The planet / realm on which Godslayer Lysette takes place.  It has one large, cross-shaped continent called Kracielle, and is surrounded by smaller continents in each of the four corners of the world ocean.

The World of the Gods of Aimarion, who were said to descend down to create the human realm a very long time ago.  For reasons unknown to Lysette, they cannot exist on Aimarion for more than brief stints.

The capital of Domaria, Domark consists of two portions.  An annulus on the surface of Aimarion, home to commoners, and the sky island of Domark, where the King of Domaria, wealthy nobles, and powerful Cultivators all reside.  The Domark Cultivation Academy is located on the southeast quadrant of the sky island.

The kingdom which claims dominion over the lands of central Kraciell, and where the first portion of our story takes place.  It consists largely of temperate grasslands and forests, in addition to some land which has been repurposed for farming and human settlement.

A small village along the western edge of Domaria in west-central Kraciell.  Lysette was born and grew up here, until one fateful blood moon when inquisitors from the Church of Asterion launched a raid on the town.  Everyone except Lysette died on that night, their souls taken to fuel Asterion's fell ambitions.

The process of taking Essence gathered from the natural world and binding it to one's Spark, bolstering one's physical and mental acuity, and/or granting the wielder access to supernatural powers.  Those who possess the ability to Cultivate are called, surprising no one, Cultivator

Mysterious energy found throughout Aimarion.  Cultivators have awakened to the ability to gather this Essence within themselves, granting them superhuman abilities.

(From a game perspective, Essence can be thought of as EXP, and Cultivation the process of using EXP to level up.)

A powerful artifact Created by Lysette, this cloak bends light around her, granting her limited invisibility, especially in low-light conditions.  More notably, it also mitigates the drawbacks of her shadow dissolution technique.

A divine artifact found within the Scepter of the Moon, but which has since been grafted into Lysette's right thigh.  Using it, she can teleport at will, though it both permanently drains her stored Essence, and also deals internal damage to her physical body.

The protagonist of our story.  A former herbalist living in the town of Osstia near the western edge of the Kingdom of Domaria.  On the night when Osstia was destroyed by inquisitors, Lysette made the choice to sacrifice her humanness to save her life, being reborn as a Godslayer.

Zarielle, the Goddess of Darkness, offered Lysette a simple trade when she was upon death's door: Power for Service.  As for whether Zarielle's offer or motives are as transparent as she claimed to Lysette, the latter can only speculate.

The God of the Moon, and sometimes known as 'The All-Seeing Eye of the Moon'.  Inquisitors serving his church annihilated the village of Osstia one fateful night, leaving only Lysette to survive the attack.  As a result, Lysette has sworn vengeance against him and all who serve him, and will stop at nothing to see him dead at her feet.

A young female Cultivator, age 18, who hails from the countryside of Domaria.  By random chance, she met Lysette while traveling to the capital of Domark to attend classes at the Domark Cultivation Academy.  She was successful in her admission, and is now Lysette's friend and roommate.

A fiery redhead with personality to match, Serrena is a second-year student at the Academy, Age 20.  Thinks quite highly of herself and is extremely dedicated to her craft.  Despite Lysette's prowess in the Cultivation arts, she still feels strangely confident in her abilities.

A snooty, uptight student at the Academy, Age 22, third-year.  The scion of the Dozel noble family and great-granddaughter of its patriarch, Philidor Dozel.  Looks down upon all students who don't share her pretentious and vaunted lineage, and seems to delight in making excuses to humiliate the same.  Reluctantly admitted defeat and apologized after losing to Lysette in a duel, but is the young Godslayer the only one with seemingly limitless capacity for vengeance?

An intelligent, sapient crow who serves under Zarielle and now acts as Lysette's familiar and guide in her journey as a Godslayer.

Mirae is a second-year student at the Academy, and, after hearing about Lysette's accomplishments in her duels against Kiarra and Francis, has become more than a little enamored with the young Godslayer.  They hold her in almost reverent regard, and seek to support her however they can.
