This is not a chapter. Sorry ‘bout that. This not-a-chapter will include the answer to all the questions I saw, including update schedules and stuff.

Update schedule:
Now, I have a 9 to 5 job and writing is mostly a hobby of mine - a hobby that I’ve neglected for a really long time now. Work has been rather hectic this past week and I unable to find any time to write. So my stockpile of chapters has dwindled to a mere 2 unedited and 1 draft from a nice 10 chapters.
But, I have the basic idea for the chapters ahead so I’ll try and post as much as possible. I’ll try to post, say, 7 chapters a week, but you probably shouldn’t expect more than 4 or 5, as work will continue to be hectic for the next week or so. I WILL try to maintain a 3000 word count per chapter.
Now, about the story itself,
- THE most asked question is romance. And my answer is still: I dunno. And will likely stay so for the next few volumes. At least until the 5th or 6th year. Although, I did expect that most people would want a GinnyxLuna pairing, as I myself would have - were I a reader. If I still don’t have an idea by the end of, say, 6th year, then I’ll just throw up a poll.
- Scabbers. Well, you’ll see in the next volume.
- Her special ability to assimilate. When I had the idea for this, I had not foreseen how utterly broken this could be. I had not planned any restrictions on it all! She might have ended up becoming a super goddess or something by the end of Christmas if I had left it like that! While having such a massively OP protagonist is quite entertaining in its own way, that is not what I had in mind for this fanfic. So, I nerfed it. And then nerfed it some more.
- I have said this on an A/N before but: Assimilate regenerates every year, but she can only use 7 without it causing irreparable damage.
- Also, many people think she had become too OP too quickly. That is not the case. Her ability only gives her what STRICTLY NOT DETRIMENTAL TO HER. The primary and most important thing considered by it is stability. Anything - be it Knowledge, Power, Stats, Abilities or Memories - detrimental to her physical or mental state WILL BE REMOVED, even if the resultant gain is nothing. This means that she did not get the majority of Riddle’s mastery in Dark Arts. She has knowledge of it, but no expertise. You cannot learn Dark Arts without it affecting you. Heck, you can’t learn MAGIC without it affecting you.
- Plus, in this fic skill in magic matters more.
- In a nutshell, she is not OP, but she IS very strong.
- No, she won’t be eating the other horcruxes. I already have planned which ones to assimilate for the next decade.
- Many people have noted and I myself have noted that I tend to tell more than show, so i’ll be trying to fix that.
- Also, I just realised that I’d completely forgotten to put Potion-making as a skill in her status screen!
- An interesting question I saw asked if she became immortal after the basilisk. She did not. And she might choose not to become immortal at all.
Also, if you have more questions, post it on this not-a-chapter’s comment section. I’ll try to answer as many as I can.
TL;DR: 4-7 chappy/week, 3000 word per chappy; romance: undecided; MC stronk, not OP; MC not immortal

Thank god you've finally remembered to update the skill section. Potion making. Gardening/herbology? Dueling? Perhaps physical fitness/running? Any other physical discipline/activity?
Astronomy? Though that particular torture hasn't been mentioned in this fanfiction so far.
Not many things I can think of that are really relevant to track. Perhaps language skills?

As for immortality, depending on the method, simple longevity is quite easy. Immortality like the curse is normally only for bestowed varieties. If you get immortality through your own methods,, chances are you can make a method to resolve it either to commit suicide or live out your natural life.

What would be good targets, or perhaps everyone’s seven picks for assimilation be? (Note, your picks, not what you think for Ginny. Avoid pressuring our writer!) I feel like various magical beasts have great potential, or the deathly hallows. Maybe only the soul stone to test? (The stone is not a horcrux, but the ring holding it is)
My picks personally? Philosopher's Stone (obviously, I wanna be immortal), Invisibility Cloak (Just in case I was bored out of my mind thanks to immortality and decided to go rob bank? I don't really care for the other two)... And I can't think of anymore off the top of my head
Edit: I came back to edit this because I'd thought of more things I'd like: The Boggart for it's Fear Perception, The Mirror of Erised for it's ability to perceive a person's deepest desire, legilimency from some powerful legilimens, and the above (Immortality, and Invisibility)

The philosopher's stone and deathly hallows all feel like double edged swords, like a unicorn would be. Though then again the system is supposed to protect you from that. Time turners just seem a bit overpowered and boring.
Occamy still seem like something I'd need to future proof and make sure I can control my size.
There's an issue with combined objects only counting as one object, since Ginny absorbed the diadem and the horcrux within with only 1 charge, so it's likely the resurrection stone would come along with the horcrux. On that note, I'd transfigure (if possible) all the objects I'd want together into one object and assimilate them all at once. Or just put them all in an expanding bag and absorb that. Specific items would be all the hallows, philosopher's stone, all founder relics besides maybe the locket depending on if canon Sally was really evil, and maybe just some generic rock that I would put a bunch of magic in the absorb to potentially increase my magic stat. Then the other 6 charges I'd use on various beasts with useful talents, or I'd search for other relics of power throughout the would.
@DaoistDumbledore What do you think a dementor would do with an assimilate?
Sword of Gryffindor as it "only took substances which strengthened it into itself, which could then be used against enemies" and so is basically a passive absorb. Dementor to eat the rest of the horcruxes and any other souls+despair aura+amortal. Firebolt for innate ability to fly. Resurrection Stone/Ring for more of Tom's soul and ability to summon shades of the dead. Various magical beasts and beings(Vella for allure and flaming bird transformation, house elf for aperatiton in warded areas) for their abilities if applicable. Elder wand (good luck actually getting it) for instant magic win. Sorting Hat for ligemency(but not really as it would destroy a cornerstone of Hogwarts and the Houses). Hogwarts itself (don't know what you would get besides an execution from all British Wizards.
Time turner for temporal magic. Veil of Death- ?. Other objects from the Department of Mysteries
@GreedandSloth time turner is interesting (and available next term). It's too f*cky, though. Either a too easy solution for problems, or too complicated to keep track of.

@DaoistDumbledore would a phoenix work healing tears rebirth from ashes and teleportation even when inside hogwarts would be great to have (although seeing she didn't get death eyes or venom i guesse it might be a waste)
(Did she get poison resistance or immunity from the basilisk maybe she just hasn't moticed jet? I guesse she somewhat did to magical poison because of internal magic / magic resist but what about normal poison?)
@Kratos370 Her body is now essentially made of magic (aetherform) so I doubt, logically speaking, any poison would effect her. She hasn't assimilated any living thing yet, and the only non-objects the author mentioned were Boggarts (which are amortal, i.e not living) and some legilimens (why can't she just learn that normally?), so I'm of the opinion that an immortal creature like a Phoenix, since it cannot die, cannot be assimilated. I could be wrong though, in which case flame travel and all-purpose healing tears would be a really good addition.

@Ploptian you're right! Everything has either been an object or dead so far. Didn't really think about that. So she can't absorb Dementors, Phoenix, etc. She could absorb a dead dragon, nundu, other apex predator of the magical world. And of course magical artifacts made from immortal creatures. And maybe theoretically immortal creatures that are put in some kind of stasis, so they don't count as "living" on time of assimilation.

Very carefully, she walked over to the basilisk, her wand at the ready. Her caution was in vain as she realised that while the basilisk was not dead - merely unconscious - it was very weak and could not muster any strength.
(After that she waits 5 minutes to calm down but it never said if the basalisk dies in that time so i asume it is alive since it was specifically mentioned to be alive)
@Kratos370 so putting a phoenix in stasis would work for assimilating.
@Ploptian no it was still alive, just really weak!!!
I think waiting a year and assimilating Voldemort (the homuncolus baby form) by assaulting him and peter on the tri wizard Tournament would work, the she would have all knowledge of him (accelerating dumbledores death and taking his knowledge is also an option). If pheonixes dont work i would go with the beasts that can becom invisible (their hairs are used for invisibility cloaks) and predict the future to a certain degree (would probably work well with her hyper cognition). Then a houself or kobolt (a bit research is necesarry but as far as i know they have different magic and can cast wandless), the ghost of the bloody baron or helena ravenclaw (i guess you cant get closer to the four founders, (anything related to herpo, merlin, morgana or other ancient magicans (like the ones in egypt would also be worth, as they might have knowledge of lost magic, you cant get otherwise).
More unique choices would be the mirror erised to see what other people desire, sibble trewlany (to get seer abilities), a bottle of felix felices (for permanent luck), the mauraders map (maybe a gps would work as well), the weird door of death where sirius died in the movies (would be a big gamble), proffesor bins (not to get the knowledge but to avoid unnecesarry history lessons) or a bezoar for poision immunity.
@Sergeandgreen those options would make her outright evil, though. Really now, a HOUSE ELF? People like you would probably shoot a slave for smiling wrong.
@Tajarim you know that you dont have to kill them yourself. I guess taking one of the heads from sirius blacks house would work. And i dont see the difference between killing voldemorts homuncolus and his horcruxes. Dumbledore also isnt a saint and would normally die anyway (you could naturally save him but is he someone worth saving? I mean not for his usefullness but for his personality?). The bloody baron was also a murderer, herpo was even worse. I guess killing trewlany, helena or bins could be classified as evil unless you wait for her natural death. But after reading about what she did to peter i guess morality isnt as important to her.
And before i forget it, she could also assimilate grindelwald. He is waiting for death anyway.
