Derived from the old norse 'farinn', roughly meaning "travelled-one". Can also mean "handsome servant" depending on the origin, as well as "journey" or "to travel".

A young human who has recently become the 'Farin', or carrier, who is supposed to bring the sacrifice to the Gods. Chosen due to his ability to be very controlled and calm, Farin still enjoys following his instincts to find out more about the race he serves.

Long, white-blue hair and blue eyes. Can't see too far. Wears a grey and blue robe for his work and dark blue robe outside.

Farin is more a scheming type than openly aggressive. His tendency to get overly interested in certain topics would have gotten him into trouble more than once, but his innocent and gentle looks often help him out.

Derived from an old Nordic name. Meaning "Elf" and "Warrior."

A young man of the race humanity believes to be Gods.  More curious in nature than his fellow members of the species, he has been watching the carriers bring in the sacrifice.

Has long red hair and reddish-brown fur. His eyes are golden with the slit pupils common for his race and two pairs of blueish horns. While younger than Farin, they are the same height.

Alvarr is significantly stronger than a human, easily carrying much more weight despite not obviously having more muscles.

Farin's childhood friend.

Born in a well-off family, Skari has learned reading and writing from an early age. He is a scholar who works at the library under the tutelage of the library's owner. Generally easy-going and happy by nature, Skari still snaps violently when treated as a girl or harassed.

He has a small, slender body and dark, curly hair along with bright green eyes. Paired with his soft face and missing muscles, he is often mistaken as a young woman in his wide robes.

Farin's childhood friend.

An apprentice hunter with considerable muscle. His family is close to Skari's since generations and relies on them for writing and reading since none of his family is very talented in that area. His family bears excellent hunters instead.

His hair is cut very short, brown in color, and his eyes are just as dark. Out of the group, he has the manliest looks.

A young noble from the capital, came to the village to accompany his little cousin.

Raised to be 'superior' to others, Cyrille has an arrogant attitude but knows when he has to act nice. He believes that the Gods might be hiding secrets inside their cave, so he is highly interested in Farin who is allowed to enter it.

With ink-black, smooth hair down to his waist and dark green eyes, Cyrille is like a mix between Skari and Farin. Although he doesn't make it obvious he has been trained in fighting since young, which is why he has a healthy, muscular body hidden under expensive cloth.
