Chapter 15: taxes, monsters and currency
During that time Rito went out few times to check the situation when he was relaxing.
At the end of the week he found that Teuchi was ill.
Rito went out on boat and he helped Teuchi go to the doctor that lives nearby as there is no one at the hospital.
The rain is heavy and there are many kinds of illnesses spreading.
Well the doctor prescribed a medicine but there are no medical stores or medicinal pills available right now.
After dropping them back at their homes, Rito silently gave them the medicine that he brought along.
Also he warned Ayame and Teuchi.
“You should be careful to not to trust anyone.
During this time many low level ninja with cheap characters would try to get close to you in the name of love and use your survival points to improve themselves.
When they become strong they will shun you like used tissue paper.
Don’t trust anyone that comes to you for help.
Also don’t tell anyone that I gave you medicine.
If anyone knows about that they will think that we hoarded medicine and would not hesitate kill us to get medicine.

After sending Rito, Ayame returned back into the house.
The she told Teuchi that there is a young ninja yesterday that tried to flirt with her and even proposed to her.
When he knows that Teuchi was ill he wanted to get him some medicine.
But he asked her to tell her answer before getting the medicine.
After listening to the words of Ayame Teuchi immediately made his decision.
They decided to become chef and maid at Rito’s house for both protection and for becoming strong in the future.

After coming back Rito told his grandfather about the incident that happened.
Also the new taxation has been decided.
For ordinary citizens it was 5 survival points, for ninja it was decided based on the missions they do.
Also there is news about the beasts that are mutated became big and dangerous has spread.
It was discovered by the people that maintain cattle.
At the same time there are wild wolves and other beasts in the forest surrounding the village.

Other than the survival points these monster cores are another form of currency.
But the value differs based on the monster core.
Most of the monster cores are attribute less and there are few attribute monster cores that have the basic elemental affinity.
Those monster cores are useful to the people that had specific attribute affinity.
They can improve their affinity and the speed of proficiency can be improved faster.
For now there is not much of a problem.
The week has already passed and Rito has reached the basic Genin level with the gains of extra profits from the system.
Also he got some rewards but none of them are related to blood line improvement.
The village started to form groups of ninja to enter the forest to hunt down the mutated beast monsters for food.
Then they are selling it to the people for survival points.
Quickly the value of money is gone and the rain is falling heavier day by day.
It is now falling like there is a hole in the sky.
The people are speculating that the world is about to end and some other nonsense.
During this time Rito tried to meet with Naruto but he was already taken under the custody of third Hokage.
At least for now they will treat Naruto well.
Only after few years did they start their stupidity.
The entire ninja world is like this as they people are fighting for their lives.
The people of the land of the wind are actually crying with sadness.
Actually they wanted to have this heavy rain for a long time but now that it was raining they were unable to bear the change.
Ninja can adapt quickly but ordinary citizens will have a hard time.
