In front of the West gate, some cars waited. They had Klaye’s clothes, but they didn’t find anything in the house. They took the dogs and some animals over to let them try to find some smell they could follow.

Vincent stood next to a car and looked into the distance. Because of the snow and cold, there weren’t too many cars coming and going. It made easier the searching.

Egbert looked up to the sky and sighed. Suddenly, he was hugged from behind.

„He’ll be okay.” Lex murmured in his ear.

„I hope too... But it’s dark, and I can’t see the stars...” Egbert was afraid the snow would fall anytime. It seemed the luck wasn’t on their side.

They heard some barking, and someone shouted. „They come back!”

One last time, Vincent looked into the forest, then turned to the car. „Let’s go!”

In the middle of the forest, a handsome man walked with a cat in his arms. If someone saw him, they would think he just lazily walked around, yet the scenery around him changed fast.

The cat in his arms looked around with wide eyes. She watched the evolved animals and plants gave them way. They trembled with fear but didn’t dare to run away. What if it would anger the man?

She was a little excited. As the queen, she deserved this kind of treatment. But she would be happier if the frightening man didn’t hold her in his hands.

The bush moved in front of them, and another man appeared. His clothes were dirty and torn. His face was white as if it was completely bloodless...

Queen’s chin fell. ’A zombie?!’

The man patted her head. „Yes. He is the strongest one who came to attack the city.”

’... If you can control him, then why do you need me?’

The man sighed. „They don’t know me. If I go there, they’ll feel threatened and attack us. Even if they knew, they can’t defeat us, they’ll try their best. The man heard the mocking in her tone but didn’t care. „That’s why I need you. It’s your responsibility to make them help us instead of starting a fight!”

The man’s smile made the fur stood up on Queen’s back. She looked away in the distance. ’... I’ll try my best!’

„Haha! I count on you, little kitty!” the man happily pinched her ear.

Queen pulled her head away and shouted. ’My name is Queen!’

The man was amused. „Yes, yes, my queen!”

The zombie was impatient and stepped left then right. He looked back as if something dangerous observed him.

The man noticed his unusual behavior and looked behind him. His eyes lit up. „Oh, you didn’t just find them, but even led them here! Great! It saves a lot of time!”

From the darkness, a big monster walked out. His shining golden eyes looked at them with killing intent. ’You have a big mouth, human!’

„Thank you for your compliment!” the man laughed.

Queen was indifferent... She saw too many shocking things today. The monster in front of her was the leader of the wolves. And the man communicated with him without her help... If someone told her, this man was a God, she would believe it. Was there anything he couldn’t do? She didn’t believe it...

The wolf looked at the man. He could feel his power was above him. He couldn’t run. Originally he wanted to leave, but he didn’t feel any threat from the human. If he could, he wanted to have a good relationship with him. It would be more beneficial than his alliance with the human from that city. He looked at the zombie. ’So you can control them... The zombie lowered his head and rattled. He felt wronged.

The man patted his head and turned to the wolf. „If you help me, then I’ll control the zombies and send them away. Don’t they attack more often nowadays?”

The wolf remembered about the injured ones. They got medicines from the humans, but it couldn’t save everyone. They lost some good fighters...

’Okay.’ the wolf nodded, then howled. The forest became lively in no time.

„Great! Give me a ride!” the man happily jumped to him.

The wolf wanted to refuse, but when he saw those red eyes, he shivered and lay down.

The man laughed and jumped on his back. He patted his neck. „Go, Thunder!”

The wolf shuddered. Why his first thought was ‘it was a good name’ instead of ‘I want to throw down this human’?! He turned into a dog?!

Queen didn’t felt better. She really didn’t understand why she was brought here?! She didn’t need to do anything!

They ran out, then heard a shout from behind.

„Oh! Send someone to bring that zombie... He would be too heartbroken if we leave him here...” the man sighed. That zombie was his best follower, but sometimes he felt he was too problematic...

The cars reached the forest and went in. Because of the patrolling teams, there were a lot of new roads. They just went around the city and didn’t lead outside, but some animals grew bigger than a car, and they trampled some new roads. It made it harder for them to find the right one.

The dogs ran outside the cars. Sometimes, they became uncertain and spend minutes running around and find the right way.

Vincent became more and more annoyed. He couldn’t sit still, so he left the car. In the big snow, he was faster on his legs. He hated himself didn’t have tracking skills.

He looked at Egbert. He was trained in this major.

Egbert felt heartbroken. He trained for years and believed in his skills, yet it became useless after the ability users appeared. There were too many special powers. He couldn’t find out what they used.

„I’m afraid they have someone with gravity control ability.” he looked at Lex. „That way, they could make the car fly and let someone make these false traces...”

Lex sighed. „They know too much about our abilities, but we are in the dark about them...”

Vincent’s face darkened. He believed, he removed all her pawns... But how could he forget about Valen?! In the past, he caused a lot of trouble, but he disappeared before the zombies emerged. They continued to look around, and after half an hour, they found an open place. There were traces of two cars. One appeared out of nowhere, and the other disappeared... They left these traces behind as if they said, even if you know it, you can’t find us!

They walked around and tried to find anything... Anything that could give them a little hope or their young master would turn into the demon king and kill all of them!

The searching team heard some howling. In the beginning, they didn’t pay any attention to it, but it became louder. They realized, they came closer and closer.

Vincent stayed behind and looked to the way of the noises. He could feel they approached them. If it was just the wolves, he didn’t care, but he felt something dangerous was with them.

„Young master!” Egbert felt it too. Their situation was already bad, and if that thing intent to attack them... they couldn’t survive.

Vincent gritted his teeth. „Let’s wait and see. Maybe they just passing by...”

Howard stood next to them. He knew that thing was too strong, they couldn’t fight against it. But he couldn’t understand, why did he felt it was familiar? Where did he felt it before? That presence...

The wolves approached them and slowed down. They stood aside and let their leader came out.

Vincent and the others watched the wolf with vigilance. They felt the strong presence came from him. But it couldn’t be... They met 2 months before, and at that time, he had only part of that power...

The flashlight fell on the ground from Howard’s hand. He saw a human sat on the wolf’s back and he couldn’t believe it. Slowly, the others noticed it too, and they felt shocked.

The man sat upright, and his graceful appearance gave him a majestic feeling. He indifferently looked around. He had a perfect picture of a monarch... if he didn’t hold a cat in his arms.

Vincent stepped out and looked into the man’s red eyes. He couldn’t believe what he saw. „... When did you awaken, Dedra?!”

The man’s facial features softened, and he laughed softly. „This name sounds good! I like it!”
