CHAPTER 12: ICE CRYSTAL BOW!

The final results of the annual examination had been released. When the large blackboard showed Mo Fan in first place, there were numerous people who madly rubbed their eyes in disbelief.

How was this Mo Fan so amazing? His examination results were surprisingly impressive; how did he surpass even the Lightning element’s Xu Zhaoting, and that Mu Bai from the Ice elemental family?

The matter with the grades had already caused numerous people to widen their eyes. The matter of Mo Fan cursing Mu Zhuoyun in front of everyone, and challenging a disciple of the Mu Family with the school supervisors being the witnesses had quickly been spread amongst the students. 

As a result, it didn’t take long before Mo Fan became famous in the school. Not only did he become a divine student of the school in a flash, even more surprising was that he was the most reckless student in all of Bo City!

The people who had some experience understood that Tian Lan Magic High wasn’t for your average Magicians. There were some impressive students within the one thousand five hundred student body. Sure. However, it was simply not on the same level as some certain Magic Highs and the noble families with deep foundations. 

The Hunter’s Union, Magic Association, Big families and noble families; any random Magician from them would be enough to suppress all of them.

The school was certainly a good choice for both grassroots and dragons. However, that didn’t mean that you could go challenge those second generation wizards!

Mo Fan didn’t care about the gossip happening around the school. Other than meditating and practising spellcasting, he would eat and sleep.

The only thing worth mentioning was that Mo Fan was placed within the Elite class.

The Elite class had a hundred individuals total. They were all in a large classroom, and practised in a large training ground.

The students in the Elite class were generally capable of controlling seven stars, it was just that they weren’t proficient enough in spellcasting.

Thus, when it was time for Practical classes, each of the elite elemental students demonstrated their magical prowess!

The teacher for the Practical classes remained Ms. Tang Yue. It was said that this newly arrived Practical teacher’s cultivation had far surpassed any of the other Practical teachers within the school. Even though she hadn’t been in the school for more than half a year, the Elite class’ Practical classes were being taught by her.

The homeroom teacher of the Elite class also remained Xue Musheng.

His class had an SS Grade and an S Grade students. If he wasn’t the homeroom teacher for the Elite class, who else could it be?

It was because of Mo Fan that Xue Musheng obtained so many benefits from the School Supervisors. Naturally, the School Supervisors had repeatedly instructed Xue Musheng to fix Mo Fan’s rebellious temperament.

Xue Musheng got a headache over this matter. He felt that whether Mo Fan was a failure in school or a divine student, he was just like Buddha, hard to please.

As the day turned dark... A youth slowly made his way into the mountain near his house which was already sold.

After reaching the highest point he was able to see the entirety of Bo City in its night glory. It was a beautiful view, but Mo Fan had seen a lot more beautiful views than this one.

But for some reason he just couldn’t get this view out of his head... 

It might be because he will not be able to see this view again in the future. 

Anyways it was almost time for his and Mu Ningxue’ meeting! 

He had already arrived but she was nowhere to be seen.

He waited for 10minutes, 20... 2 hours but there was no sign of Mu Ningxue... Was he stood up? 

“Well considering her personality it was quite possible...” Mo Fan felt like having a headache...

Nevertheless he still waited...

After 3 more hours she arrived. It was now 23:00pm. He looked at her expressionlessly as she avoided his eyes. 

“You know... I’ve never would’ve thought you will keep me waiting for 5 fucking hours...” Mo Fan said with a dead expression as he stared at the ice beauty feeling guilty in front of him.

“I-It couldn’t be helped after your fiasco this afternoon...” Mu Ningxue said in a very low voice while avoiding his gaze. 

“So? What did you want to talk about?” She asked while regaining her tranquil behaviour.

“Sigh... You know, we haven’t seen each other for so long. We could flirt aroun—” 

“I’m going home!” Mu Ningxue immediately turned and cut Mo Fan off after she heard his nonsense.

“Wait! Stop!! I’m  sorry... I’ll get to the point!” Mo Fan quickly apologized. 

Sigh... dealing with this girl was always quite a pain in the ass...

“Show me your Ice Crystal Bow!” Mo Fan said firmly.

Mu Ningxue was startled when she heard the name of her secret weapon!!

“You!! How did you know about it?!” Mu Ningxue alertly asked while backing away. 

“Ahh... You don’t need to back away like that! I didn’t mean to scare you or startle you!” Mo Fan quickly said. 

Mu Ningxue was confused but her hands were already emanating a cold aura. She was ready to restrain him.

“You didn’t answered my question! How did you knew about it! Don’t make me repeat myself!” Mu Ningxue demanded in a cold and chilling voice. 

The ground below her feet was already creaking as the ice slowly spread. 

“Would you believe me if I said I’m from the future?—” Just as he was about to complete his sentence a shard of ice flew past his cheek cutting it! 

The blood poured down from the cut, it was not deep but if it was a little to the left, it would’ve pierced his skull killing him instantly!

Mo Fan was startled, he didn’t think Mu Ningxue would act like this towards him.

“Okay okay! Calm down! I found out about it, when I visited Shanghai! I came across a person who also had an Ice Crystal Bow!” Mo Fan immediately made up a story.

“Wha?! Shanghai?” Mu Ningxue became even more confused.

“Yeah, that person’s name is Mu Yunzhi! She was also carrying an Ice Crystal Bow, she was from a branch Mu Clan. We quickly became friends after a while and she told me how she was suffering from the constant Ice torture of the Magic Bow.” Mo Fan started spewing total bull shit at her without flinching even once. 

“The Bow was sucking up her Ice Element cultivation while torturing her with strong ice waves, freezing her body, spirit and internal organs every night!” When Mo Fan talked about the symptoms, Mu Ningxue flinched as her eyes went wide! 

Mo Fan immediately took hold of this opportunity and hit the Iron while it was cold... Ugh, Hot!

“She told me that she saw a beautiful girl who was named Mu Ningxue from another Branch of Mu Clan who also had the Ice Crystal Bow.

Mu Yunzhi told me that she was already going to die in a few months because the bow was sucking up everything she had as it did not have an external source of ice element!” Mo Fan said everything.

Mu Yunzhi... Name did ring a bell in Mu Ningxue’ mind! 

“She’s dying?!” Mu Ningxue asked in astonishment.

“Yes... After that I researched a bit, about the bow myself and found out that the environment you carriers of the magic bow are in is very unsuitable. You yourself is also in constant torture right? 

As far as I can tell, you didn’t have this cold exterior, Xuexue... What the Mu Clan put inside you is extremely dangerous and your life is in danger. Don’t you have difficulty in cultivating your Ice Element? It’s because your ice element is being absorbed as nutrition for the bow to grow! 

And just think about it! There was another Ice Crystal Bow!! Mu Yunzhi told me that there were multiple crystals given to multiple people talented in Ice Magic, so that the bow could feast on them! 

After the people were drained to the last drop of element, the Mu Clan would extract the crystals out of them and distribute them to other people. Continuing this vicious cycle, until the crystals are complete, so they can fuse them together to make the complete Ice Crystal Bow.” 

“... Complete Ice Crystal Bow!” Mu Ningxue murmured.

“Mu Yunzhi was an Advanced Mage! Even she couldn’t survive the bow. Why do you think you will, who’s just an Intermediate Mage?” 

Mo Fan’s words were extremely clearly spoken and sounded quite convincing! 

In fact in the past Mu Ningxue told him that Mu Yunzhi was the reason she came to know about the Ice Crystal Bow’s viciousness. 

So, he played his cards right. He saw Mu Ningxue slowly letting her guard down.

“That’s...” Mu Ningxue was speechless and didn’t have words to say anything back.

“If you are still doubts, then equip you bow! Trust me!”

“I... I won’t” Mu Ningxue said. To be honest even Mu Ningxue knew that Mo Fan won’t be able to make up so much stuff which were all true! 

She did believed him but she didn’t want to believe his words as well... 

She really is stubborn... 

Mo Fan removed his Ice Soul seed fragments from his space pocket! But he made it seem as if they were in his pocket! 

He threw dozens of soul seed fragments near Mu Ningxue. 

The temperature dropped near Mu Ningxue’ vicinity even more. 

She was stunned looking at so many Soul Seed Fragments. She looked at Mo Fan in astonishment!

“They are not mine, they were given to me by Mu Yunzhi as gifts.” Mo Fan said.

“Equip your Ice Crystal Bow and look for yourself” 

She was still hesitant but she could somehow feel her bow becoming restless! Without giving the command, her bow manifested itself! 

A pure crystalline bow made of Ice immediately appeared in front of Mu Ningxue. The area within her vicinity turned into ice in an instant! 

Mo Fan quickly backed away! He and Mu Ningxue both saw the ice essence inside soul seed fragments slowly being sucked by the bow! 

In matters of seconds the Ice Soul seed fragments were absorbed by the bow. 

After eating them, it went inside Mu Ningxue again.

She felt her constant prickly pain of ice torture easing after the bow absorbed so many High quality soul seed fragments. She will only feel her pain easing when she was cultivating...

She was stunned looking at this sight and coming to this realisation.

What Mo Fan said was all true! If the bow was not constantly supplied by Ice Element, then her cultivation will be sucked dry instead and she will be turned into a cripple by the Mu Clan.

“I’m pretty sure, you’re not this dumb to not understand what had happened just now and what will happen in future if you stay ignorant.” Mo Fan said as he looked at the shocked Mu Ningxue.

“I... I will go and confront them right now!” Mu Ningxue said furiously. She was angry beyond belief! 

She always thought she was being tortured because of her innate talent, but no! She was being tortured from such a young age because of the Demonic Bow!

“What do you think you can do on your own, huh?” Mo Fan said.

“Huh?!”

“Mu Ningxue, why do you not understand... The strength you have right now is just not enough to achieve anything... You will be squashed before you even get to say anything.” Mo Fan said.

“An intermediate mage can’t do jackshit to the enormous Mu Clan... My advice for you now is to just lay low and go to this place and cultivate for 3-4 years quietly. It will be quite beneficial to you as well!” Mo Fan handed her a map of china where he had marked with red pen about she needs to go.

“This was also given to me by Mu Yunzhi... Alas, it’s a pity she is going to die, she was a kind soul... Well this is all I can help you with, the rest is up to you.” After giving the map, he walked away.

She opened the map and looked at the place circled in red.

“Tianshan Mountains...” She mumbled.

The coldest place in China, were the Tianshan Mountain! 

Mo Fan had marked a specific area in the Tianshan Mountain which was quite cold and perfect for Mu Ningxue to practice in!

The place was rich with pure Ice Element, a best place for Ice Elemental users like her to cultivate in!

Though it was a place outside the safe zone in the Monster’s territory, if she played her cards right, she could easily become an Advanced Mage without needing the help of any Galaxy Tool!

She glanced at Mo Fan’s direction, but he was already gone... 

Huu... She exhaled as she looked at the view of Bo City and made her decision.
