dripping from it's head.

It's arms is that of a pterodactyl's wings. Combined with a dragon claw. A gore-ish image with it's body as it was carved with human faces, expression of that of a shock inbedded in it.

Klover felt a another wave of chill... This time it was of it's appearance, and now it was charging at him.

"Ah...." He forced his legs to move, moving out of harms way, avoiding it's unexpected charge. He forced himself to stand up again.

As he regrouped with his allies. His breathed slightly ragged.

"You're safe!" The blonde man took Klover's hand. And patted his back, and let g afterward. He thought he was too late, but atleast he's safe.

He looked at Sharon, signaling it to launch her spell. She nodded. The burden lifted from her. Releasing her spell.

"....ghk!!" She released it. The ball going at such speed directing at the three monsters in the near process of approaching the two men.

*BOOOM*

A shockwave occured, followed with a slight release of blue fire. Dissipating it in a speed of light, that only the onlookers could is a severe disruption of the air around it.

Thus, the repercussion occured.

"Ghhhhk!" A large amount of smoke enough to blind the trio covered their eyes. The others, ignoring their situation as they were solely focus on the battlefield. But they deeply hope they are alright.

The dust dissipates, the three opened their eyes in curiosity. Hoping that they woukd just disappear already.

Revealing a corpes with an exposed ribcage, riddled with black blood. Their mangled features slightly started moving, their entire bones completely out of place.

They started regenerating. The trio's eyes widened, it isn't over yet. But-

Klover noticed something. The flesh always reformed at the center of their body. He looked closer at the being's ribcage as he went closer.

"Wait, what are doing Klover?" Curious as they was, there was fear evident in their eyes. Leight tightly griped his shoulder. Asking for an explanation.

"I have something to try, let me go..." He hurriedly shoved Leight's grip.

"Do you want to die...?" It was a soft angry mutter. The screams of the people still engaged the battlefield remain unheard except for the two.

"I don't want to die. I know that, but let me go just this once. You can kick my ass later if they suddenly attack me again." He glared at Leight, begging him to let go.

He obliged, surprised by his attitude.

"...fine." He let go. Still worried about him, he watched him as he slowly went to the monster, still half-way in the process of regenerating.

He prepared to unsheathe his sword again, afraid of that something will go wrong.

...

With each step. His heart looks like it's about to explode from pure fear, hesitance etch into to his stern face. The anomalies slowly regenerating with their ribcage almost in the process of being covered by it's flesh.

"..." He gulped. Hoping that he was right, his  cloak soaked black aftee coming into contact with the lost blood.

He was getting closer. Klover held his dagger, hoping that this would work. He felt like the black blood screeched at the unexpected intruder, vibrating. Encouraging him to stay away.

It's already to late though. What's done has been done, he has to finished what he started.

With a final step. He finally reached the ribcage of the three abomination. The ribcage, underneath it, was a heart of some kind, whilst not looking like it at the same time.

It's like a plethora of many epileptic colors, swirling around. With others disappearing into nothingness, with others replacing it instead, while remaining black at same time.

With another wave of hesitance, he shook hisnhead at such intimidating sight. He raised his dagger preparing to destroy the ribcage.

And then-

*Crack*

It was a small one, the bones of the ribcage slowly cracked, albeit using his full force. The process of regeneration slowly getting faster.

'This isn't going to be easy.' He thought, his heart still pounding. He needs to get out, but his heart says no. He pierced it again.

*Crack*

"There...." His breath ragged, as he couldn't breath. Maintaning full focus, while still aware of his surroundings. They are getting faster. He needs to do it quick.

*Crack*

He hastily pierced it again, this time using strengthening magic.

*Crack*

Again... the black particles hastening the regenration process even further in fear of death.

*Crack*

He was sweating, but the bones of the ribs are on the verge of cracking. Hope was by his side until it finally worked.

*CRACK*

He felt the bones snapped, he took his chance as the particles desperately cover it, leaving nothing but black mess along with his stuck hand.

"Shit!" He cursed, his dagger was stuck there, and he was gripping it as if his life is on the line. Well, technically it is.

He was so close, he only needs to strike it. Feeling the fleshy part through his dagger. He smiled.

'This was it.' He poked it several times until he finally stabbed it.

85D 18H 03M, Afternoon

The battle was hard, everyone was struggling. So as Ildi whilst carrying Aaron on his wheelcheer, Mivon, Cordelia and Marcus. Stucked in a deadlock between four anomalies.

Not even waiting for the time to prepare they charged. Cordelia with her spear, only pierced the monster eye. Temporarily distracting them as Ildi's dome broke recently broke, Mivon supporting his sister with his spellbool and Marcus leading and protecting them with his greatsword, if they made a mistake.

"#¥×¢{&!!!!" That is until a  desynchronized ear piercing shriek happened, surprising everyone in the battlefield. It feels out of place, they stopped for a bit they looked at the source of it.

As they a boy with a brown cloak with the other two holding off two malformed entities, the others not knowing that he just killed the first anomaly ever since the first invasion began.

So I accidentally deleted this chapter by accident, and wrote this entire chapter by memory. So sorry for the late release. I'll edit it later, if I found some mistake tomorrow.
