“Elly!” Keira exclaimed in excitement. 

System 999: [Host!] 

Hearing Elly’s voice again let out relief in her heart. She didn’t understand why she felt a deep connection to this system even though she was a little suspicious of the concept of ‘systems’ themselves. Maybe it was due to the years that System 999 and Keira had together that she felt this way, or perhaps there is an underlying reason. 

Keira: [How come you were late again?]

System 999: [I… also can’t fully explain it Host.]

Keira began to grow suspicious of her system. 

Keira: [What do you mean, you can't fully explain ‘it’? Does it have anything to do with the main system?]

System 999: [No, it's just that when I also tried entering this world, it felt like an invisible force was trying to stop me from entering.] 

Keira: [What?]

System 999: [It’s as I said Host.]

Keira: [But how come I didn’t feel anything when my soul transferred?]

Keira only felt the usual vertigo when she enters a new world, and before she knows it, she had already entered a new body. 

System 999: [I also don’t know Host. But that existence is weak that I was able to bypass it in just a few hours.] 

Keira: [Perhaps, the same thing happened in the previous world that's why you were also a little bit late. Nonetheless, we should be careful. If the main system could not detect this ‘existence’ then maybe this ‘existence’ is also the reason why I was brought back to the first world.]

System 999 was astounded by its Host evaluation of the current situation. System 999 sometimes forgets that its Host is smart due to its Host ‘unique’ personality. 

Keira: [Let’s talk about this later, buy me a cheap potion that could cure anemia. I still feel incredibly dizzy and don’t want to waste time going to the hospital.] 

System 999: [Okay!] 

[One potion was purchased from the system shop. 80 points were deducted from your balance.] 

[Remaining balance: 16,960] 

Keira removed the cap of the potion that appeared on her hand, directly drinking it straight from the vial. Instantly, her complexion improved. Now that she thought about it, although she went to the bathroom to dress her wounds, she didn’t get to take a good look in the mirror at her appearance as she was extremely dizzy and fatigued. 

Keira stood up feeling refreshed from sleeping all day. She went back to the bathroom and looked directly at the mirror. What caught her off guard was that— 

‘Oh my god! What am I looking at?!’ 

Her almond eyes, perfectly long nose, long lashes, pink pump lips, rosy cheeks, and long black hair… Looked exactly like her physical appearance from her real body!

Keira: [Elly, I am not looking at a photo of my real body back at home right?] 

System 999: [Yes Host, I could confirm that (・∀・)] 

“Then what the fuck is this?!” 

Keira was so bewildered that she didn’t talk directly to Elly from her consciousness. Keira even pointed towards the mirror but the mirror only copied her movements, signifying that this was indeed not a picture. 

System 999: [I don’t see the issue Host? Won’t having a similar body to your original body makes it easier to work with as you are already familiar with it?] 

System 999 could not see the problem. Even though they looked uncannily similar that the system could almost not point out any difference.

“You don’t get it Elly! Although I could act as these ‘characters’ that you forced me into. Seducing the male lead with a body that looked the same as you still feels extremely weird and wrong!” 

Envisioning it made Keira shiver from the cringe. She could not let her beautiful appearance be used to woo others. People should be the ones wooing her not the other way around! 

System 999: [But Host, aren’t we trying to escape this world? Why do you have to ‘woo’ anyone?] 

Keira: [Oh, you have a point.] 

System 999: [ (・∀・) ] 

“Either way, I would just avoid the male lead of this world. We don’t need to interact with him anyways to go to the next world.” 

Keira felt that facing the male lead would only cause more problems for her than being advantageous. Besides, seeing Aster from the last world lose his sanity from her passing, Keira didn’t dare risk sneaking a peek at the male lead of this world if he also act the same. 

The ‘pure’ Aster that blackened confined her. Keira didn’t want to imagine how the sweet yet aloof male lead of this world would do if he indeed blackened just like Aster. 

‘Perhaps he would even chain me up at home just to prevent me from leaving.’ 

Just imaging raised the hairs on the back of her neck. Getting rid of those thoughts, Keira brought her focus back to the matters at hand. 

Keira: [Elly, what do we need to do in order to proceed to the next world?] 

System 999: [According to the information that the main system sent, we need to find a certain person that has the ability to link us to the next world.]

Keira: [What? It’s a person this time? What's more, that person has the ability to link us to the next world?] 

System 999: [Indeed. That person is a ‘master’.]

Keira: [A master?] 

System 999: [Yes, very few people study the art of mystics in this world. It is said that this art could perform the impossible and they are usually called the mystic masters or ‘masters’ in short. And the person we are seeking is the most skilled among all of the mystic users.]

Keira: [How is it possible for a human to break the law of this world and allow us to transcend space and time?] 

System 999: [The main system didn’t say anything further, and only gave me this information.] 

Keira paused for a moment to analyze what her system had just said. It seems like this world was not ordinary despite the fact that this is a modern world that is similar to her world. 

‘Maybe, things like mystic masters also exist in my world.’ Keira could not help but ponder on that thought.
