Coldness. Bitterly cold was the first thing Klaye felt. He opened his eyes and blankly looked in front of himself. Some men stood a little farther from him and chatted. Through his broken glasses, Klaye watched their faces indifferently. Slowly his brain woke up too and recognized those faces. His eyes widened and stared at Ulland’s face.

The men happily spoke about where to go and what to do from now on.

Klaye’s face suddenly darkened, then he hit his dead to the ground.

Easy life?! Not thrilling?! Do you really needed this shit?! Why the hell did you raise a flag?! Do you want to die?!

The others heard the noise and turned over. They blankly looked at Klaye. They didn’t understand what happened to him.

Ulland evilly smiled at him and walked over. „Hahaha! Do you like our present?”

Klaye looked at him vigilantly. He tried to move, but his hands and foot were tied up, and his body was sore from the cold.

Yeoman stepped out and grabbed his legs. „We still have time... You have a nice face and good skin. I always wanted to try out how it feels. It’s such a waste to let Vincent enjoy it alone!”

Klaye’s face paled. He tried to fight back, but a sudden pain in his stomach stopped him. He groaned and fell back.

„Hehe! I help you!” another man walked over. He grabbed Klaye’s shoulders and held him down.

Yeoman removed the rope on Klaye’s legs and wanted to remove his pants. But Klaye’s strength suddenly came back and kicked him.

Klaye wanted to fight, but another man walked over and grabbed his leg. „Be good! It’s your last chance to enjoy yourself before your death!”

The old memories emerged, and Klaye was horrified. He didn’t want the same ending! He kicked with his other leg and bit the man who held his shoulders. When a strong kick landed on his stomach, his body became sore, but he didn’t release the hand he bit.

A hit landed on his neck, then another one on his face. In the end, the strength in his jaw disappeared, and he fell to the ground. The bloody taste made his panic more.

„I told you to be good!” the man roared and lifted his leg to kick him again.

Klaye wanted to move away, but he didn’t have any strength left. In desperation, he closed his eyes. But the pain didn’t come. He only heard the other’s surprised voices. Klaye opened his eyes and saw a transparent wall between him and the guys. He looked around and saw it completely surrounded him. Klaye was confused. He was sure he didn’t have this kind of power. Then where did it come from?

An extremely strong pain in his stomach made him sweat. His eyes widened. If it wasn’t his power, then it could only be the child’s. His thought was chaotic from the pain. He didn’t notice the shell faded away.

„What was that ability?!” Gardena’s surprised voice echoed in the warehouse.

„We don’t know...” Ulland murmured.

They walked over to Gardena and listened to the latest news.

Klaye tried to calm down and listened too. The pain slowly erased in his body. He heard they mentioned Vincent, but he didn’t understand the rest.

Gardena sighed and murmured. „This book turned upside down...”

Klaye’s eyes widened and looked at her with astonishment.

Gardena felt it and looked back at him. When their eyes met, it was as if they understood everything. Gardena waved and sighed. „You guys go out! I want to speak to him alone!”

The others were still angry, but they understood they couldn’t do anything against that power. They knew their second team was on the way with a group of zombies. They didn’t have too much time to play around.

Once the guys went out, Gardena sat on the ground and looked at Klaye with shining eyes. „I never thought I’ll meet here with another actor!”

Klaye was speechless. Her personality change was too fast, but it made him understood he met with a senior. He guessed there would be other systems too, but it was his first time to meet with another actor. But remembering about her performance, maybe he met more, but they played their performance were too good.

„I know you have a lot of questions, but we don’t have too enough time. I give you my address. You can visit me anytime.”

Klaye was confused. „What address?”

Gardena was stunned. „Don’t tell me you are a beginner?! Didn’t you left that room yet?!”

„Can you go out?” Klaye’s eyes lit up.

„... Yes. Once you collect enough points as an actor or open up another profession.” Gardena shook her head. „How can my luck be so bad? I don’t have the patience to teach.”

„Hey! Maybe I didn’t leave that room, but I’m not a beginner! I already completed a thousand missions!” Klaye was angry. Even if they were fellow actors, he hated her.

„Hahaha! You aren’t just a beginner, but stupid too! Do you believe that the books are holy and unchangeable? Do you desperately try to follow your role?” Gardena laughed. She left it really funny. „Those books only exist to introduce to you the world you’ll go to. It helps you to understand the personality of the body you take over. Your role was told on the first day when you appeared in that room. If you are lucky, the storyline will follow the book. If not, you need to adjust to it, just don’t abandon your character’s setting...”

„Is it that simple?” Klaye couldn’t believe in her.

„Not really. There are some events that you can’t skip... And there’re other ways too. Looking at your performance in this world, you’re more suitable to become a collector...” Gardena watched him and an evil smile appeared on her face. „But I really want to know who pulled you out from the worlds. Such a pure and innocent soul... Witch evildoer did you angered?”

Klaye was confused after hearing these. He tried to calm down and sort out his thoughts. Yet before he could ask more, they heard a car’s engine.

„Oh, it’s time to go.” Gardena put a paper into Klaye’s pocket and stood up. She took out a penknife and cut the rope on his wrists.

Klaye massaged his hands and looked after the leaving woman. He wasn’t able to understand his situation.

„As a fellow actor, I give you a little help. The zombies reach this place after 2 minutes. You can try and hide somewhere. Maybe your lover will find you before it’s too late.” Gardena grinned and closed the warehouse’s door.

Klaye looked out of the window and saw the cars leaving. He knew it wasn’t a lie, they pulled over a group of zombies. The door wasn’t strong, he could break it and go out, but there wasn’t any vehicle outside, and he couldn’t run fast. His only chance was to hide in the warehouse. But there weren’t too many things left. There wasn’t a little room or a basement in the warehouse...

Klaye sighed and looked up. He could climb up and hug one of the girders. It was almost 4 meters above the ground. The zombies couldn’t reach him there. But he needed something to stand on to reach it. He looked around, but most of the boxes weren’t enough strong to hold his weight.

Kaye found some useful things and put them together. He got on them, but felt the pain in his stomach and stopped.

The door was broken by the zombies. They ran into the warehouse.

Klaye panicked and stood up. He didn’t care about the pain anymore. Dying here was more frightening.

Klaye grabbed the girder and tried to pull himself up, but some zombies were fast and already reached him. His legs were grabbed and scratched. He bit his lips because of the pain but didn’t let go of the girder. He knew these injuries couldn’t kill him, but once he felt down, he would be eaten.

Klaye kicked the zombies and tried to pull himself up, but a sudden stronger pain made him shout, and almost lost his power.

An evolved zombie jumped up and bit out a part of his left leg. Being pulled down, he felt the pain in his stomach become stronger. The strong stimulation caused his brain to go blank for a second.

The transparent shell appeared again and pushed away the zombies. It helped Klaye to get a little time to collect his power.

Klaye felt that his body became lighter, and he pulled himself up. He lay down on the girder and hugged it.

The weather was cold. Klaye’s legs bled, and the pain was almost unbearable in his stomach. He was close to faint, but he bit his lips and tried his best to stay awake. He hugged the girder stronger.

It doesn’t hurt! It doesn’t hurt! Klaye hypnotized himself. He couldn’t faint or everything would end. The child protected him, now it was his turn to protect it. Vincent would come and save them. He just needed to wait patiently. A whole night already passed. It was enough to find their traces. He just needed to wait a little more, just a little more, and they would be here...

Klaye didn’t saw the zombie who bit him died. The ones who scratched him or touched his blood became slower. As if a slow working poison, Klaye’s blood invaded their body and destroyed the virus. After 10 minutes, those low level zombies fell on the ground. They died without realizing it.

As a living person, Klaye was delicious to them. The lowest level zombies stood under him and tried to reach him. His blood dropped down and killed them one after another. They couldn’t realize the danger he meant to them.

The evolved zombies were different. They saw the death of their companions and they could feel some kind of danger in Klaye’s blood. They could breathe and the smell of blood what originally made them anxious changed into something disgusting. They couldn’t understand it. Breathing was painful, so they left the warehouse and ran away...
