Fate was dumbstruck at this sudden introduction by the Witch, his jaw already beginning to slack. A fight had broken out over a question of purpose, a newly created would-be ‘deity’ looked like it would be erased, and right when he had thought the situation couldn’t be stranger, a new being had taken the stage, rescuing its supposed sibling…

- How in the hell could that stupid-looking thing be a ‘God of Creation’ or anything of the sort?! It looks like a ‘Dark God’ if anything, with the dim light and the ‘oh-so comforting’ rapidly spawning and decaying limbs! Then again...I have the body of a child, but my soul is over twenty years-old...so, I guess appearances can be deceiving?

A tense silence enveloped the two dim balls of light, with the green one moving slightly, side to side, as if trying to observe every aspect that this new figure possessed.

However, as new constructs emerged and collapsed inward, constantly, the god could not seem to make any sense of this strange being’s appearance. Fate continued to stare at it, almost as if his eyes were being drawn into its strange form.

Green: “Who are you…? Has our creator defied his words once again?”

Despite having what would have most likely been called a near-death experience, the green orb kept its dull and logical tone, not deviating even slightly, despite the shock that one should have expected in this situation.

Purple: “W-wHo dDo yoU-u be-l-l-lieve Mm-e t-To bE?”

Again, the warped, mechanical tone played in Fate’s ears, now causing him some slight discomfort.

A few moments passed before the green orb responded, and all the while, the enormous circle in the distance continued to grow more complete…

Green: “Why did you help me, is such an act of mercy not imprudent? What would you stand to gain from defying our creator, did he not create you as he did me?”

Purple: “w-Wwhy...woOuld-d y-you?”

The green orb’s inner glow seemed to indicate that it planned to respond, yet at the sudden question, it almost immediately dimmed. Indeed, a newly created being had questioned its creator and had not shown hesitation, even when faced with annihilation, it was very strange.

Both entities seemed to pause, with one looking at their sibling that they had saved while the other turned to observe the slowly dawning power in the distance…

Purple: “T-tho-Ough...t-tO aAn-ns-sWeR y-Yo-our-R...q-Quest-Ti-onn…”

Witch of Fate: “Two newly created beings, both outcasts, tried to make sense of one another. However, only the one who hadn’t been meant to be had given himself a purpose. This was what had made him seek out a ‘defective’ being, such as the ‘God of Life.’”

The green light had now been christened with a new name by the Witch, further confusing Fate.

-So the purple nightmare blob is a ‘god’ of creation and the green who can’t raise its voice and simultaneously shut the hell up to save its own life is the ‘god’ of life…?

Yet, despite his confusion, Fate found himself oddly captivated by this developing story. After all, with  a story as fascinating as the birth of a world, who wouldn’t feel at least somewhat interested? The ‘God of Life’ turned towards the ‘God of Creation,’ ready to hear its reasoning…

Purple: “Y-Ou-u wI-ish f-fOr l-Life-E to O-ccuPPy t-ThiS...em-Mpt-tIneSS, D-do y-yOu nOT?”

The ‘God of Life’ spun around, looking out to lightless space, only to view nothing but, just as its sibling had said, emptiness. It felt strange sensations welling up from within, a desire…

Green: “I...feel...that I must...create something within this endless expanse...however, I am unaware as to how this...feeling...would guide me to such an...ambitious objective…”

For the first time in its short existence, the ‘god’ began to hear its own voice tremble, influenced by a mix of uncertainty and a strange burst of excitement!

Suddenly, the purple orb began to advance towards its sibling.

Witch of Fate: “The God of Life was imperfect, for his desire to create became a basis for some degree of free will, while the God of Creation was an unintentional byproduct and its light had already begun to fade...One sought to create life, while the other wished to preserve its own…”

-A desire became free will...and the other one was destined to die...where is she going with this weird plot?

Purple: “Y-Et-t y-O-ouu Ca-annot-t…”

The green light slightly trembled in Fate’s vision, at the comment from its sibling. Yet, within its distorted tones, Fate could not detect any trace of ill-will, despite its seeming derriding of the God of Life’s newfound desire…

Purple: “D-Do YoOu k-Kn-now W-what you W-wish to C-crea-t-tE?”

The green light trembled again. Was it actually disturbed by the things that the God of Creation was asking?

Green: “...Life...but...I want to create, but…I cannot...think of what I would...create...am I broken, am I...worthless?!”

The God of Life shouted in dismay…

Witch of Fate: “Indeed, though it may seem a contradiction from one who we gods have given such a title, it was this very thing that caused the God of Creation to seek him out. For each of the ‘First Gods’ was not only meant to serve as a means to restore their creation, they each represented an aspect of their master’s being…”

As she spoke, the God of Creation continued to grow ever closer to the God of Life, their respective auras now beginning to spark against each other, in a mix of purple and green…

Purple: “No-Ot woR-rthles-s-sS, yoU aR-Re siMp-ply a bei-InG thAt Wis-shEs to g-GiVe life aNd cR-reAte it, but-T Y-o-u do N-noT ye-Et k-know-w W-wHaT liF-fe it-wouLd wIsh t-to C-cr-reAte…”

A strange gentleness drifted in the distorted voice of the purple orb, as it stopped advancing while the auras of the two gods ceased their struggle.

A slightly brighter glow now began to emanate from within the dim core of the God of Creation as its voice flowed towards the God of Life, spoken with a surprising clarity and sincerity...

Purple: “...As you are flawed...and I am broken...may we seek perfection, together…?”
