CHAPTER 58: DESCENT OF THE IMMORTAL FAIRY~

ORIGINAL Author: Chaos

SPINOFF Author: Vester

In the Healthcare Hospital of the Safe-zone shelter,

A wave of injured civilians, courtesy of Mo Fan and the calamity, inundated the small hospital, creating an orchestrated chaos.

The limited medical staff found themselves outnumbered by the surge of patients, prompting the establishment of makeshift shelters to accommodate the overflow.

Even non-nursing personnel, including those manning the Front Desk and HR, were pressed into service, alongside willing civilians.

In the midst of this tumult, Dr. Song faced a critical case, “Dr. Song, this patient has lost a lot of blood and his wound is festering!” A nurse said in a panic.

“It’s a type 1 Cursed wound! We need a Light Element mage to purify it before we can heal it… Call Xiao Gu and other Light Element Mages from among those students which just came in!” Dr. Song replied.

The Nurse immediately ran and went to call the Xiao Gu light element guy.

Dr. Song, undeterred by the severity of the situation, wielded a sterile blade with precision, unveiling a grotesque festering wound.

“Aaaaahh!!!” The guy with the wound screamed in pain.

The patient’s anguished screams echoed as cursed black blood, thicker than the norm, spilled forth, wreaking   havoc on healthy cells. Dr. Song, with a calm determination, pressed the sides of the wound to extract every drop to its last, making the patient further convulse in pain.

“Pacify~”

Dr. Song’s eyes emitted a gentle pink glow which tried to alleviate the patient’s pain providing him a fleeting respite before the impending ordeal, because what he was going to do next might as well shock him dead!

Seizing a bottle of the Spirit, Dr. Song delicately dispensed its cleansing essence onto the wound, ensuring meticulous disinfection. He then artfully dabbed a touch more onto the sterile bandage, to clean nearby outer area with it.

“AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!”

Having found a moment of respite under the ‘Pacify’ spell, the individual plunged from tranquillity into an abyss of torment, unleashing anguished screams that echoed at the pinnacle of his endurance before succumbing to unconsciousness in the wake of unbearable pain.

“Dr. Song! I’ve brought Xiao Gu! I’ll go and gather the Light Element students now.” The nurse returned, accompanied by a young man whose appearance suggested he was in his twenties and quickly went away.

“Xiao Gu, get to it!” Dr. Song ordered in stern voice.

“Y-Yes!” Xiao Gu nodded his head and swiftly started aligning fluorescent yellow coloured 49 stars of Light Element!

In just ten seconds, he connected all the stars and made a beautiful Star Pattern!

“Brilliant Light! Purify!!” A huge yellow glow erupted from his entire persona!

An iridescent radiance permeated the surroundings, casting an blinding glow that seized the attention of all present. Amidst the onlookers—primarily ordinary civilians distanced from the mystique of magic—an air of awe enveloped the scene.

For many, this marked their inaugural encounter with the arcane arts, as the spectacle unfolded before their eyes.

In the eyes of these observers, a Primary Level Mage held the stature of a colossal, influential figure. Thus, an Intermediate Mage, such as Xiao Gu wielding his extraordinary magic, was elevated to a quasi-deity, an embodiment of god-tier prowess.

Murmurs surged through the crowd, accompanied by glimmers of admiration in their eyes, as they bore witness to the awe-inspiring spectacle unfolding in their previously magic-deprived lives.

The expansive reach of the ’Purify’ spell extended throughout the surroundings, bestowing its cleansing touch upon all patients afflicted by the same Curse attacks in the immediate vicinity.

Dr. Song was satisfied with his skill level!

“Good job, Xiao Gu! Go rest for a little bit.” He praised Xiao Gu who looked a little Haggard now.

He had been using the spell continuously for a little too long and his mana reserves were reaching their limit.

“Thank you… Just give me 10min and I’ll be back on my feet again.” Xiao Gu said and sat down on the bench nearby.

“Sigh… it’s a miracle that so many people were still able to survive through all that.”

With a flourish, Dr. Song invoked the intermediate spell of the Heal element—Healing Fairies! A myriad of fifteen serene illusory butterflies materialized, fluttering towards the awaiting patients.

Their delicate touch worked like a seamless ballet, swiftly mending wounds with unparalleled finesse before moving on to others, vanishing only after expending their healing prowess.

The profound depth of Dr. Song’s cultivation was evident, transcending into the realm of Advanced Level in the Heal Element.

The tents resonated with the harmonious melody of recovery as patients, one by one, experienced the transformative touch of restoration.

“W-Whoa…”

“My wounds are… healed?!”

“Mine too!!

“This is the most magical shit, I’ve ever seen in my entire life!”

“Those butterflies look so mesmerizing~”

“They look otherworldly”

A symphony of gratitude echoed through the gathering of patients and civilians, an immediate chorus of praise that elevated Dr. Song’s standing to celestial heights.

In their eyes, he transcended mere healer and now bore the ethereal mantle of a saviour, a saint-like figure whose presence seemed to weave miracles.

Some, overwhelmed by gratitude, humbled themselves in kowtows, their hearts brimming with joy at having emerged from the shadows of calamity into the embrace of survival.

“Dr. Song!” A sweet and beautiful voice called Dr. Song.

As Dr. Song turned, he was captivated by the sight of an ageless beauty emanating a youthful aura, gliding elegantly from the main hospital building—a true embodiment of an immortal fairy.

The ethereal beauty of the fifteen-year-old girl was accentuated by the delicate, translucent butterfly wings gracefully adorning her back.

The enchanting presence of the Ye Xinxia was like a delicate wisp of moonlight, casting a Sublime glow upon her.

Her beauty, a celestial tapestry of grace and innocence, adorned with features that seemed sculpted by whispers of a distant realm. Radiating an otherworldly charm, she carried the aura of a fleeting dream, where every glance revealed the magic within her youthful essence.

Dr. Song, like many others in the vicinity, was momentarily captivated by her presence, enveloped in a serene enchantment that rendered them unable to divert their gaze.

“Dr. Song?”

Ye Xinxia hovered gracefully by his side, a perplexed expression adorning her features as she wondered about the dazed gaze directed toward her.

“A-Ahem! It’s nothing! What happened?”

Swiftly grounding himself, Dr. Song redirected his attention to the immediate task at hand and addressed Ye Xinxia.
