CHAPTER 46: MILITARY INSTRUCTOR BAI YANG, THE SACRIFICE! PART: I

After travelling on foot for about one hour, Mo Fan and the Twenty-six thousand people finally left the vicinity of the city! 

They now entered the forested mountainous region. There was a road in the centre but it was way too narrow. There were tall trees and thicket on Both sides of the road. 

The people that were walking freely, were now clustered together as they didn’t wanted to go into the forest! 

The wolf army was patrolling on both sides of the road away from people’s eye! 

Mo Fan was floating right above the crowd, he was now able to see the Safe Zone shelter! It was not that far away! 

“Good just a little more and we’ll reach there soon!” Mo Fan muttered.

He descended to the front of the group and walked from there on. 

As Mo Fan was walking along, he suddenly sneezed, “Achoo!”

He rubbed his nose, wondering where that came from. Perhaps someone was concerned about him.

Swoosh~ Swoosh~~

Mo Fan felt a change in the wind, his eyes changed colours into a mysterious silver as he squinted and glanced ahead. 

He saw a skinny monkey like boy riding a gust of wind towards him frantically! 

Voom~

His eyes turned back to their usual deep blue colour. 

“Brother Fan!” Zhang Xiaohou shouted his name!

“What happened?” Mo Fan asked.

“It’s Instructor Bai Yang!” Zhang Xiaohou pointed towards the instructor who also came on his ‘NEW’ spirit wolf summoned beast!

It was different from the One-eyed Magic Wolf, which stood on its two rear legs. This deep blue creature’s four limbs were on the ground, The hair from the back of its head stretched all the way to its neck and shoulders. 

It was distinctly different from the savage One-eyed Magic Wolf that everyone had encountered before.

“Instructor Bai, isn’t this Instructor Bai!?”

“Thank heavens, we unexpectedly found a person from the Army at a place like this.” Xue Musheng seemed as though he was relieved from a great burden.

Mo Fan looked over and discovered the person sitting on the Spirit Wolf was indeed the one of the Practical Instructors, Bai Yang.

It is precisely that unusual Summoner, whose Spirit Wolf that had been used to train everyone and was also killed by everyone.

Bai Yang didn’t seem like he only had a single Spirit Wolf… It was just unfortunate that this one’s physique and aura was slightly inferior to the one which the gang had slaughtered.

“Whoa… How come so many people are here, didn’t retreat in time?” Bai Yang was astonished seeing so many people heading towards the shelter!

“How come, you’re here on your own?” Zhou Min felt something was not right. 

After all, This Bai Yang was out of the Safe-zone all alone, even though he had a summon beast, he was still a Basic Mage who can be literally be torn in to pieces by a group of monsters! 

“I was told to do a recon mission, I’m pretty sure you also noticed but there was a huge tornado in the city all of a sudden! So, Commander told me to go and investigate it.” said Bai Yang.

“Chief Military Instructor told you to go alone on your own? That’s not possible” He Yu said with suspicion. 

Ever since she started her training with Mo Fan and Tang Yue, she knew how dangerous a monster is to even a mage, so it's even more of a reason why their Chief Instructor Zhankong to not know about it. There’s no way he would send his own men out to die.

Bai Yang’s eye brow twitched listening to He Yu. His aura had begun to seep out from his body slowly.

Mo Fan immediately noticed an aura of darkness, his lips subconsciously creeped into a smile! He quickly hid it with his hand and turned to He Yu and said, “It might also be because Zhankong trusts him and his capabilities.” He said with a smile as he instantly held her wrist. 

He Yu was confused, but she immediately got the message to shut up. 

“Y-yeah you might be right~ haha~” said He Yu with a fake smile.

Bai Yang’s aura dissipated when heard Mo Fan taking his side!

“Oh right, I will contact the Army Chief to dispatch reinforcements to protect them, in the mean time we’ll wait around.” Bai Yang took off his army hat and revealed a gentle smile.

“Instructor Bai Yang, do you know how much danger we’ve encountered on the way here? Fortunately, Mo Fan had experience in dealing with Monsters, or else we wouldn’t be able to reach here,” Wang Sanpang immediately said to Bai Yang, unable to stop his mouth from running off.

“Instructor Bai, many of our classmates died to the monsters!” 

“Thank God you’re here, Instructor Bai!!” 

“It’s the military everyone, We’re saved!!” 

The crowd started cheering hearing the military’s name! 

They cried tears of joy, they were finally safe! 

Many people who didn’t knew each other were hugging each other! They were sharing their joy.

“I’m sorry to hear that you had to go through that. Everyone! I assure you that the military will get here soon!” Bai Yang said as he turned towards the crowd. 

“Military!” 

“We are finally safe!”

“Thank the heavens!”

“We are saved!!” 

“I survived this calamity!!”

The civilians were relieved as soon as they heard the words, some were crying, while some were jumping with joy! The news of the military was quickly passed on like a wave and even the people at the back heard about it! 

Seeing the happy faces of the people, Bai Yang couldn’t help but let out a warm smile.

Bzz— BZZ!!

Voom~

His Black Diamond Earing suddenly started making some static noise and glowed wondrously. His smiling face immediately turned expressionless as he turned around and walked back to his wolf. He acted like his walkie-talkie was making sounds instead. 

After few moments he immediately glanced at Mo Fan! 

Mo Fan felt Bai Yang’s weird and obsessed gaze, his eyes changed colours and became silver! 

Bai Yang moved away from the Spirit Wolf and strode in front of Mo Fan. His eyes were fixated on Mo Fan as he said, “We are all looking for you.”

“We? Looking for me? But I thought you were on a recon mission?” Mo Fan said while raising his eyebrow.

“Oh it’s like this! I just received a message on my walkie-talkie. This calamity was caused by the Black Vatican. Not only did they lure the Darkwing Wolf over, they are planning on luring over even more Commander level Monsters with use of the Underground Holy Spring to completely eradicate Bo City,” Bai Yang said to Mo Fan gravely.

“So it was the Black Vatican, those things that can’t even be called animals!” Chen Weiliang said, indignant at the injustice.

“Vice-Captain Lin Yuxin should’ve handed the Underground Holy Spring to you, right?” Bai Yang continued.

Mo Fan didn’t reply, he was just staring at Instructor Bai Yang.

Bai Yang looked at Mo Fan up and down, he was wondering whether this thing had been properly protected before he continued, 

“Give the Underground Holy Spring to me. I’ll immediately deliver it to Boss Zhankong. This thing is extremely important, if it lands on the hands of the Black Vatican, then our Bo City is finished.”

Everyone’s gaze also landed on Mo Fan. They had never thought that Mo Fan was actually guarding such an important thing.

“Mo Fan, so you were actually secretly protecting the Underground Holy Spring. Fortunately, we have met up with Instructor Bai. Give the Underground Holy Spring to him, and we should also hurry to the Safety Shelters,” Director Wang said.

Bai Yang was so excited that he took a few steps forward, he practically wanted to snatch the Underground Holy Spring from Mo Fan’s hands. Unfortunately, he didn’t see where the Underground Holy Spring was .

As his voice faded, the incredibly meek Spirit Wolf suddenly took a big stride toward Mo Fan. Its sharp claws were raised, it was actually going to slam right into Mo Fan. Spirit Wolf’s heavy claw was about to seize Mo Fan’s life.

As this unexpected thing happened, everyone was completely dumbstruck.
