"Do you think Commander Zhankong or Commander Liu can take one on?" A nearby Battlemage nervously inquired.

"I can't… I just ascended to Super Level last month, and I've yet to forge my own Star Palace," replied Commander Liu, the Battlemaga with a scar over one eye.

"But... If it's only an Inferior Ruler, maybe Commander Zhankong can eliminate it with our support," she added, her confidence tinged with doubt.

"A Ruler-level beast is unpredictable, and its power is at its peak. I have no confidence in taking one down alone, even if it's of the lowest level," echoed a voice from above—Commander Zhankong. He watched everything meticulously, ready to intervene if anything seemed amiss.

"Sigh, then it seems we have lost the war completely," Commander Liu sighed.

"Eyes of the Rock Demon!" A resonant voice echoed through the air.

In response, another Battlemage swiftly aligned the stars, forming a breathtaking Star constellation before casting an Advanced Earth Element Spell. Startled, the nearby Battlemages looked at their comrade in confusion.

"We cannot afford to waste any more time on this beast! We must evacuate the people to another cuty ASAP!" declared the Battlemage casting the Advanced Earth Element Spell.

A wave of greyish-brown energy erupted from the marvellous Star Constellation, turning everything in its path into solid rocks. 

FWOOOSH~

The petrifying force surged towards the Darkwing Wolf, immobilized under the debris of collapsed buildings. The rubble surrounding the wolf promptly transformed into unyielding stone.

Grr!! 

RRRRHHGGGG!!!!

Furiously defying paralysis inflicted by the Silent Deadly Bolt and ignoring the intense pain coursing through its body, the Darkwing Wolf stirred.

URRRGHHH!!! 

The Darkwing Wolf's body suddenly emitted an intense orange glow as it started to growl vengefully, the brilliance enveloping its massive form.

At the peak of its radiance, the glow explosively burst forth. Debris and smoke scattered as the colossal figure of the Darkwing Wolf became visible.

The petrifying energy powered by Spirit Grade Elemental Core unleashed by the Battlemage was obliterated by the Darkwing Wolf, which charged towards the group of Battlemages in an unprecedented rage.

[[Water Constellation Curtain!!]] 

Thirty Battlemages shouted simultaneously as they noticed the Darkwing Wolf charging ferociously. 

Thirty beautiful blue Star Constellations were smoothly constructed, slowly interlocking with each other as they merged into one substantial Star Constellation.

A colossal bluish transparent barrier, shaped like a bubble, enveloped all the Battlemages within. 

The combined Water Curtain spell cast by over 30 Advanced Level Mages was nothing short of formidable. Each Battlemage possessed at least a Spirit-grade Elemental Core, and some even boasted a Soul-grade Elemental Core (formerly known as Soul Seed).

The berserk Darkwing Wolf, bathed in an orange glow, charged at the seemingly delicate blue barrier with its Full Might!

It extended its thick and sturdy forehead and the orange glow enveloping it’s entire being added another layer of absolute power to it's charge!

“BRACE FOR IMPAAACT!!!” Zhankong yelled at the top of his lungs as he stared at the enormous creature charging towards them! Even he was slightly intimidated by the charge!

!THUDNK!

Urrrghhh… 

Splash!!

A sound akin to a hammer striking a slab of metal, only louder, reverberated through the surroundings. The Great Commander-level Monster furiously slammed into the barrier. 

Instead of shattering like a bubble, the seemingly flimsy barrier proved as sturdy as metal, not budging an inch.

However, the same could not be said for the Darkwing Wolf's head—it cracked and shattered completely.

Blood and brain matter splattered onto the barrier as the Darkwing met its demise and plummeted through the air.

Inside the barrier, the Battlemages were left in shock and confusion as they stared at each other looking for an answer.

THUD!! 

THOOOMM!!!!

The Darkwing Wolf collapsed onto the ground from the air, giving rise to a massive dust cloud.…

“It died… just like that?” A Battlemage uttered in confusion.

“W-well the Barrier was indeed too strong, but I think the Wolf was just dumb, to think it would collide it’s head against a combination barrier spell casted by thirty advanced mages.” 

“Still… this ending seems so anti-climactic…” 

“Lets just focus on evacuation before the Rulers arrive.”

“Y-Yeah..” 

Everyone else agreed and prepared to depart but Zhankong and Commander Liu stared above them like a hawk! They seemed to have noticed some fluctuations in space but they were not able to see who it was because of the clouds blocking their view.

A Super Mage’s senses were very sharp and nothing to scoff at!

A silhouette hovered eighty meters above the Battlemages, suspended in mid-air as his hair and clothes fluttered in the wind. His eyes emitted a soft pink glow that gradually dissipated.

He turned his head and zipped into the distance, seamlessly continuing his journey, as though time itself was a luxury he couldn’t afford. 

Though an air of calmness enveloped the figure, the eyes betrayed a subtle undercurrent of worry and fear.
