I lived my whole live for others, doing nothing for my own gain. After facing a premature death, I am rewarded with the gift of reincarnation in another world... As a witch, on trial, and soon to face death unless a miracle happens. But perhaps miracles really do happen sometimes? Because on the brink of execution, I am offered a deal.
All I have to do is use my powers to aid the royal family, and I can go free. But... what exactly are those "powers" everyone keeps going on about? Because of some kind of "magic" I'm supposed to be able to use, I have to go with a princess on a mission neither of us really understands. And what's all this about me having to fight? I've never been in a fight in my life, you know — or at least that used to be the case in my old life.
Will I really be able to win my own freedom? Before my own powers start failing me, or even worse, before the very people I'm supposed to be helping turn against me...
I'll write a quick review so people know why this book has the rating it has.
Summary: story is pleasant to read but will be full of plot hole that you need to prepare your self to either read this with a forgiving mind set or to justify them in your head as you're reading.
At first I didn't understand why people had rated it so low, a fact reinforced when I started reading as the first few chapters were well written and enjoyable to read. The only flaw I found was that the character, despite being describe in difficult and emotional situations, always came across as rather bland or detached in these moments. Maybe it was the word choice the author used or it was just something that I personally found weird, I not sure know, but this was the only noticeable flaw that I found in my quick read.
However, it's not something that really put the reader off as the other parts made up for it. What puts the reader off - or me personally, at least - is the way the author forces the narrative along in the direction that doesn't seem natural. Now, I know some people might say 'Well isn't that what a story is? A series of events that the author is directing in a certain way' and yeah, you're right. But if things begin to seem forced, the reader is the one that has to start having to justify the characters actions in their head, leading to a very unpleasant story.
And boy is this story full of plot hole and moments where the reader is left wondering 'Why are they doing this?', 'Are these people stupid?' or 'seems pointless'. I came away from a chapter thinking 'none of that was necessary and should have never happened.'
The author does try to defend their choices but none of the reasons they forced in to the story, or reasons the world they have built would be able to justify, was in anyway satisfactory for me. I ended up coming away from each chapter filled with more questions then answers, questions that should not have been questions in the first place.
I won't go in to detail because I never write spoilers and I also won't turn people away from this book because it was very pleasant to read at first. I just want you to know that the story will be full of plot hole and you need to prepare your self to either read this with a forgiving mind set or to justify them in your head as you're reading.

as fas I've read, as a commentary here, its a plot full of holes few action doesn't make sense, the characters are strongly and resistance than it should be, all of it true, however its still enjoyable and the story itself has been a progression, not like trying to waste too much of your time only reading unnecessary things or only random phrases to get more lines, pehaps it has this, but the progression is still there, and I like progression in historys, and I'm giving 4stars, because I do find enjoyable the reading.
