"This is amazing." Still by himself in the room looking through various papers, the guildmaster is surprised. "All of this should have been impossible to get without directly arresting him."

I'm done here so I ignore him and leave through the still open door and head down stairs. I need new clothes but as I look around I see what everyone else is wearing and it seems that everyone is wearing something similar to the leather armor the bad guy I killed was wearing. I head to the relatively empty counter.

"Excuse me. Where do I get armor and clothing?" The clerk looks up.

"Uhmm… You're looking for an armor shop?" I nod and he writes down directions to one that he recommends. I take it and since it is just past my Inn I stop past there and pay for another day.

Eventually I got to a place that looks alot like the weapons shop from yesterday. I open the door and head in, there arent alot of things on display like the last shop. There are only a few armor displays and they are all either heavy metal ones or decorative ones. It's not what I'm looking for but since I got told to come here I leave Stealth and approach the counter to ask. There is no one there so I shout out.

"Hello! Looking for armor." I hear something fall on the ground out of sight and a high pitch yell before a roll of fabric appears rolling on the floor  from behind a wall.

"Sorry about that." A woman with messy hair and a weird look in her eye appears above the roll of fabric. "You surprised me so…" She goes silent once she sees me then quickly approaches me. I quickly pull my dagger out and point it towards her.

"Sorry. Sorry. Hey are you… Are you a beastkin of some kind? What kind are you? I have never seen wings on a foxkin before. I've never really seen many beastkin before though. Is it normal where you come from? I have never seen purple hair or fur before either. Do you need armor? What kind do I get you? Can I design it?" She fires off at me and starts speaking really fast, completely ignoring the dagger aimed at her; she slowly closes the distance. She is weird but I'm not sure if any other armor places are like this, the person at the guild did tell me to come here, I guess I have to put up with it to get armor. I raise the dagger and aim it at her face.

"I'm here for clothes and armor that I can wear with my wings and tail. Calm down and stay away from me. I will answer any questions you have. Slowly."

She pauses again when she sees the dagger at her face but when she hears me out she takes a deep breath and calms down. I lower it again but keep it on hand.

"Sorry. Working in a town like this I don't get to work with very many beastkin. Especially ones with obvious traits like yours. So you're here for armor. What kind and how much are you willing to spend?"

It seems like she has settled now so I tell her. "I'm more of a Scout than a Warrior but I do both. I'd like light armor that doesn't make noise. I'm willing to spend as much as needed." She smiles.

"An open ended contract then, how exciting. If you want the best of the best it will take a few days but I can manage something close with the surrounding materials if you give me a day. When do you want it?"

"Tomorrow is fine."

"Ok. I'll need to take measurements and you'll need to make some Magic Fiber but I can do it for… maybe 17000 Rans. It's a bit more than normal but I don't have any existing design for someone like you so it includes that. On that note I'd also like half upfront because I need to gather the materials and if you run off no one is going to buy armor that suits a winged foxkin."

“Fine.” I take out the money. “How do I make Magic Fiber?”

“Oh sorry, old habits die hard. You used to have to make it yourself but now all you have to do is pour your magic power into a storage device and I'll make it for you.” She goes out back for a second before coming back and handing me a metal box.

“This?”

“Yeah. You just need to pour a little bit of magic power into it and I'll do the rest.”

Hmmm, I didn't know how to pour magic power before but when I got the Water Magic skill it gave me some information. Now that I think about when I'm doing Magic Lockpicking I'm technically pouring miniscule amounts of magic power.

I grab the box that is handed to me and focus on it like I do with lockpicking…. Woah. Uhhhh. It's different. When I'm looking at a Magic Lock it's like looking at a ball of yarn in a blank space but it seems it's a box in a blank space except the box's mechanism is weird. It's hazy on the outside but firm on the inside. I pour my magic into it and it slowly penetrates the box. Once I stop focusing it seemingly evaporates but as I pour in it slowly gets more dense inside the box. Once transparency gets to about half she calls out to me.

“That should be enough. Are you ok? You seemed a little too focused on it.”

“First time…”

“First time pouring magic power?”

“Kinda.”

“Whatever. Everything's good to go. Come back tomorrow afternoon and everything should be ready!”

I nod and leave. When I leave the building I realize I don't have anything to do, I freeze a little before remembering the Quest skill. If I don't have anything to do the skill probably has something that it recommends.

Hmmm. I thought I had to choose between those quests earlier but it seems that I can do it now. Although the difficulty has gone up, that's probably because the guild has either started making moves on him already, he found out what they have acquired or he found out I stole his stuff. Speaking of which I transfer all of my possessions excluding the cheap magic bag Marvo sold me in the Void Bracelet. I'll put some dummy stuff in the magic bag later. I think from what I learned from Marvo and the lady at the Inn is that people judge you based on what they can see. I should always have a weapon equipped so I am not treated as easy prey but not enough that bad guys don't target me. I don't know why but I really want to continue hunting them.

I'll try to get more information on those methods tomorrow. It seems it's getting dark so I'll ask the information uncle tomorrow. For now… It's time to kill the lord.

This a short and boring chapter but the next two are really fun. Thanks for reading everyone :)
