The Galaxy is a large place, and of all the species there are Humanity is the most proficient at war and innovation, though definitely not the smartest or best killers, or technicians or any number of things. Though not the best in any one field individually, Humanities propensity for violence, warfare, adaptability and survival makes it a prime species for the Galactic games - a series of interstellar competitions set on several game worlds catering to various activities such as sports, crafting, and arguably the most popular, an entire planet dedicated to warfare.

Dave is one of many humans to be entered into the games, and dropped into the world of war in a struggle for his life and for a shot at being one of the few to win the game. Will he pull through and reunite with his family, or will he be dropped like so many others?
