Daniel felt like he wanted to hear the call over and over again to assure he heard himself wrong, to form any sort of belief that what he heard was false but as the dial tone resonated in his ear he could do nothing but stand in shock before slumping onto his soft cushioned bed. Staring at the blue-flowered wallpaper of the room Daniel could feel his heart tighten and twist but it quickly stopped his face felt hot, but no tears fell. His body simply couldn't do it. He was tired. Stressed. He needed something to take his mind off how he felt he needed an out. Picking up his ROW glasses Daniel slid them immediately falling over as he suddenly saw Kerberos sitting next to him staring at him with his flaming empty eyes while its long dark tongue hung from its mouth as it panted with excitement. Reaching out towards the canine Daniel was glad to see the dog's friendly response, Daniel then realized that he couldn't touch the dog seeing as it was just an image, but he held his hand out almost instinctively. 

Slowly retracting his hand he suddenly felt something pushing against his palm, it was smooth yet uneven almost like a shattered piece of pottery. Looking down he watched as Kerberos pressed his head against Daniel’s hand. Startled Daniel shakily rubbed his hand against the dog's head hoping that he wasn't losing his mind as he felt the dogs warbled and smooth exterior. Soon the dog leapt on top of him licking his face vehemently, laughing and hugging Kerberos Daniel slowly sat up solidly confused but too happy to care. Setting Kerberos to his side Daniel noticed something besides his status bar it was a series of red down arrows that simply hung in the air, tapping the area next to the arrows Daniel read the small tab that came down “[Over encumbered: max item limit has been reached status effect 50% slow is in effect]”. Shocked Daniel stared at Kerberos realizing how the hound had been acting on the last command he gave while he was out and about in the hospital, opening Kerberos's inventory Daniel was stunned by the sheer number of items in his inventory.

Simply staring at the number of items Daniel couldn't help but be amazed at the dog's sheer ability. Grabbing his phone Daniel opened the ROW app watching as a series of notifications stacked before his eyes filling the entire area of his vision. Pulling the glasses off for a second Daniel was dazed by the number of multicolored notifications and messages that were clouding his vision but as he sat calmly in place, he turned to the space behind him. ‘Wait this is my chance’ reaching out his hand slowly Daniel once again felt the smooth uneven surface of Kerberos's skin yet there was nothing there. Daniel watched as his hand moved over the seemingly invisible object before retracting his hand and taking a minute to affirm his sanity. He’d recently seen online and on the news that people were being attacked by invisible creatures, but he simply thought that it was some kind of hoax but as he stared at where Kerberos was laying Daniel couldn't dispute the evidence that was happily laying next to him. ‘HOW?! How is this possible?! This is almost like some lame sci-fi novel how could creatures from a game come into real-life’. Yet as Daniel’s mind was frazzled and rushing to tie loose ends, he noticed how dark it was outside and realized how long he’d stayed in his old house. Putting on his glasses Daniel used follow on Kerberos so the dog wouldn't attack any passing mobs while they went to their new home. Laying in his room Daniel opened the app once again this time taking the time to go down the extensive list of notifications and items he currently had.

Staring at the list Daniel immediately discarded all of Jessica's messages, after finding out she was a gold digger all attraction to her seemed to simply disappear into noting but cynical and sarcastic apathy. Opening the mail tab Daniel simply saw that they were friend requests from Jessica and another user called CH3RRy-B0P6669 immediately deleting the emails Daniel wasn't going to simply talk to some stranger who could just be trying to con him out of some bit points. Yet right as Daniel was about to simply go out and start grinding again, he noticed another message pop up, it was from Jessica. Wanting nothing to do with her Daniel was ready to simply ignore her message when he noticed who the presents sender was. Staring at her name Daniel reluctantly opened the chat box showing the Jessica was online along with the extensive list of messages she’d sent. Immediately closing the chat box Daniel decided to look at the present first before further entertaining Jessica’s already massive ego. Opening the present Daniel found that before him sat a large lump of shredded stone that seemed to have a teal aura glowing around it, tapping the stone Daniel read the description and realized immediately how he shouldn't have expected anything different.

Adding the material into chis inventory Daniel promptly deleted Jessica's chat box but before going through the list of items he forgot to analyze he looked at his calendar to see that tomorrow he had to go to school. Dreading the idea of seeing those who made a fool out of him Daniel reluctantly changed and flopped on his bed staring at the ceiling quietly thinking to myself ‘school and ROW that's all I should focus on. School and ROW’. Slowly closing his eyes Daniel felt Kerberos hop onto the bed and lay over his body the smooth stone radiating a soft heat throughout his body, petting his invisible friend Daniel wondered for a moment ‘I wonder what other creatures have become real’?

The sky was cloudy and dark, the chaotic rumble of thunder roared overhead threatening the idea of rainfall as the student body cautiously marched on prepared to draw their umbrellas in defense of the sky sanctioned torrent of rain. Yet among them a new entity had been crafted instead of running they slowly marched behind the wall of their peers, instead of a smile a constant scowl sat mounted on their face and their clothes once reminiscent of joyous expression now amounted to sloppy composition that could be mistaken as bed wear with a dark hoodie draped over it. As Daniel reached school his gaze was very limited due to the rim of his hood and he was fine with that, he wanted to avoid as much eye contact as possible as he moved on his way to class. That is until he was met by a living barrier as before him stood the imposing Michael Reeves vice-captain of the lacrosse and swim team with a small group of fellow team members behind him. 

Staring at Daniel incredulously Daniel could only feel a mild sense of annoyance burn the edges of his patience as he slowly tuned out Michael's long drawn out speech to which he decided he either wouldn't answer or answer in the most direct way possible to end the conversation as quickly as possible. Though while Daniel was establishing his course of action in his mind, he became unaware of his surroundings immediately shocked as he felt his shoulder roughly shoved backward, awakened from his daze Daniel looked to Michael with an annoyed scowl as the athlete stood furiously in his place. “Hey bro you listening to me I said I want to battle you” Daniel expected this kind of response when he came back to school the fanfare may have died down but as the first person to almost single-handedly take down an entire team he’d have a near-permanent target on his back. Daniel could feel Kerberos nudging at his back trying to walk around Daniel and attack Michael, but he simply held the dog back and passed by them not paying them any mind as he headed to class. 

As he sat in Mr. Margrove's class he noticed that the teacher was not at his desk, for a time Daniel though that Mr. Margrove was incapable of leaving his desk thinking it was the only safe place aside from his house where he could watch porn with no judgment. Though Daniel didn't care for Mr. Margrove all that much he often stared at the female students and was easily aroused casually sitting at his desk trying to hide his more than obvious boner from the class but he was very lax and didn't care for what his class did which made him more than tolerable. Yet as Daniel sat at his desk happily cracking a smile as he strokes Kerberos he watched as a stick of a woman walked in wearing a pale coffee suit and skirt that seemed to be so stiff that it could break with even the smallest bit of motion. 

Daniel watched the substitute take a seat in Mr. Margrove's chair before turning back to Kerberos and continue musing with the hound until someone else walked in. with the squeak of sneakers and the sound of a group of girls laughing Daniel looked up to see a pair of large brown eyes happily staring at him, shocked Daniel tried to look down only to be met with a pair of relatively large perky breasts. Pulling away Daniel felt is hood slide off is head as his shock and fluster quickly died down into a cold sense of annoyance as he felt Jessica’s hand softly release his hood with a seemingly kind smile. 

Daniel could feel his mouth go dry and his palms dampen as he faced Jessica, it was easy to ignore a girl when all you have to do is delete their messages but it was a whole different story when they're directly in front of you especially when you know that they're a gold digger. As Daniel stared at Jessica, he could see her friends behind her laughing incredulously to each other, Daniel knew they were laughing at him ‘oh look at this little virgin, he’s going to bend over backward for Jessica Nah Nah Nah’ or something to that degree. With that sobering thought, Daniel calmed down now only able to see Jessica as nothing more than the ho she was, sitting back in his chair Daniel absentmindedly stroked the mildly agitated Kerberos beside him while he listened to what Jessica had to say.

“Hi um you're David right”

“It’s Daniel” Daniel could feel his teeth clenching as he practically spat out a response

“Oh right sorry well let me introduce myself, I'm Jessica, I don't think we've formally met

“Ok”

“Yeah well I saw that fight you had against the nerds you were pretty cool,” she said while trying to emphasize her breasts as much as she could

“Thanks”

“Well I was thinking maybe we could farm together and do a few raids I mean I might've sent you a friend request over the weekend so”

“I didn't get it”

“Oh well, would you wanna ha-”

Suddenly the bell rang saving Daniel from further dealing with Jessica, since if the conversation continued Daniel might have been tempted to punch her in the mouth. Right as class began and the substitute took attendance Daniel left the class heading to the courtyard to begin grinding to reach level five. Moving to the front of the school Daniel quickly dispatched the group of rats that seemed to be feasting upon the carcass of a dead boar. Slightly disturbed by the sight Daniel couldn't help but feel sick as the carcass looked shockingly real with flaps of torn skin draped over the brutalized stew of blood and intestine that were so chewed up and messy that he couldn't even see it fit to call it that. Though after Daniel killed the rats the corpse didn't disappear instead its body rapidly decayed the flesh turning the black sludge dripping from its slick almost ivory bones before crumbling into a simple pile of ash. Unnerved by the new death animation Daniel wondered if it was a result of some of the creatures becoming real quickly killing a few smaller mobs to affirm his theory. Casually adjusting to the new sight of the creatures dying Daniel noticed something in the distance, rising into the sky was a large thick cloud of black smoke almost reminiscent of a bonfire or an explosion and while he stared on, he could tell that something horrible had just taken place.

News reports flooded the world as reporters of every kind came to detail the seemingly random explosion of the flick wick studio headquarters and data center with many attesting the crime to the extremist hacker groups such as unknown after they announced last week that they were going to truly expose FlickWick studious for their shady dealings. Of 21 people were injured by the blast and shrapnel of the explosives while 24 individuals including Felix Halberd and Trevor Wikman among the deceased. For the following week, people around the world mourned the loss of those who died in the explosion with many of them actively seeking retribution against the hacker group for their transgressions. Yet little of that mattered to Daniel because he had a bigger question “why is ROW still working”? The data center where majority of the code and servers managing ROW was destroyed alongside the headquarters meaning the game should've been down and unusable and yet it still persisted on wards confused and suspicious of the possible implications Daniel made sure to check the news religiously as he continued to farm and he was right to do so. 

Barely even a month after the initial explosion did reports of people being carried off by invisible forces and getting eaten alive start rolling in in droves. people were dying at an astronomical rate and no one could understand the reason why until a video from Taiwan was posted on r/thathappend forum titled ROW is REAL. the video showed as a man was being ripped apart with claw marks all over his clothes until a girl began shouting spells towards the man's direction and when the man was finally free the cameraman held a pair of ROW glasses before the camera showing the slowly decaying carcass of a wolf at the man's feet. The internet exploded from this withe theories spreading like wildfire until it became common knowledge. Real of Wizardry had entered the real world.
