CHAPTER 16: FIELD TRIP PREPARATION!

It was in the evening time! The sun was setting and an orange hue was cast all over the sky!

A group of 5 students were facing off against a ferocious Snow White elegant looking Wolf, who looked at them lazily! The distance between them was at least around 150metres!

It looked strong with strong but lean muscles on it's forearms of all four legs!

A type of cold blue fire was emitting from his elbows and tip of the tail, as well as on its shoulder! It looked like a sort of royal Mane! And speaking of royalty, there was also a Crystal Crown on his forehead, which made his outstanding royal bloodline known to everyone!

It’s size was now almost 3.5metres! It might seemed lazy but it was still alertly Staring at the humans, who had come to challenge him again! It stood up to face them!

Similarly, a skinny looking boy in his school uniform stepped forward from the group. His eyes were filled with confidence but his chin was lowered which indicated he was not overconfident!

He bend down a little, ready to intercept the wolf!

A gentle breeze appeared which rustled his hair and clothes a little bit, but suddenly, the gentle breeze turned into a violent wind and started spinning around the skinny boy!

The monkey looking boy closed his eyes and the wind became even more violent! It started swirling around him so much, that it even carried the dust and fallen leaves along with it!

The snow white wolf didn’t give the skinny looking boy any face and started charging at him ferociously!

The other 4 members from the group, didn’t panicked even after looking at the mad charge of the wolf! Instead a girl with light brown hair and blue eyes stepped forward!

Her eyes suddenly started glowing with a Lapis Lazuli glow! Because of the wind being so strong her light brown hair Fluttered in the wind. She looked just like a beautiful fearless Valkyrie, ready to face off the monster!

A blue star orbit emerged from her extended hands as she fluently aligned the stars within 3seconds and casted her water spell elegantly!

Just as she casted her spell! The skinny boy opened his eyes and they glowed in an Azure glow which also surrounded his entire being!

“Water Barrier!” “Wind Track!”

The skinny looking heroic boy and beautiful looking Valkyrie girl chanted the names of their spells at the same time!

Innumerable Water droplets immediately emerged in front of the girl as it clustered together and formed a transparent water screen which had a blue hue highlighting it! The water screen was curved and covered the her and the 3 people behind her! It looked just like a Blue tinted OLED glass!

The water screen looked extremely flimsy, but the girl had a confident look in her eyes!

At the same time the Skinny Boy who had bent down, blasted towards the wolf fiercely without a hint of hesitation or fear!

He was sprinting inside his wind tunnel which carried him and increased his speed further! The wolf had crossed half the distance when suddenly he was met with the skinny boy who arrived in front of him in seconds!

The wolf smiled, it opened it’s mouth and was going to bite at the boy! But suddenly the boy made a hard curve the moment he noticed the wolf opening it’s mouth!

The wolf bit at the air and was a little disappointed but immediately chased after the boy!

“Yes!” The boy was happy that the wolf was now chasing after him!

He directed the wolf away from the group!

“Well well~ isn’t he showing off a little too much~” A Guy with purple eyes who looked handsome said while looking at the skinny boy.

“You both, start chanting your destructive spells! I’ll make you an opening!” An elegant and handsome guy who was standing beside the guy with the purple eyes said. He had delicate features and one could mistake him for a girl if not for his male physique!

“Don’t worry! This time we’ll definitely defeat it!” A beautiful heroic looking girl said sternly!

The elegant looking guy left the Water barrier and ran towards an area away from the wolf! He took the support of a boulder and started casting his spell!

Within 2seconds he formed a beautiful cyan coloured Star Orbit! “Now, Xiaohou!!” He yelled at the skinny boy who was guiding the wolf away from the group!

The skinny boy named Zhang Xiaohou noticed the elegant boy, Mu Bai’s signal and started running towards him while guiding the mad wolf with him!

It didn’t take them even 4 seconds to reach Mu Bai!

The moment Zhang Xiaohou was within 10metres from Mu Bai he again made a sharp right turn!

The wolf was fooled again and couldn’t stop in time and crashed at the boulder! The snow white wolf had enormous strength as it literally crushed the boulder apart with his crash!

The moment it was going to crash, Mu Bai leapt into the air, “He Yu Now!!” He shouted at the girl who deployed the water barrier!

She smiled as she had already finished casting her second spell, “Water Barrier!”

The innumerably glistening water droplets appeared and created a water screen again! But this time it floated into air which in turn became a stepping stone for Mu Bai to soar even higher into the air!

Mu Bai who now soared at the height of 10metres from the ground, “Ice Spread!” chanted his spell! A beautiful layer of Ice erupted from his Star Orbit!

It smashed directly on the wolf which was stuck under the rubble of the boulder!

The ice hit the wolf hard and froze him along with the rubble on the spot!

The wolf was frozen under the rubble because of Mu Bai’s spell! But this type of attack won’t stop the wolf for even 3 seconds! Nor will it kill it, it was only to create an opening for his team to barrage it with attacks!

“Fire Burst!!!” The girl who looked heroic, charged out of the water barrier from behind He Yu!

Her name was Zhou Min! She ran like hell and shot her spell at the wolf stuck in ice!

The scorching flames were pummelled forward with great force! The ice instantly melted as soon as the flames landed on the wolf!!

Boom!!

A small explosion took place, but not even the Wolf’s fur was burnt with that level of fire! It just stared at her and scoffed~

“Water Barrier!” He Yu casted another spell, but this time instead of creating a water screen like before, she just used her spell to douse the wolf in water!

“Hehe~” Zhou Min smiled as she was carried away by Zhang Xiaohou who quickly took her away from the wolf!

“Laugh now if you can! LIGHTNING STRIKE!!” The handsome boy with purple eyes dashed forward towards the wolf and casted his spell fearlessly at it!

The Star orbit contained a tremendous Lightning Force that was about to erupt like a volcano.

“Bzzt~~~~”

An astonishing arc of Lightning sparked across Xu Zhaoting’s body like a python. In the next second, the restless Lightning in the atmosphere began to assemble within his right arm, emitting an ear-piercing noise! He pointed his finger towards the wolf!

An arc-like Lightning element emerged and shot toward the wolf mercilessly, the Lightning arc came forth from the high altitude. Every strike was like a whip filled with immense power, and landed on the wolf whipping at him ruthlessly!

Awu?! The wolf startled.

The lightning will further be enhanced because of He Yu’s water spell!

The wolf’s eyes shined with a cyan glow! The crystal crown on his forehead started glowing a little bit, and a few ice crystals quickly emerged from them!

They quickly shot at the lightning arc slithering like a dirty snake and froze it! Yes! The lightning froze!!

Xu Zhaoting’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets! He was shocked and didn’t think something like this could even be possible!!

But he had no time to be surprised because the wolf had become impatient, it leapt towards Xu Zhaoting and almost reached him in an instant!

“Water Barrier!!” the moment the wolf changed its target to Xu Zhaoting, He Yu casted another Water spell! She was already ready to cast it!

But the wolf was also cunning, it could’ve easily tore apart such a flimsy barrier, but it scoffed and simply jumped above Xu Zhaoting and charged at the tanker He Yu!

He Yu was startled! She tried to cast another barrier, but the wolf’s speed suddenly increased a bit! She wasn’t able to cast it in time. By the time she cast it, the wolf had already entered inside the barrier and body slammed her.

“Kyaa!!” He Yu screamed! It didn’t hurt her at all since the wolf had no intention of doing so~

After that it chased after Zhang Xiaohou who was carrying Zhou Min!

Zhang Xiaohou ran with everything he had, but still couldn’t outrun the wolf! The wolf simply arrived in front of the skinny monkey at every turn, proving that his speed was still not enough at all! After that it simply carried Zhang Xiaohou and Zhou Min after he was exhausted and placed near He Yu!

The next person it went after was of course it’s favourite person with the Ice Element, Mu Bai!

Mu Bai quickly used his Ice element and casted another spell, but the wolf was also an Ice Elemental beast to begin with, and ruler of it too.

It simply reversed the spell as it took control over the surrounding ice element!

Mu Bai was caught in his own spell and was unable to move. The wolf came near and licked his face all over!

“Ugh.. for god’s sake!” Mu Bai grunted in utter disgust! He was a clean freak after all!

The last person remaining, was Xu Zhaoting, but before the wolf could even do anything to him, he himself had already went and sat near the trio like an obedient little kid.

Huff... The wolf huffed and carried the Mu Bai over after defrosting him.

“Sigh... We still couldn’t beat him! Even after all this time!” He Yu lamented but she was not sad.

The wolf shrunk and turned into a small puppy as it went and sat on He Yu’s lap! He Yu immediately cuddled the adorable fur ball!

She absolutely adored his puppy form! Similarly Zhou Min also came over and started cuddling him!

“But out of all the innumerable tries, this one was the most effective one!” Zhang Xiaohou said.

“Yes, you’re right. After all, it used it’s spell for the first time to deal with us!” Mu Bai replied affirming Zhang Xiaohou’s sentence.

“That means, it definitely thought we were a threat right?” Xu Zhaoting asked while patting the puppy’s head!

“Hmm... But as usual my fire has no effect on him at all...” Zhou Min said in disappointment.

“But it did disoriented it a bit, right?” He Yu said positively!

“And not only that but our team work and coordination with each other has improved so much!” Zhang Xiaohou followed up.

“That’s right. We were a mess when we just started out, but now we can understand each other without voicing out our thoughts!” Mu Bai said with a smile. He had also mellowed out quite a bit!

“That’s true!” Xu Zhaoting affirmed!

As the five were chatting, Mo Fan and Tang Yue came out of the woods.

The Snow Frost Star Wolf immediately ran up to Tang Yue and dived into her voluptuous, soft and springy embrace! Tang Yue caught the wolf puppy.

“You worked so hard today! Good boy! Let’s have some delicious treats when we get back later on!” Tang Yue said as she cuddled the Snow Frost Star Wolf.

Awu~ Awuu~

Mo Fan was disgusted looking at his supposedly cool pet, acting that spoilt.

“Great team work guys!” Mo Fan complimented the five students sitting on the ground!

“He Yu.”

“Yes, teacher Mo Fan!” She immediately got up and stood straight!

“Great job on casting all those water barriers exactly when it was needed! And I really liked it that you even casted the water barrier at the start of the battle as a precautionary measure to keep your damage dealers safe! Keep it up!” Mo Fan complimented He Yu as he pat her head.

“Hehe~ it was nothing teacher~” He Yu’s face immediately melted when Mo Fan patted her head and complimented her! She acted like a small girl in front of Mo Fan!

“Houzi.”

“Yeah, Brother Fan!” Zhang Xiaohou also got up.

“Good Job on not getting scared and diverting Wolfe’s attention even though a monster was charging at you! Also try to be extra careful when making those sharp turns! Look and gauge your surroundings properly, see what you can make use of and what will get in your way! And also a great job at controlling your speed properly, and not outrunning your prey because it might just lose its interest in you and go after your team members if it knows it can’t catch you!” Mo Fan praised Zhang Xiaohou as well, while patting his shoulder!

“Yes! Brother Fan!!” Zhang Xiaohou was also happy to see that Mo Fan noticed a lot of things which he did!

“Xu Zhaoting.”

“Yeah I’m up~” Xu Zhaoting replied lazily.

“First of all, when you’re a damage dealer don’t just recklessly charge towards your opponent. Because no matter even if it’s trapped, the opponent might surprise you in ways you yourself might not know about! This goes for everyone Okay? Also, your casting of the spell was very nice! The power behind it was no joke, if it would’ve hit Wolfy, it might’ve been paralysed for about half a second! But if you were dealing with a normal monster, what happened right now might not have happened and you guys would’ve killed the monster by now!” Mo Fan lectured Xu Zhaoting but also praised him!

After all, in normal conditions, his lightning strike would not have been frozen and paralysed the monster, or maybe even killed a Weak Servant Class monster because of He Yu’s quick thinking and dousing it with water!

But his Wolfy was normally itself ×5 stronger than any creature at its level, and that’s not counting its royal bloodline... And now it was in the Advancing period of Servant Class. It was basically the strongest Servant Class beast there was!

“Next, Mu Bai!”

“...” Mu Bai didn’t answered but still stood up!

“... Great Job on trapping the monster and good thinking of going outside the range of a monster before casting your spell! Safety first! Always!!” Mo Fan raised his thumb.

“...!” Mu Bai was surprised Mo Fan noticed what he was thinking! He didn’t speak anything, but his lips slightly curled up.

“Now, Zhou Min!”

“Yes...” Zhou Min was disappointed in herself, as her spell didn’t do anything at all... No she herself didn’t do anything at all! She hung her head as she didn’t wanted to meet his eyes.

“Good Work, on casting your spell at the moment the wolf was frozen and trapped! You knew how Mu Bai’s spell will only keep it trapped for a limited time and didn’t hesitated at all and casted your spell at the best possible moment! If it was in normal circumstances, your spell might’ve dealt a lot of life threatening damage to the monster, giving enough time for Xu Zhaoting to finish it off! So be confident in yourself! And I suppose you were the one who made this kind of meticulous plan, while considering everyone’s strength and weaknesses didn’t you?” Mo Fan said as he acknowledged Zhou Min’s hard work!

Her eyes glistened as she stared at Mo Fan who pat her head as well! It felt like she was going to cry but she didn’t! She withheld her tears and seeing it He Yu hugged her!

Xu Zhaoting also patted her shoulder, Zhang Xiaohou also gave a thumbs up and Mu Bai also nodded at Mo Fan’s statement!

The tears she withheld suddenly started pouring down, like dam burst!

Mo Fan smiled warmly seeing the scene in front of him where his classmates were supporting each other.

Suddenly he remembered a same scene but in this one, it was his totem seeking gang and college friends having dinner party in a local diner!

As he remembered those days he couldn’t help but make a lonely expression on his face... Knowing that these memories of his now belonged to a forgotten timeline just saddened him more.

But they will always be alive inside Mo Fan’s heart!

“They’ve grown a lot in just 8 months! Still feels like just yesterday when they were running away for their life from little wolfy~” Tang Yue said with a heart-warming smile.

“It was a lot of work, but with this, I’m hundred percent sure that with their team work, they can kill a servant class monster with ease.” Mo Fan said while looking proud!

“They did a great job on pushing Wolfy this far with just their Tier one spells!” Tang Yue said while nodding.

“Indeed, even though Wolfy wasn’t even using 5% of it’s full strength, they still made him use his ice magic, by just relying on their tier one spells!” Mo Fan also affirmed!

“They reached Tier two just two months back after all! It seems stimulating them with actual monster battles also stimulate their stardust, huh!”

“It sure does!”

“Okay guys! Round up! Now, tomorrow is the day of the field trip, all 5 of you will be the group leader of each team which will have 20 students from your class!”

The entire Elite class had a total of 100 people, they would be divided into five groups with roughly twenty students in each.

Mo Fan was not a leader as he didn’t want to be. He liked doing the pig eat the tiger shtick! He quietly shifted and sided with 5 students as he himself was a student.

Tang Yue smiled a little noticing how Mo Fan was not arrogant despite being a genius and how he understood his own position as a student well enough!

“The trip will be for 2months, in this time I want you guys to train your classmates as well as make sure that no one falls behind! It will be an arduous journey which will test your patience to the limit! But you must not give up on anyone from your team, as well as on yourself as well!

Always try to think out of box, make your thinking capability flexible and adapt to the situation! Before rushing headfirst into anything, calmly analyse it and see a way out for yourself first and then think about others!

Make sure to be well prepared for anything when you’re out of safe zone, and always remember that nowhere is safe when you’re outside! Be extremely careful, double/triple check everything! Always carry a stock of healing and poison detox potion with you everywhere! Treat and disinfect even the smallest of the wounds outside immediately on the spot! Don’t take any injury lightly.

The school will provide the bare minimum necessities to everyone tomorrow, but use those only when absolutely necessary! Keep it as a last resort. Find and hunt some game (Animals) while you’re outside, filter the water from the streams and collect the Early morning dews on leaves and boil the water before drinking it! Teach everyone in your group what you have learned in this 8months of hellish training!

Do you understand?” Tang Yue said sternly, she gave a brief lecture on the basics of outside the safe zone! She was very thorough with it.

“Yes! Ma’am!!” All 6 of them shouted at the same time!

“Good~ Now let’s go and eat something nice, it’ll be my treat~” Tang Yue’s sternness, softened up and a smile blossomed on her face as she said cheerfully~

“You’re the best Ms. Tang Yue~”

“Yes!! Let’s go!!”

“I’m starving!”

“Yay!!”

“Haha! Nothing beats a good meal after working hard~”

“Mo Fan why do you sound like an old man?”

“Shut up, Green tea man!”
