I opened the map and looked at my location. I was on the Russian border. Now I had to go to Murmansk, a long way from here. The weather had already changed; It was even colder.
But I'll not decrease my flying height because I feared some Russian radar would detect me.
"The death count is not increasing, so that meant I'm not late."
I put my cell phone in my pocket and then flew on again using all my speed. I will arrive in Murmansk in less than an hour.
I was flying so fast that everything was blurred. I couldn't see anything. The only thing I could notice was that many of the regions I was flying over were covered in snow.
"I hope I don't freeze before I get there." I should have put on even better clothes. But I didn't know I would have to fly over Russia, so I didn't buy suitable clothes for this weather.
"I could have stopped somewhere to shop, couldn't I?" Whatever...

The monsters continued to advance rapidly, and the snow diminished. In the distance, they could see signs of civilization—a five-story building.
Breaking some trees in the way, they finally reached a road.
The monster ahead, which was the tallest monster with the most grotesque appearance, stopped and prevented the group from going any further. Then it turned to the monsters and nodded as if passing on some information to them.
Then the group of 50 monsters split up. 25 monsters went ahead, and the rest followed the road. The first group will probably reach a residential neighborhood, and the monsters that follow the road could reach the city's entrance.
You can't tell what that monster, who seemed to be the leader, was thinking, but maybe it had a plan.

In a room somewhere in Russia, two soldiers looked at a large screen. It was as quiet as ever, but suddenly a UFO was detected flying over the country.
It was an unidentified object flying faster than a jet.

"I don't know..." The other soldier looked back, where several other men were perplexed. After, they all went back to using their computers.
"I'll contact headquarters. We need to shoot down whatever that is."
"Do you think that will be necessary? It has invaded our airspace, but it doesn't look like it has our country as a target." The younger soldier who was sitting down said.
"Still, we have to do something about it. I'll contact headquarters immediately to have them send some jets to shoot down whatever that thing is." The man looked again at the red dot flying rapidly across his country.

I was already approaching Murmansk. I thought it would be snowing, but it wasn't. The snow was a little high, but it was not an amount that would get in the way of anyone's life.
But as I imagined, the cold is almost unbearable. My skin was aching as the wind whipped across my face. My lips were dry, and I could no longer feel my fingers despite wearing a glove.
But I didn't weaken and kept going. I flew quickly to the middle of the city, and after getting there, I find on a large street that was quite busy. I thought there would be fewer people here.
"The buildings in this place look pretty old." It had dawned a short time ago, and clouds covered the sky, making the city dark. I could see a lot of lights on in the windows of the buildings.
Also, the number of cars around here was quite large.
"Fortunately, everything is normal around here." I started looking around and saw a giant statue in the distance. I wanted to know who it was; it was someone important. Around it was vegetation, not a single house.
It even looks like a sacred place like those Japanese temples on mountains. The city also had a big river with its surface frozen. There was nothing else here but that.

And I had to do something fast since they were very close to reaching the first populated area of the city.

Yet no one had noticed the approach of the monsters.
