Never had to make an account before, but since the author was asking for a review, I'll report for duty on this one, tha'ts because it was worth it.

To be fair I am not an avid reader of post apocalypse stories but it hit well with this one maybe because the author is focusing on Warhammer 40k and trying to make something similar to it. WH doesn't take itself seriously which is part of the fun and the author is copying that in the lore of the story inside his story, making grandiose lore side by side with grounded gritty reality. The worldbuilding is peak this way.

As for the MC, he's a guy with a good head, not op, and has a lot of personality going on. The unique thing I've noticed in other stories is that the MC never met the FL by the story start but here, the MC already has a girl he is in a relationship from the get go, which is fun. The author promised no harem and on that word of honor I shall make this review 5/5.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only... overpriced miniatures.

An excellent story balancing the grim dark with lighthearted comedy and slice of life. The characters are well fleshed out with different personalities and goals. Quite the achievement for a story about supposed armies of miniatures, though it might get harder to maintain the same quality when the number of summons increase.

The pacing is similarly excellent, neither too fast to overlook action or detail nor too slow. Base building, army training, action, diplomacy, slice of life, etc. The rate of improvement is believable and the power creep tame. MC isn't spamming space marines to trivialise problems (more than I can say for some gw writers out there). Instead he uses the best faction, the imperial guard. After all, the planet broke before the guard. All the while, he grows to become a competent commander. 

My only gripe might be to turn up the grimdark a little more. Heroic last stands, epic one liners/speeches, noble sacrifices, hard choices of survival vs humanity, etc. But this is more of a personal taste more than anything wrong with the story.

All in all, 5/5 keep up the good work!

I just cant stop reading this, yes it feels a little slow, but every chap is worth reading, adam is the MC, but we get perspective of others which give new flavours to the story, still revolves mostly on adam. Cant wait to read far and see the army.

This is basically a warhammer inspired fic, but made absolutely brilliant with its own lore. Love it.

As of this review I am up to date with the story. Thus far the story has been a very competent faction building in system apocalypse, complete with relatively mature romances/themes now and there. It feels like some story threads have been lost part way through (Sophie, Hammerhead and Biscuit not being mentioned much for ~40-50 chapters), but overall the story is a solid read and I think best in class for western faction building. Worth reading if it’s what you are looking for.

so far, it's an interesting story. One of my favorite tropes of summoning with a unique spin on summoning - based on the imagination and the ability to create a history for these characters. And I find myself deeply engrossed in wanting to know more about how it works as well as the continuation of the story. We are early in the story as it is a slow burn and it doesn't shy away from the more gory aspects. The author portrays the grimdark theme quite well while keeping it subtle enough.

Im new to grimdark, so I can't say if its done welI, think this is a good introduction

The authors writing is well done for the most part, all characters make enough sense when using suspension of disbelief 

It is pretty good about letting you get to know characters before adding it
