Travelling In Space [Lore]

There are three main types of Travel:

1: Gateways

Gateways are artificial wormholes.

Using electric energy, space gets shredded and a tunnel through Subspace is created.

Zaria's Facts: Subspace is a higher plane, a magical one and Gateways open Gates using technological power, which is why they are so inefficient energy wise.

2: Hyperspace Lanes:

Going through Hyperspace is fast, Hyperspace is seperated into layers. Level 4 Travel has been achived, but Level 2 or 3 Travel is the normal.

Hyperspace Lanes are stable corridors through Hyperspace that can be used for travel.

Hyperspace Storms: Outside of the Lanes Storms will push Ships around, drain Shields, and destroy matter.

Zaria's Facts: Hyperspace is actually the Abbys, so when using the Abyss, they actually dive ito the Abyss, where physics, and therefore distance matter less. For some reason there are no Abyssals.

3: FTL (Fater Than Light):

For places where no known Lanes lead, you can only reach by FLT until you can build a Gateway.

FTL is inefficient, and for long range it is recommended to go into Crystasis. To save resources and to negate the forces that the body is under. Inertial Dampeners have limits after all.

Zaria's Facts: This part makes no sense, how do those flimsy shields manage to deflect anything? The energy calculations are way off. Hitting a grant of sand at 2c should shred a ship. Naturally, a fluff drive is a magical cheat.
