A 28-year old forest ranger, having been working in his state's national forest, begins to hear a mysterious voice. One day he, having been hearing the voice in his head for months, makes his way back home from work to discover something amiss. He is chased out into the forest by a ghostly flame and encounters the origin of the voice. After a brief conversation with the apparition, he is sapped of his energy and dies.
Despite this, the ranger awakens in the body of a tiny fairy girl. Now a she, Evetta is given the heavy task of stopping the elementals that have been wreaking havoc throughout the world. Evetta's journey proves to be more hazardous than originally thought as she encounters terrifying beasts, fairy hunters, and deadly weather.

This one is worth a read. The first thing I noticed is that this fiction has chapters on the longer length for scribble hub. Expect most chapters to take close to an hour to read. The good:There is a lot of content here. It is really obvious that the author put a lot of effort into this work. Not a lot of fairy gender bender stories are on scribble hub. This one is one of the better ones. The author writes a lot from first person with a very limited view of what is going around. It is not a very common style and if the idea was to make things seem uncertain and unknown this story goes a good job of that. The Bad:I really didn't like the action scenes.1.) I've seen the 'gank' trope and it soured the story after the first physical confrontation. To be fair, there is foreshadowing but it steel feels like a ganking. Personally preference but I actually hate it when a MC goes from full health to defeated in a super short amount of time. There were hints but I felt like they were too vague, too ambiguous. The way everything came together came across as incredibly forced in that first conflict. a.) wasn't the forest supposed to be incredibly dangerous? b.) they go 6mo without seeing a single person and then two groups show up the same day or two, why?A lot of things just get left hanging out there. It is not really a plot hole but I felt the same kind of impression in spots.2.) Needlessly tossing unwieldy amounts of named characters. This happens at least twice. The knights group has a lot of names that a reader can't really be expected to remember. The story's characters started to get really hard to follow for that mini arc. It isn't even really needed because some of them play such a small role. This happens again with the introduction of a lot of faeries. There are too many for me to be expected to remember. To make things even more difficult there are as many different kinds of faeries as elements. I think there are 12 elements? And fairies can have more than one element so what is that 12 factorial combinations? How much is that? Anyway, hopefully that gets the point across.3.) Action scenes. Maybe it is just me but they don't read well. I found them jarring and in some spots got in the way of progressing the story. Why should the reader care about a tournament? It has nothing to do with the main character's goals so it just come a cross as blurry filler. Also I found them difficult to follow. That being said, the good outweighs the bad. Even with a coup sour spots I was invested enough in the story to make it to the end and that speaks more than anything else.
