Since the lore isn't as heavy this chapter, I'd like to discuss the protagonist and my thoughts on them.
Tldr: their arrogance is their defining trait, I have two questions about them. One what's their name and two why do they want a harem? And I really want to see how they grow. Now on to the essay,
Now when I say what I'm about too, I do not think this is a flaw in the writing as it stands now, rather it could be a massive boon depending on how its handled, and is a big part of the reason that recent developments have been so interesting... so onto my thesis,
OH MY GOD THE PROTAGONIST IS SO PUNCHABLE. I WANT TO SEE THEM TAKE A MASSIVE L AND GROW FROM IT.
Like we know basically nothing about our protagonist, not even their actual name, but from minute 1 of the story our protagonist has had the powers of a god, and I'm not sure if its intentional, but they come off like its sorta gone to their head. They have good looks, status, and power and they like to flaunt it. I've quoted this line from their inner monologue about their alter ego Midas in another comment, but I'll put it here again
"Plus, it feels damn good to act like the mysterious strong and rich stranger."
They revel in it, they really do. Almost every action they take and every line of dialogue reeks of arrogance. It doesn't help that all of this is basically stolen. The good looks and status are from og rosanna, and they're literally copying Yuri's methods for their power. The only thing they really did themselves is earn money, but even then that was kick started with the magic stone which they got from their magic power. This alone makes them pretty punchable, but to add on top of it they've also done some pretty bad stuff.
There is a certain trend with our protagonist's evil deeds, they always try and sneak in some good like their trying to justify themselves. When they start a brothel so they can sell their enemy's bodies to some pretty messed up people, they justify it by making jobs with for the poor. When they lie to a noble family to get an ingredient they need, they give them a little advice. I don't know why, but it comes off slightly ingenious to me.
Like for example going back a few chapters with the hiring process in the brothel. At least to me, The poor girl with not many alternatives came off as kinda hesitant to sell their body when given an option not too, and our protagonist basically instantly jumped to planning the auction to sell their virginity. Of course these good aspects are supposed to make us the audience root for them, but without that meta element it makes it seem like they're at least on a subconscious level going 'the bad stuff I'm doing is fine because some good is coming from it'. This makes what's coming REALLY interesting. How will our protagonist react when their is no way to justify their actions and they are shown to be in the wrong? Will they lash out relying on their power because they can't win the battle of morality? Will they just give in? Will they try to make things right?
Changing gears a bit, but still on the topic of exploring their character I have the question of 'why do they want a harem?'. I feel this question when answered would say a LOT about them as a person. I think a majority, maybe not an overwhelming majority, but still a majority of people in real life have a preference for monogamy and even the thought of cheating/being cheated on is repulsive, so why does the protagonist's view break the mold? What makes them want many wives? Do they want to have a lot of descendants? Do they feel too much lust to hold it in to one person? Do they just like the idea/status of having a bunch of beautiful women pining for them? Is it because they've been iseakied and they feel obligated to make one because its a troupe? A lot of harems have the protagonist be dense/unaware of the harem because if you answer the question of why they want the harem wrong they can come off as kinda scummy, however this story travels a path that's slightly less traveled so I feel this question needs to be asked and answered. No matter the answer, it can lead to some interesting places for the plot to go.
I agree on most of the things with you, and I will probably stop reading this novel when the harem thing comes to play.
@M130 I think the harem aspect could be deconstructed brilliantly in this story though, especially when Annie gets their own arc. At the very least, I imagine its gonna become ammunition for whoever is leaving the coded messages
@M130 the harem isn't gonna be like the massive ones you see in a lot of books, at most it'll have three people. for now, I only have two in mind Annie and one more girl.

In all seriousness, that puts an interesting spin on things. I was honestly expecting the princess to be in the harem since what went down when our protagonist kidnapped Ralia and the prince, (also after rereading that chapter, Ralia should have a lot to say about this whole possession thing going on in the current chapters. Protag straight up pretended to be a body snatching demon) but a demon could be a lot more interesting. I hope it isn't the easy lust demon succubus choice, make it wacky and interesting like a wrath demon given physical form for the first time or the whole ass demon tower.
A third romantic interest could really add another dimension to Annie's arc. Personally I hope the demon's introduction becomes a sh*t show. Wouldn't be surprised if Rosanna's parents weren't to happy about protag just picking up another girl when they have Annie.
@Afewconcepts65 also on the demon note there is actually 2 more sins that got cut out of the seven deadly sins thing that might be interesting to play around with, despair and vainglory(this one got changed to pride, but the nuances are slightly different. Vainglory basically means vanity nowadays.) Maybe those demon towers have a tower master obsessed with looking good eh eh? C'mon that tower definitely belongs in the harem
