'The rise of the Thunder Emperor. '

The upper mentioned name belongs to a famous light novel I used to read until very recent years. The story became so famous that there was a manga and anime adaptation. 

Well, it was mostly clichè except for properly developed characters and sick action scenes. And since my taste lay in action+romance, I dived in and read every volume relatively too soon to sound absurd. 

In the manga, the main protagonist Arata comes from a lowly village and gets bullied and similar shit. But thanks to his ancestors being a mysterious entity, he awakens the power of Lightning. 

Well, until that period many people become his stepping stone and help him push to the limit. And the protagonist Arata uses his power of friendship and miraculously gets out of every situation. 

One of those stepping stones, a massive one to say the least, is currently displaying its face as me in the mirror. 

Yes, I have become Seth Albeck. One of the mid-rank bosses who wants nothing more than Arata's demise. 

And I will be the push he needs to acknowledge what he actually is.

Well, it's a dream for every otaku to just visit their favorite 2d world once and get to do those things which on earth would be treated as chuunibyou. 

While inspecting my face I bit my lips to confirm that I indeed have taken birth in this body. 

Well, physically Seth is a handsome stud with dark green hair and sharp eyes. His looks could be a level above the main character but due to Seth's nature and the way he behaves, the audience came to hate him from day one. 

I was no better. 

Judging from the girl lying on the bed who is one of the hero's harem members, I guess six months have already passed from the main plot and I was going to raise a massive flag. 

The heroine lying on my bed while constantly glaring at me, is actually Arata's childhood friend who used to visit him from the capital and got infatuated with him. 

The liking soon turned into love when she saw him all grown up in the Academy. 

The reason she came to sleep with me-

"Hey, why aren't you doing anything?! Don't tell me, you are going back on your words now! No, you can't do that Aru-kun!" 

Well, I blackmailed her, in short. 

'I have to take care of this mess before it elevates… '

I walked up to the bed and saw the blond heroine, Serena Riserville, shivering evidently yet she kept her gaze stern as ever. 

She's weak from the inside and can get easily coerced but puts a bold front to tackle scums just like me. 

Taking my shirt from the closet near the bed I spoke in a tone that I wasn't familiar with. 

"Stop shouting or I will throw you out of that window." 

For some reason, I wasn't able to ask her the way I generally would have. I think it's the character of Seth currently influencing me, but well.. 

At least she closed her mouth after yelping in a fret. 

She's really tame and adorable to the point where I felt like bullying her slightly. But that can lead to her death and mine too, so I will restrain myself. 

"It's already midnight. You can use the room for the time being. I am going outside." 

After wearing my shirt I took my glasses from the small table before I intended to go out and think about my situation. But suddenly, Serena called for me. 

"S-so you are going to fail Aru-kun. I can't-"

"On the name of Albeck, I give my word that I won't alter the designated questions of the upcoming tests nor partake in any kind of injustice while evaluating any students. And that includes your Aru-kun, too. Is it okay now or should I sign an oath?" 

I was kinda pissed at her raised volume since my headache was rising with each of her yells. And the best way to shut her up was to ensure that Serena's beloved is safe without her selling her body. 

Hearing my words Serena fell into visible shock as she failed to utter anything further. 

"Now stay here or run away, I don't care. Just don't fucking shout again, you understand?" 

Serena was no more conscious of her naked body as she shuddered upon hearing my unexpected words. Well, taking her all-time haughty nature into account it was surprising she conceded so easily. 

Without any further ado, I walked out of the room and closed the door on my back. 

The outdoors was just like I expected. 

Luxurious. 

As I walked out a maid instantly ran up to me and bowed gracefully. 

"Does Young Master requires any assistance?" 

I didn't halt just made a passing comment before I walked down the stairs. 

"Just provide her if she needs anything and send a cup of coffee to my study room."
