“They are his fiancees?” Questions Kaya as she accepts another wet plate from Mitsuko before wiping it dry and placing it on the basket.

“Yes,” Mitsuko calmly starts washing a soapy mug.

“And they cannot talk our language?” Kaya continues, briefly glancing at the mother of three.

“That’s what Nik said, didn’t he? I met them this morning, too. But he didn’t introduce them as such until the end of dinner.”

Kaya blinks, “Do you really think he thought we would take food away from him?”

“From what little I know of him,” Mitsuko works her jaw, truly annoyed for once. “Food occupies his mind more than anything. And the cake you brought was delicious.”

Kaya thins her lips before sighing deeply. She adjusts her glasses before accepting the mug from Mitsuko. “I should have known your taste in complicated men never changed. First Juno, and now this.”

“My luck in meeting these men still surpasses yours, too,” Mitsuko smiles warmly. “You met Juno a bit late, and the same for Nik.”

The corner of Kaya’s eyes twitch as she smiles warmly in return, “Good for you. You have the option to leave one lie for another. I’m so happy for you, Mitsuko.”

Both women smile at each other warmly, a warmth that fails to reach their eyes.

‘Ahh! Should I enter?’ Kyouko stays behind the wall with dirty dishes in her hands, only to find Ursa walk out of the living room with the last bunch of plates. The fair, almost princely woman cluelessly smiles at Kyouko before entering the kitchen as Mitsuko and Kaya turn to look at the woman.

“How beautiful she is,” Kaya smiles, nodding at Ursa as Kyouko meekly follows the ‘foreigner.’

“Hmm,” Mitsuko chuckles. “At least she tried to smile while eating the sweets you brought.”

Kyouko sweatdrops as Kaya and Mitsuko glance at each other again.

“Tha-nk you,” Ursa speaks gratefully despite her broken words as she gestures for the other women to leave the dishes to her, to which Mitsuko takes out the most magical device near her—

“I can’t believe smartphones can do that,” Nik stares at his Samsong. “Auto-translation! Fuck me! I can find a translation book instead of creating one now that I know it’s Mandarin!” He plays with the auto-translate feature Kurumi taught him when a large face nudge against his hand.

“Ah, sorry,” Nik grins, pocketing his smartphone before hugging Ignit’s reptilian face and rubbing his face against hers. “I promise I won’t distract myself again. Let’s practice lightningbending again!”

A night sky blankets the groves of his personal world as he and Ignit train around a small pool of water surrounding one giant egg—The Dragon Spring.

“Hnf!” Ignit chuffs as she flies again, dexterously coiling while Nik starts circling out and filtering the positive and negative chi to muster lightning around the tips of his index and middle finger.

He got time to train more than usual since the news of the other women being his Fiancees took the Souma Family by surprise. Kurumi already knew about it and more, and even if Mitsuko and her two eldest daughters seemed to understand the kind of relationship Nik could have with them, they didn’t expect him to speak about it so openly.

And why would he even lie about his relationship? He didn’t almost go through hell for them, and they for him, just for him to lie about their relationship for convenience’s sake. That’s one line Nik doesn’t want to cross.

‘But I could have done things a bit better instead of telling them once I had my fill of the cake,’ Nik muses as he reverts his attention to the lightning coiling around his fingers.

*Zap*

Lightning travels, leaving a breathtaking boom of noise as Nik exhales deeply.

*Clash*

Ignit creates a thicker lightning bolt from her horns before impacting the distant barrier surrounding the personal space.

“Can’t sleep?” Nik turns to look beyond the bushes as Ty Lee slowly steps out with a guilty look.

“Sorry, I didn’t want to disturb you during your training.” She sheepishly smiles before taking a deep breath and relaxing her posture. “Still trying to overtake Ignit and Azula when it comes to Lightningbending?”

“And Lavabending-Metalbending against Toph,” Nik nods with a grin. “I can make up for the talent by training when they sleep, right? I did the same thing when training under Hama with Katara.”

Ty Lee nods as she watches Ignit landing wobbly before the giant lizard fails to control her speed, falling the last meter with a draconic yelp.

“Wow!” She blinks. “You actually got better! Did your chat with the herd of Air Bisons help?” She tiptoes around Ignit as the dragon scoffs a peal of flame before looking away. The herd of Air Bisons gifted by Aang is under the Ty Sisters' care due to Lee’s experience with the species for almost two years. While Ty Lee isn’t an expert, she knows the bare minimum, and the data from the Fire Palace’s library worked wonders to accommodate the Flying Bisons into their new homes.

“I guess she’s still shy,” Nik hums, crossing his arms as he questions. “Is something troubling you?” He makes an educated guess. “Is it the Souma Family?”

Ty Lee stiffens before slowly nodding as she sits by the Dragon Spring’s Bank, dipping her slender feet into the warm water under Ignit’s scowl.

When did the Dragon Spring become a feet hot spring?!

“Do you plan on telling me?” Nik sits beside her, smiling. “I can probably guess what’s going on in two-three tries, but I feel it would be slightly disrespectful. You wouldn’t like to be known as an easy read, especially by Azula, right?”

“Azula isn’t as mean as you and Zuko make her out to be,” Ty Lee pouts. “She is very sensible, you know. She just doesn’t like showing that side of her.”

Nik works his jaw. ‘Are we talking about the same Azula?’

“So? How do you feel about my homeworld?”

“Cameras are the best!” Ty Lee gushes, and her mood brightens visibly. “Kurumi taught us about the filters! Hehe~!” She giggles. “I turned Woo’s face into a horse!”

Nik snickers. That sounds fun.

“Looks like you sisters are taking to smartphones quicker than I did on my first day,” Nik hums. “There are many places to shop. Mitsuko took me to a place where there were some fun dresses. I’d like to purchase many things from that store for Katara and the rest. And Kurumi told me about Karaoke.”

“Karaoke?” Ty Lee blinks, looking at Nik with her round eyes.

“Hmm. So, there’s this room we sit in. Waiters serve us any drinks and other refreshments on the menu as we sing different songs with our friends. Since it’s private, the customers don’t feel embarrassed, and it’s a lot of fun—or so Kurumi says. Personally, I think she just wants to use the privacy to do some stuff.”

Ty Lee looks away with a visible pout.

“I like the cakes that Kaya brought us,” she shifts the subject. “They were so fluffy and creamy! One of them even tasted like an Ash Banana but smoother!” She gulps, licking her bottom lip as she starts salivating at the mere recollection of its taste. “But,” her mood drops. “I saw how Kaya was looking at you.”

“I think this world truly has different morals,” Nik leans back, his hands against the ground to support his back. “Kaya didn’t seem all that repulsed even after knowing my relationship with the rest of you guys. Ray, I told you about her, right? She thinks this world is more ‘sexual.’”

“You mean your relationship with the rest, not me,” Ty Lee mutters.

“Would you like to marry me?” Nik blinks and proposes with a smile.

“What? N-No!” Ty Lee gapes.

“Eh, we gave it a shot,” He chuckles as Ty Lee snaps out of her daze before staring at Nik angrily, “Don’t joke about that! Not after what we did during our return to the Fire Nation!”

“You mean what I did, and you saw from the bed’s distant corner,” Nik reiterates as Ty Lee huffs. “Yes, yes! Happy? Why can’t you simply treat me the same way as the rest?!”

“Hmm,” Nik strokes his chin. “Let’s see. I slept with Michi and Poppy pretty much the same day I met them. June, too.”

“Not like them!”

“Zuko and Sokka really channel their annoyance with me when we train. After all, having a relationship with their mothers and sisters gives them all the reason they need to not hold themselves back.”

“Not like them either!”

Nik slowly looks at Ty Lee, informing, “Ignit seems to enjoy head pats and belly rubs.”

Resting nearby, Ignit makes the sound of agreement. As intelligent as she is, the mythical Dragon enjoys the most primal and superior kind of intimacy—head pats.

Ty Lee clenches her fist as she keeps staring at Nik stubbornly, unwilling to raise the ‘unladylike’ topic but also looking forward to it more than ever as Nik’s smile turns every bit knowing.

“Damn it! She’s just frustrated she doesn’t have a choker around her neck! So are we! Just kiss her and let her spearhead our turns!”

A frustrated growl destroys the silence as Ty Lee comically jumps from her spot before looking at her Elder Sisters, who slowly walk out from different bushes.

“What are you six doing here?!” Ty Lee snaps at them before looking at Nik. “Did you know?”

“When I called out, I expected all seven of you to step out,” Nik shrugs. “But now I think your sisters were following you.”

“And you heard it all?” Ty Lee turns to stare at her sisters with red cheeks as Ty Woo(6) grins. “Every last bit, bitch.”

“God!” Ty Lee stamps her foot in frustration. “You six are unbelievable!”

“Says the one who turned us into horses and different animals on Kurumi’s smartphone!” Snaps Ty Lum(5).

“Lee, we were just worried,” Lin(1) represents the faction of sisters as she smiles. “Keep going. Just think we’re not here.”

Nik chuckles upon hearing that. His eyes briefly follow the seven sisters before he questions, “Would you girls like to accompany me for some shopping a few days later? I’ll tell you the exact date a day before. Until then, you can read the translation books I plan to bring in tomorrow.”

“Shopping?” The seven of them perk up, as Nik points out. “I wanted to bring only one of you since the rest will have the same size, but then I realized it would be rather unfair. Not to mention you guys don’t share the same taste just because you have the fortune of sharing the same faces.”

The seven of them look at each other before Ty Lee frowns. “I think you’re planning something weird. Your aura is all—”

“Hot,” Ty Lat(2) sums up with a word.

“I’m not planning anything weird,” Nik stands from his position, stretching his arms out as he smiles sincerely. “I’m just wondering—what I wouldn’t do to keep you guys happy? It turns out there are only a few things I wouldn’t commit to. Basic stuff like killing someone and the like.”

“What?” Lee blinks.

Nik looks around. “Nothing. I just wanted all of you to know that. The only reason you don’t see me dropping everything to spend every second with all of you and my Fiancees is that I will have to keep on going into different worlds, and other travelers like me may not be as simple as me. And that I need to have a proper structure around me instead of loitering around you guys all the time. But there isn’t a doubt in my heart that I’m fond of your company. And I want more of it. So, Ty Lee, if it isn’t too problematic, I’d like to kiss you and then your sisters. All six of you can channel your annoyance of the fact later during the sparring sessions.”

He grins toothily as Ty Lee’s lips part in shock. She’s kissed Nik before. But she never expected him to breach their sensitive topic so straightforwardly. Then again, how else did she expect Nik to state his wishes honestly while breaching her family territory? Honesty isn’t usually the best policy unless one has a solid foundation, and Nik feels he does.

Ignit stares at the drama with a roll of her eyes, annoyed by the selfish siblings breaching into her training time with Nik. But that’s fine with her. The less Nik trains Lightningbending, the fewer chances Nik has to overtake her fire-given form!

“Wouldn’t it be too much eventually?” Ty Lee hesitates despite wanting to hear similar words for a while. Her relationship was painfully ambiguous after her stubborn act during the journey to the Fire Nation. Things with her sisters and later Regret didn’t help her chances all too well. Yes, she resolved a lot of things, but there were other things left in the air.

But—

“Kurumi, her family, your Fiancees—it will become too much to handle one day.” Ty Lee bites her bottom lip. She tries to remain oblivious to the obvious until it affects her as she questions. “What would I- we do when you’re tired of us? We will get old one day. Can you handle seven old Ty Sisters, if not one?”

Nik nods, “I’ll be old, too. I promise to be with you.”

“I want more than that!” Ty Lee snaps. “I want to be so much more than that. And my sisters want the same! I want you to prioritize me over anyone else! How can you promise such a thing when you’re engaged to so many beautiful and better women?!”

Lin and others slowly look down as Lee grasps their doubts accurately. For trying to set themselves different since the first thing they remember, the Ty Sisters are painfully similar.

“Better?” Nik cock his head sideways. “It’s not about being better than the rest, Ty Lee.” Nik chuckles. “If it was so, none of you would like me. I’m kind of the worst in this situation.”

“No, you’re not,” Ty Lee shakes her head.

“I kind of am,” Nik nods.

“Let’s just agree you are for the sake of the argument,” Woo calmly nods from the sidelines.

Nik snickers under his breath before putting things as is. “I was afraid when I spoke similar things to Katara and Suki. Not to make me a priority or anything, but my desire for them both and the rest.”

“What should we do?” Ty Lee smirks bitterly. “I’m too afraid at this step. It was the same back then, too. I keep pressing into you but lose my nobbin when you reciprocate.”

“Do you want to back off?” Nik questions.

She slowly shakes her head.

“Then I suppose you only have one way to follow, right?” Nik grins, spreading his arms open. “Bring it in!”

Ty Lee’s shoulders tremble as she vibrates in her place, unable to take a step forward or backward.

“Um, Lee? Are you coming?”

Lee looks up, staring at Liu(4) in a daze before watching her sisters practically leap into Nik’s embrace, not sharing the same fears as Lee for once.

Massive he may be, Nik’s frame cannot accept six women smothering him at once as the seventh one groans loudly before smiling.

‘I guess having sisters at times like this isn’t so bad,’ Lee jumps, adding another number to the list of people smothering Nik at once.

‘I should let them take turns before me when the time comes,’ thinks Lee. ‘I can see them and understand everything I need to know before my turn. And with the rest done, he will pay all his attention to me.’
