『You are joking right?』Talie questioningly asked.

He simply showed her a serious expression and said.

"Why would I joke about something like this?!"

They were now underneath the table while the party is ongoing...
The two were cooperative when he wished to privately speak with them.

An assassination in a palace like this?

How are they even going to pull it off...」she asked?

I answered her in two words.

"Heavy Artillery." the two swiftly paled as Talie swiftly shook my shoulders as she asked.

『Hey, wait how do you know all this?』

"As I said before, there's no time to explain...
We need to get out of here or else we will be caught up in-"

An echo in the party soon said in an amplified voice.

"Ladies and gentlemen.
May we have your attention please."

Baster sighs.

"Well, shit."  his face paled as the announcer began talking.

「Baster?」

『Baster?』

Both of them called him but he gazed at the two with panic in his eyes.

"We really need to run now...
This place is going to be in a state of chaos in a few seconds."

From a distance in the sky, one of the airship guns has locked unto the citadel.
It was aimed towards the royal party they were currently in...

The rest of the airship swiftly sent out a distress signal warning the airship to cease its action as the rest of their guns pointed at their ship.

However unaware of the situation, that airship belonging to the black-rose family.
Designated to keep the airspace safe.

Unfortunately,
Have already been hi-jacked...

The moment the announcer shouted.

"Behold your majesty the prince!"

A young handsome man appeared with golden hair and blue eyes.
His visage was attractive and alluring for the girls as they all gazed at him in attention.

Meanwhile inside the airship that has been hi-jacked.
A person said. "All Hail the Prince." in a mocking tone as he pushed the button and jumped off the ship.

*Heavy gunfire noise's*

The moment the airship fired its weapons.
The rest of the airships around it fired on the ship as well sinking and destroying it.

Meanwhile at the party where the twins were...

Tori and Talie felt an ominous presence of death in the air.
One of the powers of the Blessing of the Spirit Lord was the power to sense incoming danger.

 It was at this moment the two realized Baster was not joking around.
But it was all too late as the Shell's pierced through the magical protection of the building and breached the inside of the building as it tore a hole in it before causing an explosion.

// Act 2: An Unprecedented Change. //

"Talie!, Torie! are both of you alright?"

Smoke and dust fill the air as he coughed, rubble and injured young youth were to be seen.
The two sisters were at his arm's length as he covered them the moment he heard the gunfire from the airship.

Those who were unlucky enough to be close to the windows didn't survive.
As for those who survived they swiftly fled for their lives...

「Why?
if you knew something like this was going to happen...
Why didn't you tell us sooner?」Tori glared at him.
but Baster himself could only give a bitter expression.

Talie replied with a calm expression.

『He probably only discovered this only recently...
If he did know about this, he should have said something before we came here.』

Baster then said with a bitter expression.
"I'm sorry...
If only I knew about this sooner..." his eyes reflected a deep regret.

『It's fine, you warned us enough.
That I managed to shield us from harm.』

Baster was dumbfounded by her words as the smokes began to clear.
There was some kind of thin transparent black shell around them.

"Is this your work?"

『Yes, but Tori can do a way better job than me.』

She snaps her hand as it dissipated.

While Talie was able to defend them, there were unfortunate few who were on the ground unmoving and groaning. Tori and Talie were unfazed by the sight, but Baster was showing bitterness.

Tori gazed at them while thinking deeply then realizes a certain fact.
She turns to Baster with a worried expression.

「Hey, wait what about our parents?」

"They are currently in a meeting with the great houses.
Discussing your father's reinstatement as head of the family.

Though, they won't be fine for long."

「Huh?-」
『What do you mean won't be fine for long?』

"Originally this party was made for the younger generation to mingle with one another.
This was also the prince coming birthday and celebration to become a marriageable age in search of a fiance-"

While explaining his bitter expression darkened as he swiftly rushed ahead of them.
His eyes as then kneeled towards a dying young man.

*Groan*  while bleeding.

The person who he was now in front of...
was known as the first crown prince of the kingdom.

Alester Maizar the current prince of Havel.

however, he was in a terrible dying state but remained alive as the soldiers that protect him were able to shield him from the explosion that occurred. His once graceful looks were now a horrid and terrible sight as one of his arms was blown off from the explosion despite his guard's efforts.

Half of his body and face were burned as his clothes remained partially on fire.
Baster rushed to put it out the flames with his coat while saying.

"Shit,
in the end...
our family is so royally screwed."

『Oi,
why are you saying our family is screwed?』 Talie asked him.

"Apparently, the airship used to attack this place has been hi-jacked.
And it belongs to our family...

I only recently discovered this-"

While baster was explaining he was soon interrupted by Tori movement.
Her face showed displeasure of what she heard, was now twitching in anger.
She calmly moved in front of him while chanting.

「To you, who dances with life.

Please grace us with your presence.

Give us the miracle that sings upon your name!」

Tori's hand shined with vivid light as she clutched her hand together as she prayed.

「Mend the soul, the body and the mind in the name of your Lord!」

Marking gleamed on her face along with her arms.
The most vivid marking is on her back as it shined with the symbol of the Lord of Spirits.

「Come Forth and Bring us your Blessing!」

「Seraphim!」

as she shouted these words,
she then slapped the face of the prince in frustration with all she had.
As it made an echoing sound in the party's hall.

The prince groaned, as Talie laughed at the scene while Baster gaped at her as he shouted.

"What are you doi-" before he could retort a gigantic magic circle appeared behind her as a transparent floating being that seemed angelic, came out from the circle in the large hall.

Its figure and presence revealed a radiant light as he covered his eyes from it.

Tori and Talie remained calm while Baster was flabbergasted.

Tori nodded towards the being as it nodded to her.

Before long it flapped its spectral wings as it, released a bright pulse of light as it disappeared into the air.

A vast restoration magic was unleashed which healed the dying along with the injured stabilizing them, the Citadel was now embraced by glowing light which blessed the living.

Tori then said with an annoyed expression.

「Agh, why do I have to save the people's sorry ass to save our family.」

Then said with a frustrated yet smiling expression.

「Ah that slap was quite satisfying...
Let me at least vent out my frustration for dragging us into this mess.」

Despite her smiling face, a bulge on her head clearly shows she was angry and annoyed.

She slapped the unconscious man once more...
Talie was laughing as she ran out of breath while Baster was gazing at her in complete shock.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOIIIING!" he shouted stopping her from harming him any further...

His wounds have begun to heal, while his arm did not recover from its magic.
However, It stabilized his dire condition and was now breathing with ease.

Those who were lying on the ground dying were also healed by the spirit she had called forth.

『I see...
So, you performed spirit summoning instead rather than wasting your own mana.

But isn't that quite cruel of you slapping him repeatedly when he is severely injured?
Shouldn't you be kissing him instead to heal him faster?』 Talie jokingly said.

With a deadpan face, Tori simply gazed at her with a tired expression.

「Please stop it.
That's pretty damn cliche and terrifying it gave me shivers just by imagining it.

If I dare use that kind of spell, he might wake up and use this moment as an excuse.

Take responsibility and become my queen or something like that...」she say in retort to her.

Talie held back her laughter and finally calmed down.
Then gazed at the prince who was now stable and recovering.

Baster, on the other hand, had a tired expression on his face.
He then asked both of them.

"How are you two so calm about this!" he retorts.

「We've been through worse...」

Both of them said in unison as he sighed in response.

After a few moments of calming down, Talie then asked.

『So, Baster.
what's the next plan?』

"Huh? next plan..." he said with a troubled expression.

But Talie was displeased by that.

『Your joking right?
Our family is being framed right now.

Surely you know a way to save our family name?』

"How did you come up with that assumption!" he retorts.

But they soon heard gun-fire from the distance.

「We should move now...
They are likely after the prince.」Tori said with a serious expression.

『We did our part, now is your time to shine step-brother. 』

「We might be able to save our family.  
If we keep the prince safe from his assailants.」

"You two are crazy!
I can't believe you guys aren't fazed by this!"

Both of them shrugged at him as they focused on the task at hand.

The twins assisted in moving the sleeping prince on baster's back while they left the scene.

"Who on earth exactly are you two?" he asked the twins while they walked the halls with the prince on his back.

Tori then said.

「They call people like us Chosen Ones in the distant past.
But that's pretty cliche, so we prefer to be called those who carry a powerful blessing.」

Baster was confused at her words then Talie explains it in simpler terms

『There are powerful beings in this world.
Sometimes they like certain individuals that they bless them with their power and gifts.

Both of us were blessed by the spirit king.
Because of that, we can call forth any of his brethren once in a while without any form of repercussions.』

Tori then further explains.

「Sadly, even with this blessing.
That doesn't mean, they will answer our beckon so easily.
Spirits are stubborn beings that require a deep trust for them to appear.

Seraph and Mino's are the spirits I can call forth.

Talie still doesn't have one yet.」

『Ho... are you boasting now?』Talie retorts

「No, if we get attacked the fact you don't have one.

This means we are currently completely defenseless.

So we should avoid any kind of confrontation until this whole ordeal settle's down.」

They were both in the body of 9-year-olds.

The twins knew their limits.
Even if they know how to fight,
pushing themselves by using magic as their only weapon will put their lives in needless risk.

Baster himself was 12 years old, unfortunately, he didn't bring any weapon as it's prohibited in the palace.

The whole place was in a large ruckus.
Noises of gun-shots and blasts of magic echo in the place.

「Hopefully our family are safe.」was what Tori hopefully wish for...

Baster's Pov:

A few moments have passed and they found a bed room to stay safe for the moment.
Baster and the twins moved to steer clear of the danger, away from the places where the gun-fires were coming from. They left the prince in a bed while the twins watered the flowers due to them stuffing their faces at the party.

Baster, on the other hand, was by the entrance of the room they stayed in.
He was peeking through the door slightly open peering outside incase something dangerous comes after them.

While doing this,
He soon saw something that made him pale.

A large machine with bipedal legs, it was armed with a turning turret on its head with floating stones around it. Beside it was a large spherical floating machine the size of a small boulder...

Though the reason he paled was...

(What the hell are Mid-tier game mobs doing here!?) he screamed inside his mind as he saw it.

The pair of monsters was scanning the area seemed to be looking for something or someone.
As it breaks open a few doors with its large metallic bipedal legs as they scanned each room.
Their door was next to be broken.

In a few short moments, Baster rushed towards the prince and carried him down to the floor as he covered him in bedsheet. The two siblings who just finished in the bathroom saw him as he gave them a hand-signal.

As he placed his finger close to his lips with a pale expression.
Telling them to be quiet.

The two nods as they stayed inside while Baster himself hid underneath the bed.

The door creaks and the bipedal machines entered the room,
as it scanned the area with a glowing red light.

However, a mysterious figure from behind the mechanical monster appeared.

As another battle broke out.
Starting off with an Arc Seal called『Volt.』.

The large sphere detached its outer shell sensing the dangerous presence as it protected the bipedal machine. Shielding it from the electric blast the person shot it with...

The turret of the bipedal then turned towards their opponent and opened fire.
A shell of magical protection shielded him from harm as he ran from it.

The machine swiftly turned its body and chased it while under the protection of the spherical machine.

Baster paled as he slowly closed the door with a pale expression.
Sweat flowed down his brow.

(Dammit you stupid author!?) he cried out deeply in his heart.

I soon realized that the beginning of the story was the fall of the BlackRose family.
The reason why I couldn't remember it was simply because I ditched the opening of the story.
But now, It is presented on my face like some kind of explosive in this new life.

It completely shook the fabric of my world.

Originally my siblings aren't supposedly in this kind of place, to begin with...
So it wasn't my damn fault that they are here...

The fact they are reincarnator's like myself...
Already made the story go out of whack!

What will happen to the story now that we just freaking saved the prince?

Where he's supposedly supposed to die in!

He pondered to himself on what he should do next...
[Can we really be forgiven now that he lost a limb from this incident?]

He pauses for a few moments.
And shook his head in worry, at this point he had given up thinking about it.
Their family at this moment is at the mercy of king of the country should they find their family guilty.

It's kind of amazing what both of them just did in just a few moments of the event.
But still, didn't this event just change the game story as a whole!?
