Since the residents hadn't seen me yet, I decided to do everything quickly before anyone saw me. The monsters also didn't notice me.

I quickly flew towards them. The monster ahead noticed me too late; my fist had already hit its snout. Its bull face was completely disfigured.

My hand was covered with Ki, so I felt no pain. The only thing I felt was a weak impact.

With one of its companions having its head almost destroyed, all the monsters noticed my presence and became noisy. They roared. I could feel their anger emanating from their bodies.

But since none of them could fly, I felt calm and flew over their heads.

Now that their attention was on me, I began to fly to the opposite side of the city, and the monsters started to follow. They completely forgot their goal, which was to destroy the city.

I came to an open area full of trees. Some trees were broken, and only a tiny amount of snow was on the ground. All 24 monsters were there, looking at me like idiots.

"What? Can't you fly?" I said to tease them.

After my words, the monsters finally made an intelligent move: to start picking up big rocks and even whole trees to throw in my direction.

I started dancing through the air while avoiding the larger objects. Some rocks hit me at high speed but shattered as soon as they hit me. It was all repelled by the protection around my body.

"But I can't just stand here and do nothing." I flew toward one of the monsters. The monster was getting ready to throw an entire tree in my direction. I wasn't fast enough, so the monster threw the tree.

But I easily avoided it and hit the monster directly in the chest. I felt every bone in the monster's body break. It was killed instantly. The shockwave that my kick caused stunned the monsters around me.

I took this opportunity to start throwing "wild" punches at nearby monsters. My fists were moving so fast that I began to feel like a master of martial arts.

I was hitting ten punches per second into the stomachs and chests of monsters.

The impact of each punch was so strong that their bodies were shattered into pieces with my punching sequences. Their stomachs were ripped open, and they all spit blood in my direction.

I ended up creating a war field. The snow was painted red, and the remaining monsters were reluctant to continue the fight. But as if someone was controlling them, they strangely ran towards me.

It was as if they didn't know what they were doing and were just suicidal monsters.

I managed to deal with them in a few minutes. My whole body had been covered with the monsters' thick blood. It was extremely disgusting and stinky. The smell was similar to the smell of an old garbage can. They seemed to be rotten inside.

"But what about this mess?" I had deactivated the ability of ki and was now walking on monster blood all over the ground: bodies and blood within a radius of 50 to 100 meters.

"They'll probably find that at some point. I better get out of here before someone sees me." I looked toward the city, and it didn't look like anyone was coming in this direction. I activated my ability again and flew away, disappearing among the clouds.

But something was strange.

"Since I killed the monsters, I should get a notification from the system, shouldn't I?"

[ Humans deads: 268/9000 ]

[ Humans deads: 269/9000 ]

[ Humans deads: 279/9000 ]

Several notifications began to appear. They weren't the notifications I expected, though. I felt my heart stop momentarily, but I quickly regained my senses and flew back to where I had fought the monsters.

When I arrived at the place, I found the same scene I had left. No monsters had come back to life, and no monsters were left. "So probably..." There are more monsters elsewhere in the city.

I clenched my fists and flew to the city center again. I arrived there in less than a minute, but no monsters were around. But  I noticed that something was happening.

People started to come and hide inside the buildings and stores, and cars seemed to be running away. And then, in the distance, I noticed a structure of almost three stories collapsing.

A giant curtain of dust went up. I flew over quickly, and the system notifications kept popping up.

"Damn, this is bad." I looked around and noticed that the monsters were everywhere. They had split into small groups. Each group was attacking a building. They were breaking the walls as if they were made of cardboard.

Many houses were already wholly destroyed, and some bodies were under pools of blood in the streets.

I felt very angry with the monsters and myself for letting so many people die. I should have looked for the monsters more carefully. I would have seen these monsters if I had looked all over the city.

"But didn't I fly here? I remember flying over this place." It was on the other side of town, the opposite side where the group of 25 monsters was. "But that doesn't matter. I have to take care of this."

Disappearing from the spot I was in, I hit the ground. The ground below my feet cracked. I landed near a couple who were severely injured. The man had lost his leg, and the woman had suffered severe injury to her stomach and chest.

The man was still alive, but the woman was probably dead.

The man was moaning in pain and couldn't speak, but I could see in his eyes that he wanted me to save the woman, probably his wife or girlfriend. So I tried to help.

"Even if she is alive, I don't know if it will be enough. Still, I will try." I told the man. A smile appeared on his face. After, he lost consciousness but was still breathing.

'Okay, how does Rias do it?'
