Sometimes, my mind feels like writing.
Sometimes it feels like dropping it.
Damn it brain! make up your mind!

Time: 11:00
Place: On the way to Male Dormitory.

Seriously...
Nelly was way more assertive about turning it into our business.
All I did was a simple photograph of ideas you came up with on the game's story.
So I felt like I was stealing her own ideas that should have been hers in the first place.

Well, at least I obtained plenty of things from Nel's.

Defense Activation Mod, Mana Pack, and most importantly the Generator upgrade for the pack.

Now then how important are three of these?

It allows the ark-seal to activate defensively against magic attacks.
it's effective when using wards against the elements making it extremely reliable in dangerous circumstances.

Barriers created by generators are nice but it's not going to work since it's an onetime use gimmick.
Which is why I had to make Nelly rush its creation.

I can modify it to create a barrier automatically.
Sadly, I don't have enough materials and the proper pictures inside the dungeons to motivate her enough.

But...
Thankfully Nelly's character hasn't changed even in this world.
She is still nutty about inventions that she forgets even those around her.

But I never imagined her having a business sense like her own mother.

Truly a great candidate as a wife!
I don't know why some call her boring in my past-life but it's not strange for me to think of it like this...

Now that this world isn't a game I need to be practical.

As I reached the boy's dormitory and open the door I was greeted by the hungry eyes of my dorm mates.

"Hey isn't that Baster!?"

"What!? BASTARD HERE!"

"HEY EVERYONE BASTARD HERE!
Now's our chance!"

"We can finally stick it in his ass!
After what he and his sisters did to our tests!"

My face froze as I heard that...

Quickly as if my life depended on it.

I rush to flee outside and ran away from the front door as students from the male dormitory started chasing me, as I glance from behind I even saw some of them jumping out of the window to chase.

What the ****.

But as I ran...
I realized something odd.
The drones usually watched over the academy and us.

Have Disappeared.

"WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING!"

There was no time to think, I had to run and before I realized it.
I was already in deep shit!

Age: 15.
State: Currently being hunted down by angry male students.
Protection: Zero.
Quest: Find Blink Mane and Recruit the rest of the students.

*haa...*

*Haa...*

*Haa...*

While running in full sprint those guys are closing in using the things they learned in this academy.
Also... the fact the grueling training here is a real practical battle.
Their blood lust is terrifying as it reached my spine.

But the scary fact about this...
Is most of them are practically ripped!
(I don't want to know what they would do if they catch me.)

But as I ran...
I was quickly cut off by a group of muscle men in the front who cut me off...

"Oh... OH-SHEEET!"

Forced to make a sharp turn in an alleyway.
Two hands suddenly grabbed me from the corner of the alley.

As shadows enveloped us.

Before I could cry out for help, his rough hand closed my mouth.
*HMHMHMMH* I tried to struggle but something black wrapped around my body and my eyes and face rendering me powerless.

But the words he spoke were...

"Shhh...
It's me, brother in law."

This voice...
Was familiar.
And what the heck!?

Brother in Law!
...

Unable to retort the wave of angry students went past us as if we were invisible.
We were leaning on the corner of the alleyway as if there was some kind of transparent dark fog hiding us.

But this voice is...
Undoubtedly-

Reeks! it smelly smell!
What the heck it's like the smell of garbage!?

After the coast was clear.

I was freed from the grip.
As I turned my head I saw him.
There was a dark shadow figure from behind and its glowing red eyes was that of a beast.

"Wha-what the **** is that!?"

He turns to the creature and said with a smile.

"Oh... This?
It's my spirit.

Your sister was a great help.
She resolved my problems in a set of instructions.
That only took merely two weeks to accomplish." as he confidently said those words.

He then said with his face blushing.

"I am eternally grateful to her, that I think I have fallen for her.
I am aware she is still too young for me, right now.

And willing to wait, until I'm worthy of her.

But...
If possible you would accept me as your brother in law in the future?"

Baster blood rose to his head as he then thought with his face twitching.

(WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON!?)

...

...

...

He smells like garbage but that thing behind him is actually... extremely powerful.

I instantly remembered what that spirit was inside the game.

Capable of destroying large waves of enemies in the game.
It can also manipulate and cause monsters a series of nasty mental attacks.
Inflicting confusion, charm, mind drain, and mind corrosion.

It also hit like a truck completely defeating the whole party.

Yes, he wasn't an ally it was a boss fight where he lost control of himself.
It was his so-called ultimate move that made him incredibly uncontrollable and hostile to the main heroine.

This spirit he calls it is a late-game power he unlocks in the game.
In exchange for the power he obtained, he loses his mind in the process to save the party from an enemy but turns out to become an enemy in the end.

But still, I want to complain.

(TORI!? DEAR Step SISTER OF MINE!?
What the hell did you just give to this monster!
I don't know what he will do to me if I somehow piss him off.

Or reject his offer of love for you.

Gaaaaahh...
I knew this guy was terrible news.
It's like the last boss appeared.

Well, whatever it's her problem if he starts being too obsessed with her.)

Based on the story...

If the heroine is defeated by him...

(Blink Mane once a former lower aristocrat later gained the power to control humans and brainwash them under his power.

A complete power-hungry maniac that never trusted anyone and took control of the kingdom with an iron fist turning even the heroine into his pet.

He even had a leash and H-scene where he plucked her as she was powerless to stop him and was the only one unaffected by his power.

Like a bird in a cage.

It was a bad end scenario if the heroine failed to properly defeat and seal his spirit away.
But by doing so, his life-span will shorten and dies earlier in the story.
Being able to avoid the bad end flag.

He was created by the developers as a tragic character.
How the heck am I suppose to deal with this ticking bomb!?)

*HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSE TO DEFEAT THAT THING!*

While I was panicking inside I decided to ignore everything and focus on the task at hand.
I swiftly then asked.

"What the heck are you doing hiding in this alleyway?"

He nods to me as he said.

"Ah... I was recently disowned by my parents."

"Haa!? " I was shocked.
what the **** happened while we were gone!?

Let's see we have been only gone for at least 2 or so weeks, after the incident.
But... I need to know what Tori did to him first.

"Can you at least explain to me how you managed to control that spirit?"

Blink simply smiled as he happily said.

"My lovely Tori didn't tell you?"

(Wow... he's already claiming her.)

I shook my head to his words.
Then he explained.

"Well, she taught me what spirits are...
And said important aspects regarding its power.
She said I was blessed by a powerful being that governed the darkness of this world.

And there was a spirit attached to me that should have helped control my powers.

She hypothesized that I became terrified of the spirit.
Which scared it into hiding and separated from my body.

This, in turn, caused my power to go rampant.

Ms.Tori sealed my powers temporarily but until it was resolved
I had to search for that thing in the academy.

She assisted me by giving me a way to find it.

And when I did...
It was both terrifying and daunting.

It was lurking in the darkness of the night causing mischief and scaring other students by attacking them.

But...
Then your sister's explanation saved me.
The fact I was afraid of it, led to such a scenario.
Which technically means, all I needed to do was approach it without fear.

She also said that I needed that spirit to control the gift granted to me.
If I ever have any hope of a future.

After all the pains I've been through,
I rather face that thing head on that experience that pain again!?

and so...

It resulted in this."

Baster face twitched as he saw the spirit completely under his thumb.
It was moving around him until it hid underneath his own shadow.

To change the mood Baster then asked.

"I see...
Then...
Can I ask why do you smell like garbage?"

To which he gazed away and said.

"The academy was searching for me,
Since I was disowned, I'm no longer fit here.

I wanted to say goodbye to your sister before I left this place.
Which is why I was desperately hiding."

"So... you hid in garbage's like a hobo to avoid the drones."

"Yeah...

I only come out when its night time.
I usually hide in alleyways like this while remaining hidden.

Then I found you being chased and decided to help."

(I see...
So that's why he was here.)

But then he said.

"I also came across a group of people constantly destroying them.
While I was hiding.

They were being sniped from that clock tower over there."

He pointed at the clock tower of the academy which can be seen anywhere.
Its tall daunting size resounds a large echo showing the importance of the academia's time.

"All the drones converged there in search of the criminal.

But...
They were all instantly destroyed.

I saw they were all skillfully shot down by magic.

Mysterious terrorists inside the clock tower started attacking the guards of the school.
But I noticed the royal family seems to have swiftly moved in as well with their own soldiers.
To suppress the person destroying them.

I'm not technically sure if they successfully apprehended him.
But I saw a few of them get shot while I escaped for my life.

A warning was issued through the microphone to stay away from the clock tower.
Everyone was told to stay indoors.

Then announced a terrorist is hiding in the academy.
And thus far there hasn't been any word of the terrorist being captured yet.
But they are keeping a close eye on the last location where the drones were destroyed."

Baster then complained.

"Then why haven't they released more drones?"

"That is because...
This assailant is skillfully destroying them without revealing his location.

I later discovered he was using miniature mobile turrets he set up to fire on any flying drones.

It nearly got me."

His spirit soon swirled and revealed a heap of junk of the turret he destroyed.

"Nasty little buggers.
They seem to only move at night.
So it's safe in the morning, but lately...

I felt like they were growing in numbers."

Baster gulped down.

"Do the students know any of this?"

He shook his head.

"They were told to settle inside dormitories and because you guys injured the professors.
Most tests became a theoretical paper test instead of practical's instead made in their rooms.

A lot of the students got seriously pissed off because of this."

Baster hangs his head.
"And here I thought, the trouble was over."

He then pulled out Lotte's Letter from his clothes.

"Well, this is quite unexpected..."

There was a wide smile on his face when he read the letter.

"I thought, I was finished the moment I was disowned.
Looks like I still have a bit more of hope."

The letter indicates that the academy is still willing to accept him if he participates in Lotte's exams.
There were also significant warnings that Lotte and the academy won't be liable if they are killed during the recording of their quests.

Baster then asked.

"Why exactly were you disowned?"

"It's a long story.
But, I'll simplify it.

My family took me in because of my good looks and my bloodline.
But when they discovered this face of mine is fake created by my power.

They swiftly decided to disown me.

I ran away as swiftly as I can and hid thus far...
If it weren't for my spirit, I would have been caught by now.

Well...

It's not like my luck was great from the beginning.
With my original house being usurped by enemy house and all.

To be practically honest.
I don't care anymore,
I just want to live more honestly.
"

He said with a bitter expression.
Baster whose nose had grown numb from the smell coming from him then said.

"Looks like you had it rough..."

"Not as rough as you and your sisters have.
Brother in Law."

Baster swiftly retorted.

"I still haven't accepted you being my brother in law...
Until you convince my sister otherwise!

I won't easily hand them over!"

"Hooh... is that a challenge?" he said with a grin in his face.

Then changed the subject.

"But first...
I do need a shower,
I think my nose had grown used to this smell.

At this rate, your sisters will hate me for this..."

Then asking.

"Speaking of your sisters...
How are they?"

Baster could only bite his lips.
"Both of them are injured.
Something ridiculous happened."

"What!?" as he tried to approach baster deftly dodged him.
Afraid of his reeking hands.

"It's best you go to the airship and figure it out yourself.
I still have an errand to do and I don't really have much time myself."

He nods and swiftly ran to the instructed personal docks which was written in the letter.

"That's two down...
A few more to go."

Time: 11:30am.
Place: Alleyway.

Seriously...
I thought this would be easy.
Why the heck did this become so complicated!?

I can guess the terrorist entered this place hunting for the prince but...

*Beep* *beep*.

Something in my clothes vibrated.
It was technically the earpiece device used for communications.

As I pressed the button I swiftly placed it on my ears and asked.

"Hello?"

The voice that came out was Lotte's voice.

"Ah... Baster.
The prince has already been escorted here safely.
So you don't need to come search for him.

As for the rest of the student...
I recently received news that a group of terrorists was lurking around.

So, I decided to call them directly instead."

"Eh?"

He was puzzled by her sudden decision.

"Nelly has also arrived as well.
And a few groups of students."

Baster then retorts.

"If you can do that...
Then why the heck did you send me?"

"Because not all of them can be contacted.
Blink Mane is said to be missing around the alleyway.
Annie Lent meanwhile doesn't have a communication device in her home.

Meanwhile...
Alister Berk and Alester Maizer came together.
Lilith Atro soon followed with a well-prepared people of her own.
Those three came here without any problems."

"So...
That only leaves Annie lent.

But you still haven't answered.
Why me?
Couldn't you have sent someone else?"

"Most of the academy guards have been injured.

I do believe you can handle this.

After all...
You survived a forest full of monsters.
So I don't think you will get yourself easily killed."

"Oi! Oi!
Aren't you trusting me too much?"

"Yes, I do...
You're quite smart and capable for your age."

Baster then angrily retorts.
"Your flattery will do nothing here!?
Is this the reason why you equipped me with my combat equipment?"

"Not really...
I wanted you to be prepared in case they sent out assassins aiming for your neck.
But things suddenly developed this way." she replied.

"This ain't funny at all!"

"Treat this like a mission.
Why are you complaining so much?

This is a simple fetch job.
While you don't carry the same magical aptitude as your sisters.
I studied your performance in the academy and also in battle.

Your quite a trooper.

But... I noticed just now.
Have you found Mr. Blink already?"

"Yeah, I came across him while I was being hunted down by the grudges of students here.
Seriously, I hate this place so much."

Lotte laughed wholeheartedly.

"That's some fine luck and good news.

Well...
You can't start an adventure as a part of the nobility without a permit here.
So you can only suck it up until we leave this rock.

Though, I can understand your situation.

After all.
They tried to kill us all. "

Baster sighed deeply.

"Either way...
Where do I find Annie Lent?"

"She should be somewhere in the northern district a private house she owns there."

"Shit..." Baster replied.

"Is there something wrong?" Lotte ask.

"Right now, I'm in the southern district.
Which means, I need to go through the clock tower.
Blink told me there's still no news of the battle ending yet.
So I don't know what is happening."

"I see...
Please, wait for a moment.
I'll go contact the main district about it."

A few minutes later...
Baster decided to go around by going East-North.
He avoided students and sneaked his way through the academy using the alleyways.

The reason:
(Shit the sooner I finish this.
The faster we can get out of this dumpster.)

He eagerly wanted to leave the academy.

However...

"Oi. Oi.
You gotta be kidding me."

While he was cautiously sneaking around.
He detected a few turrets set up.
By the terrorist, they were hunting...

It was then his communication earpiece replied to him.

"I have received a message from the academy.
Do not go East-North.
It appears the terrorist seems to have fled from that side.
They placed mobile turrets and caused quite a lot of damage inside the academy.

Guards are constantly searching for the terrorist responsible for it."

Baster then smacked his face with his hand.

"Any casualties?"

"Guards were killed and students were injured.
Aside from that, a few of them even kidnapped some girls.

I don't advise fighting them.
They appear to be using advanced military tech.
The Havel soldiers are already working their way-"

"Oi?
Those clothes a student?
Didn't the academy issue a notice to stay indoors!?"

An angry voice came from behind him as his loud footsteps approached.
Armed and geared the soldiers of Havel appeared.

(Shit, as if things were bad enough.)

Baster thought but then heard a terrifying noise.

*Whirrrrrr* *Click*

He turns his head and saw it.

A miniature turret said to be able to destroy the flying drones made out of stones.

"SHIT!" Baster tugs a string from the inside his clothes.

*Bang*

A barrier was erected around him as he was pushed away by the explosive force.
"Guh..."

The soldiers who saw what happened swiftly opened fired at the turret.

And before Baster knew it.
It became an open gunfight in the middle of the academy.

(What the **** is going on in this bloody place!
This wasn't part of the story at all!)
