Description:
The Assassin class is a scout-line class only granted to people with great stealth abilities and have assassinated enough creatures to obtain the [Mysterious Serial Killer] title.
This class is one of the most variable classes, as the concept of "assassination" can be connected to anything, as long as it involves killing a target while keeping themselves hidden. Due to this, many of the rewards in the Assassin class is a random skill. However, despite being called random, the class will only grant a skill that is effective for the class holder's style as an Assassin.
The final skill obtainable from this class, [Grim Incarnation], is based secret move developed by a cult that birthed the first assassins. The primary ability of the skill covers the Assassin appearance in black robes and turning whatever tools they use into black, unadorned versions of themselves. Used projectile weapons will keep this state even after the skill holder turns of the skill unless they have recovered the said projectile weapon.
There have been few reported [Grim Incarnation] users, but their appearance will always be different from the others. This may have to do with the other skills of the Assassin, their racial traits, or their ways of being an Assassin.
The skill can reach at highest LV10, gaining new abilities for each level instead of upgrading the old ones. This makes the skill similar to a Unique Skill, but it is classified as an Active Skill. The reason for this is because the abilities obtained with each level is too weak to be classified as a Unique Skill. On the other hand, they are more difficult to detect than Unique Skill, whose middle name is being flashy.
The requirements for obtaining the Assassin class was eased on the 25th day of Agnir, year 327 of the New Terrian Calendar, due to the World System update that resolved troubles related to many classes and evolutions related to classes, the point of interest here being that the requirements for obtaining [Mysterious Serial Killer] has changed.
Now, instead of killing a certain amount of creatures while unseen by any creatures until they have reached the required amount of kills, one only needs to assassinate creatures until they reached the required number. One must also avoid being revealed as the killer.
Abilities obtained from leveling up the Assassin class:
- [Assassin Tool Creation LV1] and [Thief Tool Creation LV1]
- [Assassin Arts LV1] and one random Thief-type skill.
- [Free Movement LV1]
- One random Movement-type skill.
- One random Weapon-type skill.
- [Fatal Wounds LV1]
- One random skill of the following choices:
- [Life Theft LV1]
- [Mana Theft LV1]
- [Stamina Theft LV1]
- [Grim Incarnation LV1]
Each entry on the list is available when reaching a class level of a tenfold. The first two items are received the moment one obtains the class. In the case of Assassin being selected as the Main class, one will get the three first items instead. The final item is therefore only obtainable for those with Assassin as the Main class.
Lily's comment: S-so coooool!! Get that skill, boss! Get that awesome skill!!
Garami's comment: In due time, in due time! However, ain't that date they're talking about tonight?1This discussion is happening right after chapter 6 in Arc 3.
Garami vai ganhar uma transformação!
The comments at the end aren’t in italics. Also, I look forward to seeing grim incarnation.
It's based on the Assassin Class Card from the Fate series. Just love that design.
finally the murderers class !!! I hope Garami gets the stamina resistance theft!
Ps:thanks for the chapter!
Resistance skill? Those skills are for stealing the life-status values of multiple opponents at once. Like a Drain Touch for several targets, but limited use. Also, it's not an AoE skill, but a multi-target skill, so one can use it without harming allies that are in a brawl with the enemy.
@Greydra why is Lily so excited for Garami to gain that ability ??? she wants to eat Garami ??? ru wanted Garami to eat her !!!
@Shoto No, no, no. It's her chimera instincts (chuunibyo) that were critically hit by the name [Grim Incarnation]
@Greydra hummm, I understand. you had promised a fight Garami x kur kiga, so how about adding killer x killer to the mix ?? Lily could gain the skill she loves.
@Shoto No can do. Growth Chimeras can only obtain skills the monsters have obtained on their own, without the skill shop, titles, and classes. Oh, and blessings as well.
@Greydra, I understand, but maybe, for some reason, there might be an animal with a similar ability, right?
@Shoto That skill is the Magnum opus of the Assassin class, and some random animal is supposed to have it?
Also, I'm planning a special skill for Lily that's more fitting than transforming into an "Old Man of the Mountain".
@Greydra
It would not be a random animal, perhaps some monster classified B or A that they would find randomly, after all with the luck of Garami, I do not doubt that she will go to bathe in the lake just to find a nest of sea dragons. I'm waiting for Lily's skill, but don't forget the boxing lobster.
@Shoto Hmm... mountain lobster?
@Greydra I'm referring to the lobster that has the strongest punch in the world, Odontodactylus scyllarus, if it exists on a mountain it could be. But you can wait for some time that Garami goes to the coast, it doesn't have to be now, after all this is an excellent skill and because it is a lobster it would have a very strong shell and regeneration ability ... this monster would be a hard freak to kill and if it was slow, it gets punched in the face.
@Shoto True... and the next arc's gonna happen in the same region as Mira's hometown... a fishing trip that ends up fighting a rank B lobster? Gonna have to think about this one seriously!
@Greydra
such a lobster would have to be a region chief with the minimum rank being B +, this monster is very powerful, most likely rank A. After all, not even a dragon would stand to take a punch from this monster. then we will visit the city of Mira, it turns out to be cool.
