Soichiro Kumagawa's your average sleep-deprived, self-deprecating, strange-music-liking contrarian-in-denial teen. After moving back to his hometown following the death of his neglectful father, he finds himself forcefully contracted with his father's old familiar, a Yuki-Onna with the physical appearance of a child.

She then tells Soichiro of her mission to mold him into a great ghost hunter like his father.

The story follows Soichiro's encounters with the supernatural underground of his hometown as he hunts spirits to keep his familiar alive, all while experiencing the ups and downs of adolescence.
