I woke up gasping for air. frantically searching to see where I was. Forcing myself to calm down as I noticed the familiar surroundings. I was in my room in the place that I now consider my safe place.

A single ray of light came through the windows illuminating my room. Giving me a perfect view of my sweat soaked bed.

The sheets were sticking to the mattress just like how my shirt was sticking to my body.  If I didn’t know any better, I wet my bed, but I did know better. It wasn’t because it was a hot night or anything.

The hidden village was one of the most comfortable places I have ever lived in. during the day time the giant trees in the village between the skyscrapers provided us shade from the sun’s harsh rays and during the night the various river canals scattered throughout the city cool down the ground.

While the water that has been evaporated throughout the day condenses as fine mist blanketing the entire village making the night time of the village feel like it’s under a small air conditioner.

"ahh'

"That stupid vision, just wtf was that, it felt so real. “I thought to myself as I laid back on the bed putting my hand over my eyes.

I haven’t been able to get it out of my head ever since last night.

The screams and the dead bodies kept on haunting me in my dream. their hands latching onto my body trying to drag me down into the ground.

A shiver went through my spine.

Shaking my head, I did my best to lock those memories in the back of my mind.

Deciding enough was enough I turned my head sideways to look at the circular seal on the wall that showed the time. it was barely 6;30 Am.

I could already hear the village coming to life. the sound of the river moving which the only thing that was previously being heard was slowly being drowned out by the hustle and bustle of the villagers.

I could hear the merchants shouting out prices on top of their lungs trying to attract customers into their stores

"THE BEST RICE GRAINS IN TOWN AT FOR ONLY 10 RYO A BAG"

"COME FIND THE BEST WEAPON IN TOWN"

"sigh"

"Just let me sleep some more. Do they have to start this early?" I thought to myself

Rolling out of the bed reluctantly I walked towards the bathroom to get myself ready for the day.

Today was going to be an important day for me. It was going to be my first day trying to actively better myself to be the best version of myself that I could be.

At least that is the plan.

After washing my face and brushing my teeth. I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs to make some food for myself. Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day.

To my surprise, there was already an omelette and some toast on a plate. There was even a note beside it.

" Have a good day. your dad and I are going to the restaurant now. there is some money in the drawer. DON’T USE IT ALL ON RAMEN. love mom"

I couldn't help but smile as I read it. I have been truly blessed to have such a caring family. I had never experienced such a thing in my past life as I was open.

A bubbly feeling rose inside my heart as I thought about my family. They were without a doubt my most treasured thing in my new life. I would do anything for them.

Some might argue that I’m over exaggerating. For all of those people, I would ask them one thing.

what would you do if something you yearned for all your life suddenly presented itself to you?

Wouldn’t you latch on to it as tightly as you could?

Ask any orphan what want in life more than anything. I’m sure the majority of them would reply with one word. Family.

With a goofy smile on my face, I sat down at the dining table ready to wolf down the food.

I wanted to go to the library before it becomes packed with people.

"itadakimasss" I said out loud as I clapped my hands and started devouring the food in front of me. Almost choking on the hard toast.

Finishing my food. I washed the plate and went out of the house making sure to close the door behind me.

what greeted me was a street filled with people going to and from their workplace. All busy with their everyday life.

" SWEESH"

I heard the wind being cut from above. I looked up just in time to see two black blurs passing over me with extreme speed.

Gravity didn’t seem to have any effect on them as they lithely jumped over from one building to another with the grace of a grasshopper.

"That looks so cool" I thought to myself.

I could not help but smile when I fantasized myself one day doing that. Feeling good about myself I started to walk towards the central area.

It was where the library was located. Even from a distance, I could see the beautiful red dome of the library. However, what surprised me the most was that no one seemed to mind that a six year old was just walking around without any supervision.

I guess different universe different rules. this place literally has child soldiers after all. Why would they care about children walking alone.

while I was on the way there I saw kids at the academy practicing the katas for the taiutsues. some even had a leaf on their forehead for some weird reason.

"huh must be some meditation trick to control chakra better"  I thought to myself.

. It was at times like these I cursed my lack of knowledge about the Naruto universe. I only knew little bits and pieces of what happens because people in my discord group wouldn’t shut up about it.

They were always discussing how strong this jutsu was or how op that bloodline was. It had gotten so bad that I muted the whole group all together.

How I wish I haven’t done that now. I guess regret is a hard pill to swallow.

Thankfully I knew about the major events that are going to take thanks to a few fanfictions I read unless my birth created a butterfly effect that rendered all of my future knowledge useless that is.

Every action does create an equal but opposite reaction after all.

Taking in the scenery of the city as I walked at a comfortable speed if finally arrived at my destination.

The building I was standing Infront of could only be described as an architectural marvel.  Unlike the rest of the village which was filled with high-rise buildings.

The library was a ginormous place that closely resembled something you would find in ancient Greece. The huge white pillars at the front were so big that they seem to be built to hold the sky. The red glass dome looked like a gem due to how sparkly it was.

However, the most eye catching thing was the intricate kanji characters that were engraved into the walls and dome of the building. I had no doubt that these were part of a big sealing matrix.

After a minute or so of admiring the beauty of the place in front of me.

I decided to enter the building like the hundreds of people going in and out of the library. the inside was filled with thousands of bookshelves. Each packed to the brim with books going back as far as my eye could see.

"What is going on?”

“ why is it so big on the inside?" I thought to myself.

Sure, the building looked big from the outside but it was most certainly not as big as it looks from the inside.

It was as if the entire space was multiplied 10 times the actual size of the building.

"How is this possible?" I whispered in awe. My brain trying to process what i was seeing.

"First time coming to the library?" came a voice from behind me.

I turned around to see who it was. behind me was a tall man with long red hair that reached his shoulders.

He was wearing a grey vest and had a katana on his back but the most noticeable thing about him was the forehead protector he wore. It had a spiral engraved on it.

"An uzu ninja" I thought to myself.

"Ahem. you know, it’s rude to ignore someone who is talking to you"

that seemed to snap me out of my thoughts.

"ahhah yes, it’s my first time here. Ne Ne Mr ninja san why is it so big inside?"

I asked the smiling man in front of me.

his smile seems to widen even more when I asked him that.

"Why don’t you tell me why "

I felt myself pouting a little as I being to wonder how this was possible trying to remember everything I could about the whirlpool village. It then hit me.

" How could I forget about such an obvious thing. the answer was right Infront of me this whole time. What was the Uzumaki most famous for? SEALS. the engraved kanji characters on the walls. it all made sense now."

"Is it a seal? are the kanji characters engraved on the walls the reason for this? “I asked the man

His eyes widened a little bit as I asked him that. Clearly, he did not expect such a serious answer from what clearly looked like a civilian kid.

"Yeah... cleaver little one aren't you? he said with a smile as he ruffled my hair.

"It’s just an expansion seal"

"But how? do the other villages have seals like this too ninja san?" I asked

"They don't. I'm afraid this is just an Uzumaki specialty. Also call me Sato instead of ninja san." he said with a proud look on his face. It clearly showed he was proud of his village.

That made sense. I never heard of something called expansion seals in Naruto before. Expansion jutsus yes but never expansion seals. that sounded like something straight out of harry potter story.

I guess runes and seals are kind of like the same thing. I always wanted thought newt scammanders suitcase was cool. the man had a mini zoo inside of his suitcase for pete sake. Definitely going to learn fuinjustue now so I can recreate that.

"So, what are you doing here? normally squirts like you would be running around playing ninja in the playground" Mr Sato asked me.

" I’m just trying to learn some cool ninja techniques before i go to the academy" i replied. feeling smug that I’m not like the other snotty brats.

Damn underdevelopedbrain. I’m a 27-year-old dude......why am I feeling proud about this. For fucks sake.

"aah that might be a small problem...only academy students and ninjas get access to the ninja section of the library."

"Wait what...why?"...." I asked my mind reeling from what he just told me.

"Yeah, civilians are banned from entering the ninja section" he repeated.

"some civilian tried to make explosive tags to sell and ended up blowing himself up in the process. After that incident the Uzukage decided only people with special ids can enter the ninja section" Mr Sato explained.

" But I want to get a head start on everyone. The kids from the ninja families probably already started practicing so why can’t I? It’s not fair" I argued.

people were beginning to look at me as I started raising my voice. not even 10 mins in I already broke the most sacred rule of all the libraries in the multiverse. always maintain pin-drop silence in a library.

"Calm down kid" he said as he put his hand on my head.

"Life is not fair, today it might not be fair to you. Tomorrow it might not be fair for someone else. We just have to look at the bright side of things.

Sure you can’t learn justues and seals right now. But there is so much more that you can learn. You could learn the proper katas for taijutsu.

You could train your body and aim. you could even learn about the history of the elemental nation. Remember this kid. There is no such thing as useless information. Only people that don’t know how to use it"

I was lost for words and could not refute a single thing he said. I got too caught up in the ninja hype I forgot about the two thing that sets me apart from everyone else. my knowledge and my gifts.

"anyway see ya. I got a princess to babysit" he said as he turned back with a small wave.

pffffftttttt

I couldn’t help but giggle.

"What princess...he is probably talking about his sister. Here I thought ninjas were masters of deception" shaking my head I started walking towards what appeared to be the librarian.

she was a sweet elderly looking old woman who was sitting at a table high enough to oversee everything that was going on.

I may not be able to find any books about chakra but I’ll take a leaf out of Mr Satos book and continue learning about the things i can right now. taijutsu books here I come.
