My Life Is In Danger As I Expected!

In the office of the Mouri Detective Agency, five hours later, Kogoro Mouri sat with two of his new lovers, his latest client, his wife, as well as her assistant.

They just finished the legal matters, and they continued to have small talk to ease the tension from the meeting.

The result was the foundation of their own talent agency, aptly dubbed as Rising Star. The two artists would be Yuko Ikezawa and himself!

When he said it at first, all the women in the room raised their eyebrows, looking skeptical. None more so than Eri, the one who knew him the most. Then he started singing a ballad, and all the doubts were swept away!

Eri was gobsmacked. She didn’t know Kogoro could sing so well! When asked, Kogoro just said he often felt lonely, so to cheer himself up, he sang love songs all the time.

Touched by his confession, Eri discreetly took his hand in hers.

Then they decided on the head of the agency, and instead of directly outsourcing for talent, they chose Hinata. With her divorce coming up, she didn’t have much to do. She was frankly underqualified, she told them herself. However, she was the one with the most connections in the room, so it sort of made up for her lack of experience handling an entertainment related business.

Finally, Eri’s law firm would be the one handling all their contracts. Her reputation as the Queen of the Courtroom was definitely a big deterrent to their enemy.

With the details all hashed out, Kogoro excused himself for a smoke, giving the ladies the time to get to know each other better.

‘And it worked! Sort of. I think they see me as some kind of mutual enemy now’ He immediately noticed their stink eyes on him the moment he came back.

“Anyway, let’s end it here for now! If new problems come up, we will set up a meeting in the new office.”

Hinata, Rukia, and Yuko left the office together. Miss Kuriyama took her time, but eventually left by herself.

Only Kogoro and Eri were left, and without a preamble, she grabbed his ear, and twisted it hard!

“Gah!! Itetetetete- Stop it, Eri, stop twisting it! I know I’m wrong, whatever I did, I’m sorry, okay?” Kogoro tapped her arms, signaling defeat.

Satisfied with his surrender, Eri crossed her arms and pouted like a little girl. Seeing this, Kogoro was moved and took her in his embrace.

“Let’s go back upstairs first. Ran should have come back an hour ago, and you can bring all of your belongings back tomorrow! I can accept you being busy, but I can’t accept living without you!” He passionately declared. But he could tell by Eri’s terrifying gaze that it didn’t fully work. Her response confirmed his dread.

“Then should I also bring the whip along? How about the strap on, would you finally let me use it, Da~rling?” He could see a Gengar behind her back!

Kogoro fled outside, his arms flailing. “I DON’T WANNA GET PEGGED!”

Truly, his life is in danger as he expected!
