Chapter 55

Freya's hatred for Aurora burned deep within her soul. She had been planning her revenge ever since she regained her memories of being brutally murdered by Aurora. She had been able to gain her memories for some reason she couldn't point out exactly even after possessing the knowledge of her past self, but it was something related to dark magic for sure residing deep within her soul. Freya had been in the perfect state to awaken her memories since selection rounds, filled with rage and a burning desire for retribution.

As she stood in the dimly lit room, the ropes that bound Aurora to the chair creaked under her struggle. Freya's lips twisted into a sadistic smile as she approached her victim with a gleaming knife.

"You deserve death, you monster!" Aurora sprang out, her voice dripping with venom and disgust.

"Oh, but I have much more to accomplish before I meet my end again," Freya purred, tracing the tip of the knife along Aurora's cheek. "And you, my dear, will be the one to suffer for your crimes."

Freya relished in the fear that shone in Aurora's eyes as she began to torture her, slowly and methodically. She revelled in the cries of pain that escaped Aurora's lips, each one a sweet symphony to her ears.

As the hours passed, Freya grew more and more frenzied, her blood lust consuming her. She had planned to make Aurora's death slow and painful, but as she looked upon the broken and battered body of her enemy, she found her face turning sour as she realised she was being too hasty.

Freya stood in front of Aurora, a malicious glint in her eyes as she clutched a sharp object in her hand.

"Do you remember now, Aurora?" Freya spat out the words, her voice dripping with hatred. A hint of delusion clouds Freya's mind,

Aurora looked at her with a mixture of fear and confusion in her eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about. Please, just let me go."

Freya chuckled darkly. "Oh no, my dear Aurora. You're not going anywhere. Not until you pay for what you've done."

She moved closer to Aurora, pressing the sharp object against her skin. "You killed me, Aurora. You took everything away from me. And now, I'm going to do the same to you."

Aurora's eyes widened in horror as Freya began to slice into her skin, relishing in the cries of pain that escaped Aurora's lips. She would make Aurora pay, no matter what it took.

Aurora really wouldn't know something that was supposed to happen in the future; how could she know that this bitch who was torturing her right now was a regressed being or, more like, had gained the memories of her old life?

After several hours of torture, Freya was finally satisfied with the pain she inflicted upon Aurora. Aurora's body was covered in bruises and cuts, and she was barely conscious. Freya stood over her with a cruel smile on her face.

"You should have killed me when you had the chance, Aurora," Freya hissed. "Now you will suffer for the rest of your miserable life. I will make sure that every day is a living hell for you. You will beg for death, but it will never come." She had probably lost control over her and let delusion take control of her due to her immense hatred for Aurora. She was spouting such nonsense. Freya was already struggling hard with controlling her dark element aura but now intense emotions about her past life were making her act impulsively, had she calmed down, Freya would have never made such a reckless move as this, she knew full well what Aurora's ability could do.

With a satisfied nod, Freya turned and walked away, leaving Aurora alone and broken on the ground. Aurora's fate was sealed, and she knew that she would never be able to escape the grasp of Freya and her wrath.

Just like that, several days passed.

As the political intrigue event approached, Ellis continued to train diligently in the use of her technique [Cosmic Harmony]. She had made significant progress, having cleared the foundations of the technique and beginning to align her aura's rhythm with that of the cosmos. Despite the difficulty of the process, Ellis remained determined, and it wouldn't be long before she reached stage 2.

Meanwhile, tensions were rising between the major factions as the current student council president declared her resignation. The event promised to be a chaotic and tumultuous affair, with various groups vying for power and influence. Despite her focus on her training, Ellis couldn't help but feel drawn into the political machinations, knowing that she would inevitably be caught up in the fray.

She had to make the best of it after all.

------------

Alice, the previous student council president and a main heroine, has resigned from her position and gone back to her home for some emergencies.

The political intrigue at the Aura Academy was at an all-time high as the various factions fought for the position of student council president. The demon loyalists, led by their charismatic leader, were determined to secure the position for one of their own. They used underhanded tactics, such as spreading rumours and bribing other students, to try and sway the vote in their favour.

The humanists, on the other hand, were determined to keep the position within their own ranks. Their leader, a noble, was a skilled politician who knew how to play the game. She worked tirelessly to gather support from her fellow humanists and other neutral parties.

The elf traditionalists, led by the elegant and poised Zoran, were determined to preserve the traditions of their people. They believed that an elf should hold the position of student council president and worked to gather support from their own ranks and from other elf students.

The Beast Alliance, a newly formed group made up of various beastfolk, was also in the running for the position. The leader, a fierce and confident wolf beastfolk, was determined to prove that beastfolk were just as capable of holding leadership positions as any other race.

As the election drew near, tensions continued to rise as each faction worked to gather support and secure the coveted position. It was anyone's game, and only time would tell who would emerge victorious.

As the political intrigue at Aura Academy heated up with various factions vying for the position of student council president, Ellis found herself in a prime position to benefit from the chaos. She wanted to benefit from her knowledge of the future here. She had been missing out on many things in her life due to her special circumstances, but here at the academy, she had more freedom, and it was also weird that Freya was not messing with her either, but it still gave her what she wanted.

Knowing that openly declaring her intentions and aligning with any particular faction would only bring her unnecessary attention and possibly even backlash, Ellis decided to operate covertly, as she didn't want anyone to know about her so early. She began gathering information on each of the factions, keeping track of their strengths, weaknesses, and any potential allies or enemies they might have.

'Alright! Let's do this.' With determination, Ellis went out.
