My apologies for the sudden announcement. Unfortunately, I won't be able to continue this version of "So you wanna be an anime catgirl."
The reason is that I'm currently working on a rewrite right now. There are too many mistakes that I noticed, both grammar wise and plot wise. Thank you so much for pointing out my glaring mistakes, and I will appreciate it more if you guys can give me more feedbacks on the story. I'm working hard to improve myself everyday.
So, please tell me, how do you like about the story so far? Which character is your favorite? In future version, would you prefer more combat, or more Slice of Life style and wholesome scenes? Even though my weird ideas can sometimes scare people away.
Also, 2nd POV is a bit weird for people to read so I might change it to 3rd POV. I will also reconsider the tone of the story so that it won't be too dark. And lastly, MOST IMPORTANTLY, do you want to the character to keep saying nya or no? I will make a poll.
About when the new version will be ready, I promise to deliver it to you guys within 2 months. I know that I dropped too many stories already, but this one is hard commitment. So far, I already have 10 chapters rewritten (nearly 30k words), which is 30% of the story currently, and I'm feeling very good about it. When the process is completed, they will all be uploaded at once, and I will post a new notice here.

seems like an unpopular opinion but I actually quite liked the 2nd person PoV, it helped to set apart this story from its peers, as well as enhancing the immersion imo.
Although I might be biased since I wouldn't mind being a catgirl myself... nyaaa- (foxgirls are best but catgirls are solid seconds in my book)
Ahem. So, yea a bit sad to see that going away :/ I get it though, you can't always please everyone.
More Slice of Life, please!
Its so rare to find an actual wholesome SoL romance that doesnt just devolve into an overly kinky weak -> strong adventure. Which is the vibe i got off the last few chapters.
Honestly, were I you, I'd keep going on this one, as a sort of rough draft. Assuming you aren't planning on altering the path to get here. Get the ideas out when you have them on this version, then once you've corrected, and polished the chapters, post on the rewrite. Not much more frustrating than knowing you had an awesome idea, but not being able to remember it when it's time to write it down.
I like your story I really do, but your 2nd person POV feel a little wonky as sometimes the POV writing shift to the other character as to tell what others feels or do making it a little bit inconsistent.
I have read a 2nd person POV story before but it tent to be influence by the reader personal experience with the story as in the reader have the right to interfere and interact with the story not on the rigid guide rail that the author had written, you know like chooce your own adventure stories.
As for the general feel of the story it was indeed getting a but too dark for a slice of life story, but if you want to leave that genre and focus on the plot you are on the right track as the plot has move on from the sweet interaction of the slice of life side. You can have both, however you need to balance both and that is the hardest part for most Author to struggle with , do you want advance the plot consistenly or let the plot flow on their own.
All in all I looking forward for your rewrite of the story. I hope it involve alot of cuddly, fluffy, bubbly relationships between the character. Thanks for reading my ramblings on this. I hope you have a great day and good work with you rewrite so far. Can't wait for it to come out.
Thank you for your feedbacks! I picked 2nd POV because I thought it would make the ecchi scenes better, but guess I was wrong. As I'm rewriting right now, 3rd POV is working really well. I don't pick 1st POV because it can be quite embarrassing to write, hehe. It makes me feel like a creepy self insert author especially with all the sex.
As for the dark feeling, I like the plot right now and I won't change it too much. Thank you for letting me know that I'm on the write track. But I definitely will make more fluffy scenes to balance that, and lessen the dark and gore stuffs like you said.
